Overall Experience

All staff were professional, friendly and empathetic. The care home was clean, although it could do with some redecoration as some areas looked a little tired. There were plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied and stimulated.
The food was varied and of good quality. Above all, I would

not hesitate in recommending this care home. The manager kept us up to date with all aspects of my mum's care and any relevant information.

Overall Experience

My aunt moved to the home from Northern England and with a diagnosis of Alzheimers. The staff were amazing, dedicated and compassionate. The residence has such a lovely homely feel. It is immaculately clean and so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for the home. At the end of my aunts life the

staff were incredible. They allowed me to stay all night. They got me a table so that I could work and stay with my aunt. I was blessed to be by my aunts side when she passed away and the dignity and respect shown by the manager and her team was amazing. There are not enough words to express how incredible this home is.

Overall Experience

When my brother got dementia we reviewed several homes but Arran Manor was the nicest in our opinion, homely & welcoming, staff were great and management very helpful they looked after my brother really well and treated him with dignity and kindness. They were very helpful to us as a family and enabled

us to deal with his death when he died. I have nothing but respect for the staff & management of Arran Manor.

Overall Experience

My brother-in-law was a resident for 18 months in that time he was always treated very well by the staff. We visited regularly and were allowed to go at any time which gave us peace of mind. The staff were always friendly and helpful towards our family and the case of my brother-in-law was excellent.

I can give nothing but praise for the management and staff who allowed him to live with dignity. Sincere thanks to them all.

Overall Experience

My brother had been at Arran Manor for 19 months before he passed away in December. I felt that we, as a family, were lucky to have found him such a caring home. He had severe dementia and was getting worse over the last few months of his life. The staff, and I must mention tow of them who were extremely

kind to him when it got difficult for him to understand had so much patience and understanding for him. The Home made us feel comfortable for our visits to see him and always offered us Tea or coffee which was so nice of them. Members of the caring team even came to his funeral which was a lovely thing to do and was appreciated so much by our family On the day of his funeral, the team all stood outside the Home to say their goodbyes to him which was very moving. I think about the old folks in Arran quite often and wonder how they are doing. I think it might be time for me to pop back to the home for that cup of tea.

Overall Experience

I continue to be very happy with the care Mum receives. The staff are very patient as her dementia can make her challenging to deal with but they are always happy and smiling. They also inform me at every stage of anything to do with Mum's well-being and listen to my suggestions to help and support

her challenging behaviours. I witness this at every visit with other residents too.

Overall Experience

My auntie has been a resident at Arran Manor for several years since the death of her husband. As a next of kin, I have been impressed with the quality of care and the overall environment.
The care home offers a welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are well-maintained, in a comfortable and safe environment

for residents, more a home from home, than a formal care institution. The communal areas are spacious and well-furnished, encouraging social interaction among residents.
The care provided at Arran Manor is extremely good. The staff are genuinely compassionate, ensuring that each resident receives personalised care tailored to their needs and allowing residents to feel valued and supported.

Overall Experience

My mum has been a resident at Arran Manor since May 2010.
She went in with mild Dementia but this has progressed greatly and is now very advanced.
She is bed-bound and needs feeding with liquidised food.
The staff regularly have to turn mum to stop bed sores.
The standard of care is very good and

the staff are friendly, efficient and very caring.

My mother who was the service user was treated with dignity and respect all of the time that she was resident at Arron Manor. Her health improved when she first became a resident, which to me shows that there is a very, very high level of care provided. I would fully recommend this home based on my

Overall Experience

First off, this is not a "care home" it is a home where there is care, warmth and empathy. The people who work here regard everyone as individuals. It is small and the residents here have different reasons for being here but it feels like a group of friends.

Our Mum had dementia and Alzheimer's.

She had lost weight and was quite poorly when we brought her here three years ago but her health and engagement improved noticeably due to the care she had.

When we arrived, Mum and myself were reassured and when I returned later, Mum was settled. Over time Mum's anxiety, Alzheimer's and unsteadiness increased. The interventions used to help mum were informed, creative and communicated well, they helped her adapt to the way she needed medications, ate and slept.

When mum passed it was dignified and without pain, in comforting surroundings. The sense of warmth from the team and residents made it clear that this was the best choice of care for mum we could have had. We'd highly recommend.
