My elderly friend has been in Carrick Nursing Home for two weeks previously in an NHS hospital. For the first time in nearly two years my friend is out of bed got her clothes on, teeth in rings on bathed and hair washed regularly. I cannot tell you the difference in her at 92 years of age she is back
to her old self.
The staff are so lovely caring compassionate and respectable to my friend and the other residents.

Overall the care is very good. I feel that some finder details such as keeping wardrobes tidier needs addressing. On occasions I tidy mum's clothes up as there are often items of clothing on the floor of her wardrobe.
I also have concerns that a glass or jug of water is not left in the room in
the evening after mum goes to her room after her evening meal. I feel that 2 -3 hours without a drink in the evening is excessive.

My late father resided at the Carrick Nursing Home until he died in January 2025.
The standard of care provided in his last few days by the nursing staff and care providers was exemplary.
My wife, daughter and I have built good relationships with all the staff members and their support and compassion
before and after his passing was a great comfort.

My mother has been, at Parkhouse Manor, for a couple of years. She is very happy with the care and attention received. She is also very happy with the food offered. During my visits, I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful and it is obvious that the staff really care for those they look
after. There are always lots of staff around and seem to engage well with the residents. If ever there are any medical or other issues with my mother's care, I or one of my sisters always receive an informative call from a member of staff. The only issue I have is, as my mother has dementia, she is now unable to use her mobile phone which makes easy telephone contact, with her, pretty difficult and can entail many unanswered calls from myself or my sisters. I do, however, understand that telephone lines have to be kept as clear as possible but I feel that this is an issue that could be addressed.

The Carrick Nursing Home provides excellent care for both my father and mother-in-law.
The home manager is extremely supportive and approachable with any questions we may have. She knows the residents very well and has a lovely rapport with them, as well as my husband and me.
The housekeeping manager
is also super. She is very supportive of residents and families and has great with all the residents.
The nursing staff always ensure we are kept informed about the health and well-being of my in-laws. The care, dignity and compassion they provide is excellent.
All supporting staff are superb. They go above and beyond to ensure that the residents are treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
All staff have gone out of their way to support my husband and me during an extremely stressful time.
The home is always spotless, warm and comfortable. The range of activities is varied and inclusive for all residents.
Can’t thank the staff enough.

My family are overwhelmed by the care and support our mother receives from the staff and management at Carrick House. We are always consulted about any health issues and are given regular updates on her wellbeing. We are able to see how she is included in the activities offered by the staff. She is
always beautifully dressed and has her hair done weekly, which she likes. My mother always appears happy when we visit. We appreciate all the staff's efforts.

Dad became a resident of Carrick House last July (2022). I am very impressed with the standard of care. The team know my Dad well and respond to his needs, spot deterioration quickly and act appropriately. He is encouraged to participate in the activities and enjoys them. Care is taken to modify the
experience to his ability. Equally, sometimes he just likes to snooze in his chair as he did at home. It is a well-run team with well-developed staff. Housekeeping - excellent, catering - excellent, nursing care and communication - superb.

Mum has been at Carrick House for almost a year. She has settled in quickly and is happy and content. The friendly local staff make her feel at home and she is treated like family. Whenever I visit the staff are always attentive and chatting with the residents. The care is first class and communication
with me is excellent at all times. I have complete confidence in the staff and management to do what is best for my Mother. I cannot recommend Carrick House highly enough.

My wife recently moved into Carrick House and has settled very well and has become confident and happier within herself in the short time living there. The staff are great. My wife has also started eating again.

Staff are very patient and attentive to residents with more challenging health issues. The home welcomes visitors and does understand the reaction of some to their relatives' health issues. Residents do seem to be very content. The staff react to health issues and keep relatives updated. The home continues
to be very careful with regards to potential COVID infections being brought into the home.

I was worried that my Dad wouldn't settle at the care home but my concerns were totally unfounded. The staff at Parkhouse Manor are so lovely and attentive. I think the care and facilities are excellent. The activities are very good and leaders engaging and enthusiastic. I just wish my mum would take part.
I'd love to be more involved and for mum to be enabled to regain more mobility. Physiotherapy input would be great. All in all it seems to be a lovely
place to live and I appreciate the care.

Everybody is so nice and extremely helpful. My room is lovely - nice and cosy with my own television and toilet. Food has been very good. I would recommend this to anyone.

The quality and level of care provided by Carrick House Nursing Home is second to none. Staff at all levels go above and beyond their remits to provide an exceptionally caring and supportive environment to their residents. My own mother has experienced the most secure, safe and comforting environment

My wife has been resident at Carrick House for 2 years and during that time I am happy to report she has been well cared for. Any issues I may have had have been attended to immediately. The home is fortunate to have good management and staff, some of whom give of their own free time on occasions and
