All the staff are very welcoming, friendly and approachable; they work hard to create a relaxed environment for the residents and know the residents extremely well. Staff are caring and warm; offering reassurance to residents and naturally using humour to lighten spirits.
Staff were quick to notice any decline in my mum's health and always seek further advice if needed. The end of life care for my mother was exemplary; great care was taken to make sure Mum was comfortable and staff were especially kind and thoughtful, including supporting family members.
The building itself and rooms are in need of some refurbishment and TLC - a lot of work has been done over the last few years to improve the facilities, but more could be done to make the environment more inviting and homely.
A great deal of effort is made to take residents out into the community and also to provide entertainment and activities on site.
