I feel confident to leave my wife in the care home where she is looked after and safe. My only issue is that there doesn't seem to be much in the way of daily activities and stimulation, however I do understand the difficulties bearing mind the capabilities of the residents.

The activities lady is very good with my husband.

Really happy that my mum-in-law has settled in so well. We all feel she is well cared for at Avenue House and the staff are always friendly, welcoming and supportive.

We've found the perfect place in Avenue House for our mother. She is exceedingly well looked after and happy in herself. She has a lovely room with views onto their spacious gardens and the staff are professional and pleasant.

Very good care provided with friendly staff and personalised to my mum.

My Dad was only in Avenue House for a short time. The staff were amazing. they were friendly and compassionate. Nothing was too much for them, they went above and beyond. The rooms were cosy and the house was clean. No better place to be.

Avenue House is the cleanest, nicest care home I have ever seen. The staff were cheerful and treated my husband with respect and good humour. The food looked good, and we were always offered tea and coffee when visiting. The room was lovely with a view over the gardens, and had a television for entertainment. I would highly recommend it for anyone.

My Grandfather was a resident of Avenue House Care Home from last year and he was well looked after by the entire staff and carers. The service required to help him was excellent, and his needs were well met. He had a happy life there in the time that he had left and was looked after and I want to thank Avenue House Care Home and the entire staff for helping him to live a longer life.

My dad was a resident at Avenue House for 15 months. The care that he received from all staff was amazing. You have a superb team working for you Sam, I have to mention Sophie and Margaret in particular, who were superb at getting my dad out of his room to take part in activities and to look after him and make him feel safe and secure. The care home is clean and tidy at all times, the food on offer is excellent and the kitchen staff always provided food that dad liked. My dad passed away peacefully last Month in the night but in his last few days the end of life support from staff was off the scale. I would like to thank everyone at Avenue House for the care and support given to my dad

Wonderful experience, husband settled after the initial 5 weeks stay. Caring staff, and very understanding. Lovely varied food, varied activities which help with the condition. Overall very positive experience.

My mother was a resident at Avenue House for 4.5 years. During this time she was well looked after and gave us as a family reassurance she was happy and safe in her surroundings. Mum eventually moved to Nursing care and was really looked after in her final days. As a family we felt supported during this time. Any issues we have had we have been able to discuss these with the management team and have been able to work through any concerns we have had. All the staff have been supportive and as a family we can not thank them enough.

The team at Avenue House have taken good care of my mother and our family over the last 4 years. They have guided us throughout our mother's journey and I will now miss not seeing them every week. Thank you to all of the staff who do any amazing job!

My Dad has been at Oxendon House for just over a year now. He receives very good care and all staff are kind and considerate of his needs. I visit him often and observe professional, respectful and caring treatment to all residents and their families. I highly recommend Oxendon House.

The continued care and interaction I have had with each and every staff member I have encountered since that first afternoon has continued in the same vein. Helpful, communicative, understanding, supportive and knowledgeable. There is always something going on to encourage him to socialise and engage with others. I would definitely recommend Oxendon House.

Dad became a resident in November 2025, my brother and myself share the view that the staff and environment are perfect for my Dad's medical condition and needs. The staff are very patient, friendly and compassionate when dealing with Dad's very demanding nature. It's very homely and welcoming, it does feel like home from home. We often say its better than some hotels we've stayed in! The most important aspect for us as a family is that when we leave Dad after a visit we 100% know that he is being cared for and is safe, and that is what makes Oxendon House excellent.
