Review of The Willows from Andrew W (Son of Resident) published on 21 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mother is currently a resident in the Willows care home. It's situated in the quiet village of Burton Fleming. Its out in the sticks, but my mother grew up in a similar village and appreciates the quiet countryside feel of the area.
I felt I needed to post a review to say thank you to all the staff that work there. They all do a brilliant job.
When my mum first arrived she had lost her confidence due to ongoing health issues with her gallbladder. And sadly her memory was not what it once was a year or two ago.
The staff made great efforts to get her back to the point that she regained her confidence to go out on trips on the minibus. They also targeted things that she liked such as animals, music and to have a sing along.
I also like the fact that there are several areas to go in the home, so they residents are not stuck in the same room daily. When it's warm enough they open the doors to a patio area.

A great little care home. Thank you for looking after our mum.

Review of Woodlands Nursing Home from Caroline W (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Truly wonderful staff who really care. I have every confidence that mums needs are met. The staff are proactive in their responses to any problems that arise and feedback accordingly. I have raised concerns during the past 12 months and all matters have been settled in a timely and professional manner. There is always someone available to discuss changes and any concerns. The food is outstanding!

Review of Woodlands Nursing Home from Stephen M (Son of Resident) published on 17 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My father Bernard has dementia and I moved him to Woodlands in 2022. He took a little while to settle but is now totally settled at the home. The staff were very good at making that transition to the home. I regularly visit my father to take him out for a while from the home. I have therefore, come to know a number of the staff. I find that they are very understanding of his needs. An example of this was when I last visited. He need to change his trousers. Although he doesn't like fuse one of the staff skilfully persuaded him to change the trousers. Every member of staff including maintenance staff always welcome him with a 'Hi Bernard' and are very friendly.
The few issues I have encountered have been overcome very well by the managers of the home. Indeed I have had to ask for medical reports to allow me to complete my annual Court of Protection report. The managers have always competed this with expertise.

I would recommend the home to other users.

Review of Rosegarth from Gary F (Son of Resident) published on 4 July 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The home is excellent but what really makes Rosegarth standout are the staff, they are exceptional in dealing with not only my mother but all the residents they care for. Always up for a laugh and a joke but take their jobs very seriously.
Family are encouraged to stay for meals to help make it more family focused where possible.
The staff had my mother in tears for her birthday staff and management looked after her and spoilt her rotten which was fantastic.
As for food, well there is nothing I can say about that except there is plenty of it and its all home cooked and tastes great.
They also do other activities, last week there was a barbeque for all the residents and to see their faces light up being outside in the summer sun was amazing and just the sort of thing I have come to expect from them all.

The room my mother is in is large with an ensuite bathroom where she can take care of her self when able but the staff are always on hand should she need assistance

Review of The Willows from Tracey M (Friend of Resident) published on 21 July 2023 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

The Willows is situated in the lovely village of Burton Fleming. I visit my friend on a regular basis and have always found the management and staff very friendly and helpful. I am always made welcome and nothing is too much trouble. I can have meals with my friend anytime which is nice. The residents always look clean and tidy and are interacted with, by the staff, well. The manager has an open-door policy and is always available for a chat. I know if I had any concerns that they would be dealt with promptly as the manager welcomes concerns to make the home a better place for the residents to live in.
