Care Homes Owned by Church Farm Care in Nottinghamshire

The care staff are so kind and efficient. The food is very good + a good choice, the soups are homemade also the cakes, Birthdays + special occasions are celebrated. An excellent coffee morning for Macmillan + lots of activities, you can be taken to Radcliffe as well as to appointments e.g. hospital, eye test. Charity shopping and other shopping, lovely grounds. Nursing care is excellent and a marvellous physio named matt who is a real encourager. It has more than lived up to my expectations.

I visited Skylarks Dementia Care Home as a friend of a resident, so I can only comment on my own personal experience. I was always made to feel welcome when visiting, and it was lovely that I was able to bring my dog, Ralph, with me. The residents seemed to enjoy his visits too, which was lovely to see.

The meals appeared to be home-cooked, and there was a varied programme of activities and entertainment to help keep residents occupied and engaged.

I can't comment on every member of staff or every aspect of the care provided, but I can say that my experience as a visitor was a positive one. Feeling welcome and being able to bring Ralph along made visits that little bit more special, and I appreciated the friendly, inclusive atmosphere I experienced at Skylarks.

It can be very difficult when a family member goes into a care home. However, our experience is that Wren Hall has been the perfect and best choice for dad and for all the family. It feels like we've got dad back again.

My mum has been at Skylarks now for almost two years. As her dementia has progressed she has continued to be as happy and settled as she can be. She has a good rapport with many of the staff and is made to feel loved and valued. Generally, there is a good atmosphere in the lounge that mum resides in (particularly when it is calm and relaxed). The nursing staff pay close attention to her medical needs and keep us, as family, well informed. The chefs are great too. For individuals like my mum who require very soft food they go that extra mile to present appetising food in a creative way so that individuals can continue to engage with food and enjoy their meals. There are a variety of activities and trips out for residents who are able to participate, the dementia friends work hard across the home to facilitate this. My mum particularly enjoyed the river cruise in the summer along with a recent trip to a farm.

Staff kept us informed about any concerned at all times

My Mum's needs are very high following a severe stroke, Field House is the third home she's been in as the others couldn't give her the care she needs. At Field House they can. She's been there for nearly 6 years now. Staff are wonderful and caring and approachable.

Field house staff and the care given and the facilities are amazing. I was so lucky to be able with the help of a lot agencies to be able to get my sister in law placed with you. You are all my angels as I know she is so well loved and cared for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Eileen S xxx

I couldn't have asked for more loving and supportive care from all the team at Skylarks . My Mum was there for just under a year, and every single member staff made her feel so welcome, and took time to help with her specific needs. the facilities are great, the nursing team are well trained & supportive, the management are involved at every level of care. When it was mum's time to leave us, I felt that she was so well cared for ( as was I, as I truly became part of the family in those last few weeks) thank you so much. Obviously non of us want our parents to go into care, more pass away , but everything, and everyone here made it feel as close to her being at home as possible, and her passing was treated with such support, and dignity it was as if she passed away at home.

Also tea & coffee for visitors very welcome after their arrival to visit.

The care and attention to detail is outstanding, and this was evident when mum attended the daycare setting prior to moving into Wren Hall. Mum's interests and wishes are always taken into account and it gives me peace of mind knowing that all her needs are being met.

The home is always very clean and welcoming .

my brother has been resident at Field House Nursing Home since April 2016. Most of the time he has been bed ridden and only occasionally gets up, when he is hoisted into his wheelchair. He is uncomfortable in the wheelchair & prefers to lie in bed & watch TV, or listen to a visitor reading to him. All the carers at the home have shown him nothing but kindness, patience & respect in a very friendly way. He is very limited but still enjoys the food at the Home, which is good.

I wish to say that I am deeply grateful for the all the staff and care giving members, for their continuous dedication and support, and whenever I have visited..

My mother has been a resident for several years with severe dementia (Alzheimers/vascular) along with other medical conditions. The team at Church Farm have supported her throughout and managed her wellbeing excellently. They are attentive and regularly update me. They have regular activities with residents to make their lives enjoyable. The nursing home environment is welcoming and has a homely feel. The food is always good quality. Nothing but praise for the Team.

No complaints on the contrary the care is excellent staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble I would recommend the nursing home any one looking for a place for a loved one I find it difficult to imagine any where better

My Mum has been with Church Farm for over a year now and she has changed so much. The previous care home couldn't cope with her level of dementia. She was aggressive and refused to see me and join in activities. Since being at Church Farm she is much less aggressive and I have more happy visits with her. She's always clean and well presented. The staff really know what they're doing and as a visitor I always get a friendly greeting. I would recommend this home highly.

Mum was a family member here for almost 4 years before passing away very recently. We were so lucky to have managed to keep here there until the end. The staff team, no matter which team, were fabulous. Always kind, compassionate and patient. There was never the word 'no' to any request and there is very much an emphasis on the resident being part of a family. Mum enjoyed many and various activities and outings while she was able.

During Mums final days, we were kept informed and included every step of the way and this helped to make the time as bearable as possible.

We thank Church Farm staff for caring for Mum so well.

My dad has been at Church Farm for nearly two years, and I have been extremely impressed with the care and support he has received during this time. The staff are always kind, patient and compassionate towards my dad, and it is reassuring to know he is being so well looked after. I would thoroughly recommend Church Farm to anyone looking for a caring and supportive home for their loved one.

On the several occasions I have been in the UK to visit my dad at Church Farm I have been in complete awe with the team of wonderful people that care for him. I feel incredibly lucky that my dad is surrounded by such kind, positive and empathetic individuals and teams. The team in my dads section are so much fun and exceptionally talented. In addition to going over and above their day job of looking after everyone, they equally have time for you - they really are all superstars and deserve the recognition for what they do each day. I think all the reviews on this home are testament to this - how each team member makes a difference, each day to the residents, relatives and each other. Thank you for making each visit special and if the world had more people like them in it would be a wonderful place.
