Betty is extremely happy here as she is so well cared for . Thank you to all the staff, you are doing a brilliant job. I wish there was bit more entertainment for the resident , singers or even if Steven could have a tablet he could take round and play the resident favourite music.

My mum arrived at Newlands in October 2025 from Hospital. Since her arrival, she has improved so much and settled in so well. She is very happy in her new home. The staff are very caring and attentive and have made her feel so welcome and loved. They are all very caring towards her and treat her with dignity at all times. This has given our family the peace of mind we were looking for, knowing that she is safe and happy. Moving to Newlands has been the best decision we made for her and for us. The staff and management give an all round excellent service and i would highly recommend this home to anyone that is looking to make a decision for their loved ones.

My Mum went into Newlands Hall from Dewsbury Hospital. The staff were amazing at the home. Excellent care, can't fault them at all. Mum was very happy to be home and everyone thought mum was amazing. Every member of staff were great. Mum took to one of the Careers and he quickly became her fourth Grandson. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place that really cares.

My mum has been in this care home for 16 months. We as a family are very pleased with her care, the attention she gets from the staff is brilliant. They are a very caring and lovely bunch of people. I hope she ends her days being looked after by lovely staff. The cleanliness is also very good. I have never walked into Newlands and smelt urine ever. It is a very clean care home.

The family were always made welcome and the staff were very friendly, helpful and supportive. My father was well cared for by all nursing and care staff, they showed him kindness and respect throughout his stay at Acorn Nursing Home.

My experience of this care home was not to be faulted. Our father was treated with the ultimate respect. He was cared for and treated throughout his time at Acorn Nursing Home with dignity. The staff were excellent, very caring, hospitable and welcoming creating a warming atmosphere and lovely cup of tea.

Always smiling, my aunt looks so much healthier here, I know it's only respite but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I have found Newlands Hall to have excellent staff, very caring, they will do anything in their power to help. The place is very clean. The food is always cooked fresh and very good. Residents are well-kept and dressed. I would recommend Newlands Hall to anyone.

Residents seem in their element when there are activities on.

My father had resided at the home for a year or so. Throughout that time, whenever I visited, I found staff to be hospitable and friendly. The environment clean and sanitary. The residents all presented as being content and happy. In September 2023 my father celebrated his 90th birthday and the service facilitated birthday celebrations. Many family and friends attended and Acorn’s hosting was exemplary. My father’s own bedroom was always clean and my father was always supported well with his personal care and health needs. Visiting was never restricted and we were always made to feel welcome. Sadly my father passed away today and again the staff and management at Acorn supported the family sensitively and with great compassion. The dignity and respect shown to my father in his last hours and indeed throughout his time at Acorns was unwavering and we will forever be in their debt. Well done to all staff and management at Acorn and long may the outstanding work continue.

Mum was looked after at Newlands Hall Care Home for 8 years. Throughout all those years I have always felt she was lovingly cared for which put my mind at rest with the very upsetting and difficult situation of my mother needing more and more help after developing vascular dementia. As Mum approached end of life in January this year I couldn't have wished for a more caring, considerate and loving staff. They showed great sympathy and love to me and my family at this very difficult time. They did everything possible to care for her to the very end and I cannot thank them enough.

Apart from some clothes missing care was good, he had good meals staff are caring easy to park outside they tell you visitor's hours so overall good, had someone going in and doing puzzles with him their doctor was good if needed.

Newlands staff are lovely. Really impressed with how they are taking care of my mum. Nothing is too much trouble. Even though Mum is suffering badly with dementia and is challenging at times, staff always treat her with respect. I am more than happy with the care she receiving.

This is the 3rd home my dad has been in, but Newlands is the only home he has settled in. I am absolutely delighted with the care my dad is receiving. The care is second to none and the carers are wonderful and communicative. The care he receives makes me able to relax as I know my dad is fine and being looked after.

I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
