The food is so varied. He loves the food. There is always a choice of different hot food. Definitely put weight on. His room is really nice. Very spacious and comfortable. We're still able to take him out occasionally. Shirley has taken him outside for some fresh air and Dylan always rings me if there are any issues. He's not always steady on his feet these days. We're reassured with Nurses nearby,Dad is definitely in the best place as his Dementia advances.

The Oaks solved our problems. 1) My dad's complex & progressive dementia needs and 2. My inability to cope with them at home. I am confident that he gets the best possible care, and that the staff can handle his future needs, as his condition worsens. The carers and other staff are kind & attentive. It is also good to know that qualified, experienced nurses are on hand 24/7.

My father moved into the Oaks Feb 26. The care my father received was not outstanding. His basic care needs was not met. Given wrong consistency of food so aspirated twice in their care. He was just left in bed that was too small and his legs were constantly restricted, no bedrails on his bed. Care plan was not always followed. Rude management, rude staff. My father was under nourished and dehydrated. Moved him out of there and just in 3 days in his new care home he is very alert and smiling and he sits out and is now thriving.

Everyone makes us feel welcome, and management keep us updated with information.

Thank you for the dilligent care afforded to my parents (mom and step dad) since they came to you. Having them in a clean, safe new facility means alot. All the staff from the manager to all the service staff are to be commended for their friendly caring approach. As will all things in life, problems do occur but these have been dealt with expeditiously and caringly.

But our fears were laid to rest from meeting firstly the lovely Manageress and Deputy Lianne and Jo, how loving and proud they are of the Home, then from the wonderful Rebecca on reception and Jayne at Admin not forgetting all the wonderful Team Members that were getting to know making so far my Moms stay relaxing and so enjoyable and most of all safe and looking after all her needs.

Excellent staff always great and helpful Rebecca on the front desk is always friendly and helpful and very nice the carers on my wife's wing are top notch and the food is always good and plentiful and I get some when lm lucky

My mom is very settled here and seems happy. The staff are all lovely and 'go the extra mile'. There are many different activities for them to take part in and would definitely recommend to anyone.

I can not express how amazing the staff at The Oaks are. The care that is provided to my dad is exceptional and I am extremely grateful to all of you. You make everyone welcome and I am so releived that my dad is being cared for so well and all of his needs are met. You all go above and beyond and I could not be happier knowing my dad is safe and settled in such a beautiful home with such lovely people. Thank you all.

I really can not put into words how well The Oaks is run, from management level it is evident that the staff are respected and you all work as a team and it is obvious the staff feel appreciated. The care the residents receive is amazing and the staff are genuinly caring, kind and responsive. I can not praise The Oaks enough in all honesty.

My mum moved to The Oaks in May 2025, moving from another care home which couldn't address her dementia needs. From day one The Oaks has been a significant step up for mum in terms of the care that she receives from both nurses and carers. Due to mum's dementia she can be a challenging resident, but the nurses and carers seem to have got her 'sussed' and know how to make her time at The Oaks as good as they can. I would recommend The Oaks to anyone seeking a caring and professional home for their relative.

Dad has settled in very well at The Oaks. The staff are all helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We are able to visit freely and have even had chippy tea nights with Dad and other family members. Overall we are happy that Dad is happy at The Oaks.

It's been very good so far, I know my wife is not easy going.

I can't believe the difference in her since she moved in. She still has her challenges, but she says she couldn't have found a better place to be. She says how kind the staff are, and they treat her like an adult human.

Staff are very attentive, kind and always helpful and responsive in relation to my mother's needs. Nothing is too much for the staff in delivering care; they treat my mom with respect. All interactions demonstrate they understand her needs in accordance with her personal preferences. Mom has expressed many times that she is happy and feels cared for. The management team have been extremely supportive and always available to provide advice and assistance.

Overall, I can honestly say that I wouldn't want my Godmother to be anywhere else; The staff are welcoming, friendly, humorous and attentive with some staff highly commendable.

The patients are encouraged to socialise and to join in the activities, which are generally tailored to dementia patients, (though I have enjoyed a few myself!)

The rooms are spacious and can be made homely with personal items. Furniture can be moved for the residents' safety and personal needs. My only grievance is that the room often smells unpleasant (urine), and I have occasionally had to clean the food tray.

The food is usually of a high standard, with some yummy desserts and often alternatives offered.

When there is a full quota of staff, things run well, but there have been occasions where carers have been delayed due to shortages.

Whenever I have raised an issue, it has been dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.

Inspite of the odd niggles, I would highly recommend The Oaks.

My Dad became a resident of The Oaks in April and from my very first interaction with the staff, I had a wonderful feel for the place. I live overseas so can't visit Dad as often as I'd like, but when I have visited, Dad has been well taken care of, the facility is very clean and modern and the staff are wonderful and caring. Dad is thriving since being a resident at The Oaks, and I believe this is down to their care and attention, and him being fed regular meals with a lot of his favorite foods. The home offers lots of daily activities for residents which I follow on social media, so even though I can't be there often, I do feel connected to what is happening. And, of course, I phone regularly, and the staff are always wonderful and helpful, even running the phone up three flights of stairs so I can chat with Dad.

This care home isn't what it seems my friends mom was a resident here and she was given all her meals in her room instead of encouraging her to the dinner hall, dirty underwear left in her shower by carers, several bruises on different occasions without explanations, dirty bedding which was changed by relatives and then no sheet on the bed, milkshake left for hours and not replaced, a major incident happened where my friends mom was brutally attacked by another resident which led to hospitalisation and she's been terrified covering herself and crying because she's clearly been hurt multiple times and nothing has been documented.
