We've found the perfect place in Avenue House for our mother. She is exceedingly well looked after and happy in herself. She has a lovely room with views onto their spacious gardens and the staff are professional and pleasant.

My Dad was only in Avenue House for a short time. The staff were amazing. they were friendly and compassionate. Nothing was too much for them, they went above and beyond. The rooms were cosy and the house was clean. No better place to be.

Avenue House is the cleanest, nicest care home I have ever seen. The staff were cheerful and treated my husband with respect and good humour. The food looked good, and we were always offered tea and coffee when visiting. The room was lovely with a view over the gardens, and had a television for entertainment. I would highly recommend it for anyone.

My Grandfather was a resident of Avenue House Care Home from last year and he was well looked after by the entire staff and carers. The service required to help him was excellent, and his needs were well met. He had a happy life there in the time that he had left and was looked after and I want to thank Avenue House Care Home and the entire staff for helping him to live a longer life.

My dad was a resident at Avenue House for 15 months. The care that he received from all staff was amazing. You have a superb team working for you Sam, I have to mention Sophie and Margaret in particular, who were superb at getting my dad out of his room to take part in activities and to look after him and make him feel safe and secure. The care home is clean and tidy at all times, the food on offer is excellent and the kitchen staff always provided food that dad liked. My dad passed away peacefully last Month in the night but in his last few days the end of life support from staff was off the scale. I would like to thank everyone at Avenue House for the care and support given to my dad

Although he was unsure about going into The Avenue at first, they helped him to settle in and feel at home.
They really helped him to make his room feel like home, with photos of his beloved wife around the room and other personal items from home.
Family and visitors were always welcomed with polite greetings and smiling faces. Nothing was ever too much for the staff.
The care he recieved was second to none and staff always had his best interests at heart. Always treat him with dignity and respect and never took his independence away. They forever respected his wishes, especially towards the end of his life.
We will all always be eternally grateful for the care and compassion they showed this family member. Huge thanks to The Avenue Care Home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and comments
It was our pleasure to look after him, he is dearly missed by everyone

My mother was a resident at Avenue House for 4.5 years. During this time she was well looked after and gave us as a family reassurance she was happy and safe in her surroundings. Mum eventually moved to Nursing care and was really looked after in her final days. As a family we felt supported during this time. Any issues we have had we have been able to discuss these with the management team and have been able to work through any concerns we have had. All the staff have been supportive and as a family we can not thank them enough.

She enjoyed her time there and her standard of care was excellent. The staff were always caring and thoughtful.
We were impressed by the frequent activities , the activity coordinators are great , and arranged a variety of activities and were very attentive and encouraging to the residents.
Numerous visiting external entertainment was often arranged for residents which my mother enjoyed .
There was always a good variety of food and the kitchen staff always ensured my mother had food that she enjoyed.
Sadly my mother passed away at the beginning of December, and the staff were very caring and sensitive in her final weeks .
We thank the WHOLE team for their support and care during my mother's time there.

After a stay in hospital my uncle became frail and was deemed unfit to go back home and thankfully Avenue House had a room spare so he was discharged there in September 24.He was a private person and took a while to accept having to be washed and changed due to being bedridden and took a while getting used to the staff and accepting that he was not going home . He liked having his door closed and was not always talkative so the staff respected his privacy and would always call back later to see how he was . He always liked the meals and really liked the desserts and could always hear the tea trolley coming round . Being bedridden he was regularly visited to do puzzles to keep his mind active . His medical needs were well cared for and I was always informed if he was not well and if the doctor needed to visit . Early October 25 his health drastically declined and he peacefully passed away with me and his friend by his side . The family are so grateful for the care they gave him .

Mum has been a resident at Avenue House for over 7 years and has always been treated with respect and dignity. The staff are always friendly, and we are always greeted with a smile. All the staff are very well trained and rewarded for their hard work and achievements. WE are always kept informed of any problems with mum's health by the head nurse or deputy. The food is always freshly cooked by the kitchen staff, and always a choice of 2 dinners. The home is kept clean, and the residents are always clean and well-dressed. The manager's door is always open if we need to discuss anything.

My nana, has been at Avenue House since 2018 so 7 years. The staff are lovely, and the managers have been there around the same time, so it's nice to see them each time we visit each week. My nana seems happy here and likes it when they do games, parties and have the singers in.

The care and respect has been excellent since the beginning.
The team are always welcoming and shows a great relationship with them both.
Activities are well run and have engaged them both more than I would have expected.
We are happy that they settled here, and it is a comfort to know they are well cared for.
