I would just like to thank everyone from management to all staff working at Hepscott care home for all your hard work care & compassion for my Dear friend Dennis who sadly passed away on 13 August 2025 having been a Resident for 6 months it was a great Relief to seen the care & compassion by the various staff members on my frequent visits to see Dennis & I know how great full he was as was his family I'd like to mention in particular Claire who hosted a family celebration for Dennis 47th wedding Anniversary young Laura for the care she gave to Dennis wife having Noticed she was upset & once again Claire & Kenny who 2 weeks before Dennis passed took him out into the garden in the glorious sunshine for a cuppa his Garden at home was his pride & joy & to see him smile out in the sunshine ment a lot it's the simple things in life that count the staff at Hepscott do a great job in some times difficult circumstances & smile through it they are a credit to the owners of this business.
We had to make the hardest decision as a family recently to place my lovely Dad in a care home. I visited one and I was made to feel we were intruding on the place, it did not 'feel right', we then visited Hepscott Care Centre and instantly we were shown in and made to feel welcome. He lives there now and has really settled in due to the lovely staff and care they give, as a nurse myself, I can be quite particular in the way my dad is cared for, but as a daughter, I am over the moon with how he is treated and looked after. My dad deserves the best, so any issues or concerns I may have had been listened to and resolved in a timely manner. I would highly recommend the home for the staff, their kindness and the excellent home made food. Well done!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We know how difficult these decisions can be, and we're so pleased your dad has settled in well. Our team will be delighted to know their kindness, care, and home-cooked meals have made such a difference. It's our privilege to care for him and we truly appreciate your recommendation.
Many thanks to all the staff at Hepscott Care Centre for helping us all celebrate my brother's 47th wedding anniversary. It was a lovely mixture of care and fun, with the staff going above and beyond expectations.
I would like to thank all the staff at Hepscott Care Centre for helping us celebrate my brother-in-law's wedding anniversary. It was done with care, dignity & fun. Everyone enjoyed the day. The staff always go above & beyond expectations, and today was no exception. Many thanks again.
Thank you to all staff at the care home for their help to us for celebrating our wedding anniversary. They helped in making it extra special. Staff here are very good, nothing is too much bother to them.
My husband went to live at Hepscott Care Centre after an incident at home I soon realised it was impossible for me to meet his needs, and most importantly I could not keep him safe. All of the staff have been exceptional and they have got him to smile again. We now spend quality time together and I am no longer afraid for his well-being. The team assured the residents they are no trouble at all and that nothing is a bother for them (even us visitors). They treat everyone with respect, kindness, smiles on their faces and a reassuring voice. My hubby and I now have a future together thanks to all who work tirelessly at Hepscott Care Centre.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a positive review! We are delighted that your husband has settled in so well and that you are happy with the care provided! From the team at Hepscott
The room is very sparsely decorated and cold during the day as the curtains are very thin and not lined. The wardrobe is not that stable and could topple on a resident if the doors are pulled rigorously. There is only a chair to discourage guests to her room. Her personal bathroom supplies keep disappearing from her en-suite and her clothes are not returned from the laundry.
My mam has been at Hepscott for a couple of months and is settling in well. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. When we have had an issue (washing of missing items) it has been resolved to our satisfaction.
My 94-year-old aunt has been a permanent resident for 6 months. She is very well looked after and cared for. The staff are all really lovely and they treat her with dignity and consideration. The management seem to have a real commitment to providing a safe and comfortable environment with regular activities and events for both residents and relatives. The home is bright and welcoming. I've stayed and had lunch with my aunt a few times and the food is delicious. I can't thank the staff enough for their patience and kindness towards my aunt while doing such a physically and emotionally demanding job. It's obviously more than a job to them but a real vocation.
Thank you for your review. It is a pleasure looking after your aunt.
While maybe not the best in appearance, Hepscott Care Centre is a safe and friendly place pf residence where my mum is well cared for. The staff are dedicated and caring and treat residents with warmth and respect.
Second occasion to use the facility. Have been impressed with the standard of care from the staff. Compassion and a friendly, reassuring manner shown to my father and myself. Covid safety measures adhered to. Understanding of Dads needs. Dad was clean, well-fed, cheerful and relaxed when we visited. All enquiries were dealt with promptly. We would be happy and reassured if/when Dad needs further care at the care home.
Thank you for your kind words regarding the care your Dad has received whilst staying with us. I will pass your comments on to the staff, and we look forward to your Dad visiting in the future.
The staff are wonderful, with seemingly infinite patience. I don't know how they do it. It's a pity more advanced patients couldn't be separated more from new arrivals, but it's an old, adapted building. I don't know how often they get to sit out in the summer, I don't think there is anywhere for them to walk outside. Residents lack stimulation, weekly activities seem to be limited to half an hour of armchair exercises and half an hour of pat dog visit. Occasionally the local school comes up and the Methodist Church visit at festival times. There is usually a calm atmosphere. The staff, however, are all very special, they do an impossible job with cheerfulness and forbearance. I admire them.
Staff brilliant, caring and really helpful with any problems.
Overall, a very good care facility but falls down due to lack of staffing. All staff give 100% plus while working. Residents are treated extremely well with individualised care appropriate to their needs. Unfortunately, there appears to be a lack of activities for residents, a very necessary commodity. My mother is certainly happy living here.
Haydon View care staff provide a very caring environment. The staff respond to my mother's needs in ways that show they understand her. Their gentle caring ways allow her to relax and not become distressed. The home itself is a relaxing environment, providing quiet spaces and company, but most importantly choice.
Haydon View have provided care for my Mum and Dad for the last four months. It gives me peace of mind to know their needs are being met with such high standards of care and professionalism. The home creates a family feel for the residents and it truly is a home from home. Staff are friendly, good-humoured and professional, engaging with residents and giving them a high level of care for their health needs too. They know the residents who live there as individuals.
A big thank you to the staff.
In my opinion, my sister received proper care and attention at all times. I am very happy with the environment she is in and happy with the staff, food and care she receives.
My sister has been a resident for 6 months. During which time I have visited regularly and I have always found her to be cheerful and well groomed. All her needs have been met adequately. I have always found the staff to be helpful.
I have been surprised and pleased with the standards maintained by the staff at Hepscott Care Centre. The atmosphere is very friendly. One of the most important aspect of the care is the attention to detail, however small.
