My mother was a resident from July 2024-Dec 2024 when she was asked to leave due to her challenging dementia behaviour. The home is lovely and clean but they cannot say that they are dementia friendly. They called me constantly complaining about my mum and called the ambulance numerous times as my mum
was so wound up she had panic attacks. My mum has moved and is like a new woman where she is now. So much happier, no anxiety and they never call me complaining. Sid Bailey is a lovely care home but they cannot treat dementia patients with the patience and respect they deserve.

Dad had a lovely time, it was nice to see him join in various activities.
I was happy the staff came up instantly to give him a 'welcome back' hug.
Our requests for a room with a busy view have always been managed. (Dad doesn't see many people/outside from his bungalow window).

My husband moved into Montagu Hall when I was unable to manage his care at home. It's a beautiful place, kept spotless and with staff who genuinely care for, even love, the residents. I feel that they could not have given him any better care if he'd been their own grandad. The end of his life was handled
with great skill and compassion for him, me and the family. No one could have done more.

A wonderful place!

Mum was not looking forward to her stay here for 2 weeks for respite care. She has absolutely loved it and she loves the staff, she said it's like a 5* hotel you want for nothing and are spoilt rotten, nothing is too much trouble.

Everyone in the Sid Bailey have been excellent, from the receptionist, who was so welcoming and helpful to every carer that we came into contact with. They not only cared for our relative with respect and the utmost sympathy, and they also looked after all our relatives and us when we visited, offering
drinks and anything we might need. They also kept us informed of our relatives condition.

My step mother has been a resident at Montagu Hall since May 2024. During that time she has been happy and more settled with excellent respectful care given throughout by very dedicated staff. She has liked the food her room, and has joined most of the events put on by the staff and external entertainers.
From late June until her passing on 06/07/2025 the staff have gone 'above and beyond' in the close, attentive and thoughtful care given to my step mother, and also looked after myself, my wife and my niece whilst visiting her in her final days. We are very grateful and would recommend Montagu Hall to everyone!

What a lovely place to live. I love to visit my mum, who seems to be enjoying her stay with you. The place is beautiful and clean the staff are amazing. Great activities every day. My mum is enjoying her food too. The lady on reception is always happy and willing to help and gives plenty of advice.
The Events Assistance Manager is so good with the people who stay there, always making them laugh. I love it.

The reception area, as you walk in, is impressive. Everybody we encountered had a smile. I knew immediately that people enjoy working here. The room my mother will live in is to a high standard. The staff just wanted to help. The visitors' toilet was immaculate enjoyed a cup of tea and relaxed with
everyone.

This is my dad's 3rd respite stay at Montagu Hall. Dad kept telling me that he was very well looked after. The staff are always smiling and interact with the residents. Touches such as a glass of wine with lunch make a massive difference. I feel relaxed knowing my dad is well cared for which is massive
for me as I'm a worrier. Calls are always answered promptly and when I called on one occasion to ask the staff to charge dads mobile it was done promptly. I can't thank staff enough for treating my dad with respect, dignity and as a person not just someone with Dementia.

We took my mother- in -law here for some respite care in June 2025 . She has clearly enjoyed the time she has spent saying she would return any time as the staff have treated her like a family member . Everyone of them have been so kind, friendly and thoroughly cared for her the entire time she stayed.
The meals have been delicious and well presented. Her words were it's felt like being at home . The facilities are like a five star hotel and have been designed well for comfort and an homely feel.We cannot thank the staff and the residents enough for making her feel so welcome.

The experience for my mum is generally and often excellent, however on the occasions when they (staff) are not involved in responding to the needs of residents, when alerted by emergency bell, they should take time to talk to residents, especially those who have just joined the home.
