I am happy with the service offered by the care home to one of my sisters. I have to say that all the staff I have met until now , are very kind, welcoming and professional. I must also say that they are very welcoming with the visits to the residents.

Review of St Pauls Nursing Home from A G (Resident / Service User) published on 23 April 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I find the accommodation very good in a nice area they have a beautiful big garden. I love my own room so bright. All the staff are very helpful. I find the carers really have time to see to you and are very kind. The nurse very understanding, they listen to you and helpful. There is quite a lot of activities, quiz, exercise classes, choirs and singers coming in. It's a lovely place to end my days with nice memories.

Review of The Minims from Jane C (Sister of Resident) published on 7 August 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Definitely not recommend and we had the the worst experience you could ever imagine placing a loved into care for the first time here. The home is poorly managed, with rude, unprofessional and untrained staff that are incapable of providing basic care. Care standards were so disgusting that I was constantly on the phone logging issues with the CQC. Unfortunately they haven't had a CQC review for several years so their rating in NOT and accurate representation. If you are considering placing your loved one in this home I urge you to seriously reconsider. Complaints are not well received by management and if you complain they will ensure that all your rights as a family member are taken away from you whilst they take complete control and refuse to share any records and information about the health and welfare of your loved one. Avoid at all costs

Reply from Karen Gilroy, Head of Marketing & Communications - SJOG at The Minims

This review reflects a personal view, but it bears no resemblance to the standards of care provided at The Minims. Make up your own mind. Please come to see us and see how good we are. You'll meet the qualified, skilled and knowledgeable team, who can talk to you about their training on their...

Review of Villa Maria from Cath M (Niece of Resident) published on 24 April 2024 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My aunt has been at Villa Maria for some time. She is very content, she always remarks on the kindness and also the support she receives from the staff team and the sisters. Anytime that I visit I am very aware of the warmth, the sense of community and the compassion that appears to be at the very heart of everything that everyone at Villa Maria does.
