I moved in two years ago from the Limes Hospital. I was made very welcome. I got to know all clients and staff. I absolutely loved learning to bake and cook. I also had support with budgeting, and how to navigate myself around Chesterfield. Got me used to outside life again. Now because of all the support,
I have my own flat and freedom. Life is good. Thank you all at Goldhill!

Chilwell House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My daughter has been a residents at Chilwell House for five years. During this time she has been resistant to working with the staff to improve her independence and future outcomes. With a holistic approach and a willingness to include us and work closely with social services, they have finally had
a break through and our daughter is now on what is a strongly supported road to recovery. Now she has the ability to embrace what looks like a very bright future. Without Abby and her teams acceptance of challenging behaviour and unwavering faith in their client's to rehabilitate, it would have been a very sad story for us and our family. Abby never lost her faith in our daughter even when we did. We will always be very grateful to Chilwell House and all its staff for their unwavering dedication to their clients and for saving our daughter.
Reply from Abby Pritchard, Registered Manager at Chilwell HouseThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. It truly means a great deal to the whole team at Chilwell House.
Supporting your daughter over the past five years has been an important journey for all of us, and we are incredibly proud of the progress she has made. Our aim has always been to provide compassionate, person-centred support while working closely with families and professionals, so it is wonderful to hear that you felt included and supported throughout this process.
Your daughter's resilience and determination have played a huge part in reaching this point, and it has been a privilege for Abby and the team to walk alongside her during this time. Seeing her now moving forward on a positive and hopeful path is exactly why we are so passionate about the work we do.
Thank you again for your kind words and for placing your trust in Chilwell House. We wish your daughter every success and happiness as she continues on her journey.

My sister has been a client at Jubilee for over a year now and i cannot believe the improvement i have seen in her. She is so much happier than she had been in a long time. The staff have been so welcoming and have had such a positive effect on her. Jubilee is a lovely place and my sisters flat is modern
and spacious. My sister is working towards moving into the community and through the support she has recieved since being at Jubilee, this is now a realistic goal.
Reply from Melanie Strong, Supported Living Manager at Jubilee HouseThank you so much for sharing this. I often come to visit my friend at jubilee house, where he appears to be thriving. The staff and manager often go above and beyond with the support they offer. My friend has held a job down for over 6 months now which has helped him to remain stable with his mental health. The building is welcoming
and always clean. I would like to thank all the staff there for doing a great job.
Reply from Melanie Strong, Supported Living Manager at Jubilee HouseIt truly means a great deal to all of us here at Jubilee House to hear such positive feedback. We are incredibly proud of the progress your friend has made, particularly in maintaining his job for over six months - that's a fantastic achievement and a real testament to his hard work and determination.

My friend has been staying at Jubilee House for just over a year now, and I just wanted to express how grateful I am for the incredible care he's received. He transitioned into the service gradually, and the staff at Jubilee were absolutely brilliant throughout, especially during a time when he became
very unwell. They truly went above and beyond to support him. I'd also like to give special thanks to the manager at Jubilee, who arranged for him to have some respite at GoldHill. This made a huge difference in his recovery. The manager and staff at GoldHill provided outstanding care and played such a vital role in helping him get back on his feet. He now returned to Jubilee and is doing ever so well! I can't thank the teams enough for working together so seamlessly to make his life better. The staff are not only professional but also genuinely kind and caring, and they've done so much to help.

I've only been with Aspire just over a week as a resident at Chilwell House. The staff are absolutely FANTASTIC, super supportive, funny/ bonkers and understanding. They always put a smile on my face! The activities set out makes me feel like I have accomplished something meaning my confidence is already
getting better! Also helping me build a routine since that's something I've always lacked and struggled with. I am super super grateful for the team here and I know I'm going to do well in my journey here. Thank you so much already! I am finally starting to become happy after such a long time- thanks to you guys!

I currently reside at Chilwell House. I have been here two months & I have another month to go untill I am moved on to their sister house in Chesterfield as I have progressed a lot in the relatively short time I have been here. I came to Chilwell from hospital as it was not safe to go back to my previous
residence. I am very happy & impressed by the care I receive & the standard of staff that work here. They look after me extremely well with care & advice, they are all incredibly friendly & on top of things. They have achieved a stability and standard of living for me here that I did not receive in the 4 & a half years i resided at my previous supported living.

I've lived at Chilwell House for 4 years and 4 months. I find the staff friendly and approachable, they are extremely professional and they will always help me no matter what it is and in an expident manner. The activities are educational, interactive and fun. The food satisfies my dietary requirements
but the lack of choice can be frustrating at times. I am very satisfied overall, the staff and facilities are exceptional and being a resident here has greatly improved my quality of life.

I have lived here at Goldhill for around 6 months, and in that time I feel my confidence has improved a lot and I am really happy with the support I receive. Initially, I was worried about moving into a new setting, however, all staff were welcoming and made me feel comfortable and safe. I feel safe
at Goldhill and the staff are friendly and make sure you are always involved in activities. I have made some new friends while living here and have been out into the community with my peers and staff for a friendly game of football.

I feel this place has been really good for me. I feel I have a lot more freedom and independence since I moved in. Staff helped me get a voluntary job and I work four days a week. I like the outings to the seaside, arts and crafts, pampering and active hour. Goldhill is very clean and we all take part
in active hours where we all help clean. I enjoy this because it makes me proud of where I live and my home. My key worker helped me decorate my bedroom and she supports me with shopping. My key worker also took me on holiday for a weekend which I enjoyed. I like it here and I like the staff and management. They care for us. Thank you all.

I have been living at Goldhill House for a year and a half. The building is very clean, I get good cooked meals. The staff are friendly and professional. I like the manager she is supportive and fair. I enjoy the day trips to the seaside and going fishing with my key worker. I feel I have a lot of support
and I have had a lot of restrictions taken off me due to the progress I have made. I have managed to stay off drugs and have a supportive social worker and advocate. My goal is to step down to their supported living facility Jubilee House. I feel lucky to be at Goldhill House.

My niece has struggled with her mental health and substance misuse for years. It was always difficult to keep her occupied and for her to work towards achieving her goals. Goldhill House was suggested to us by a social worker we have known for years. I must say when we were invited to view the home
by the registered manager, it exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, super clean and smelt lovely. The staff were so professional and registered manager was so warm and welcoming. Since my niece moved in she has gained so much independence, she can now cook, clean and take medication without help. We never thought as a family she would get here. I feel that Goldhill House is the best mental health rehabilitation facility in Chesterfield! The team at Goldhill House should be so proud.
