The manager and the staff at Greenacres cared for Mum for two and a half years from February 2022 until Mum sadly passed away in August 2024. Mum had previously been bed-bound and very isolated at home. The manager visited Mum before she moved into Greenacres to learn more about her and the family,
this was invaluable in helping Mum settle in. Within days of arriving at Greenacres, Mum was a different woman. Mum was able to walk using aides and the care given to mum increased her confidence resulting in her recovering her sense of humour and love of life. All of the staff we encountered at Greenacres were loving and caring. As Mum's health deteriorated during her last few months the staff did everything they could to make her comfortable. Our family will forever be grateful to the manager and all of the staff at Greenacres.

My mum had been living with us for almost twenty months. She had been suffering from dementia and macular degeneration. It became increasingly difficult for us to care for Mum and we jointly decided that it would be best if she went into a care home. I looked at a few within our area, and of all those,
it was clear that Greenacres was our favoured option. After a meeting with the care home manager, arrangements were made for Mum to be admitted in June 2022. Mum settled in straight away and began to bond with members of the staff and other residents. We ourselves found the staff caring and supportive and treated Mum with kindness, dignity and respect. For this, we will always be truly grateful. Mum passed away on 17th January 2023 after a short and unexpected illness and a member of staff was with her at the time of her passing. Many thanks to the manager and her staff for everything they did for Mum and for supporting us during this difficult time.

My dad has been totally opposed to going into a home for the past two years. It had been quite a struggle to convince him that it would be best for him to be well cared for. I live in Australia so was very concerned about him being alone at home. When he finally got transferred from hospital to Greenacres
back in August he surprised us all by saying how lovely the staff were and what a great place it was. He has now become permanent and has really settled in. Even playing bingo and having a singalong. He was quite a loner at home. I have spoken with the staff frequently over the telephone and they have all been lovely. This has taken a lot of stress off my shoulders.

Recently my mother in law spent a week respite care in the home. Despite the report from the CQC we found Wavertree Nursing & Residential home to be very pleasant, staff were very professional, caring and friendly. My mother in law, when previously in respite care hates it, she had a fabulous time,
everyone giving her the due care and attention she wanted and quite willing to return there when we are next going away.

This care home has provided excellent personal, social and nursing care to my dad. They have been there when his dementia has been evident, have been very supportive and helpful to myself and showed respect, care and lots of affection for my dad. My dad rates the food and staff highly. The new management
team are exceptional in their dedication, care and commitment to residents and relatives. I have always hear the staff talking very lovingly to residents. Excellent in very many ways. No complaints at all to date!
