It was just over 2 weeks care from 4 July to 23 July. Dad was accepted with behavioural issues after Assesment was greeted with dad didn't seem meet criteria for nursing emi bed .b and once behavioural issues dad had were mentioned bed was given at Walton manor. Dads mental health declined in short space of 2 weeks not aggressive just disruptive. Dad had unwitnessed fall and was left on floor for over 4 hours resulting in hospital visit no broken bones etc.which once ready for discharge back to home he was told home were not accepting dad back. There is long list of things happened in short space which we witnessed and addressed with manager and nursing staff also.

My father has been a resident since July 2023. Always received constant care and attention. Recently moved rooms to be on ground floor, nearer office to be kept an eye on, due to him wandering away from his room. Medical updates and phone calls to inform the family always.

The home is very friendly and welcoming. Staff can't do enough. Residents are well looked after, and food is good. Home is always clean and smells nice. Management is lovely. They all made you feel welcome. I couldn't ask for a nicer place.

Been good - everything I ask them to do, they do - can sometimes wait a while.Everyones friendly - would recommend to anyone night staff wonderful.

My. Mum came here in Jan 2026, she was going very with drawn, but since she has been in Simonsfield she has gone back to her old self, made lost of new friends there ,me and my family are so happy and can sleep at night knowing that my mum is getting looked after. The staff are amazing they are the right people in the right job as it takes a special type of person. Activities they are great Suzanne is amazing, am looking at social media and can see my mum enjoying herself, going out for meals dancing getting facials and doing excerisers and arts and crafts,she would never be doing the likes if this, i can't thanks Everyone enough, great place xx

She passed away recently, in her room at the care home. The staff there gave her the most dignified and peaceful end of life care possible. In her last few years at Simonsfield she had the best life she could possibly have. We owe the staff a debt we cannot possibly re-pay. Thank you.

Kindness in life is what we all need. We certainly received it at Hillside.

I thought the care for my brother was excellent and the staff were very considerate and very caring not only for my brother but also for us all as a family visiting. They went out of there way to help us all in any way that my brother and family needed

My Dad has been living at Simonsfield for over 2 years now and would not be here now without the expert care and dedication of the hardworking Staff who all have a great sense of humour.

Simonsfield is amazing, yes it's not perfect but it's very close. My mum is thriving. The activities they do are brilliant, theatre visits, meals out, going the pub, exercises, games, entertainment, the list honestly goes on. I cannot recommend this home enough. My mum is safe, looked after, well fed and all her medical needs are met. The staff are lovely, always gave a smile and are so caring with the residents. I love this place x

My mum has been in Walton Manor for 5 years in March 25. She is looked after brilliantly by all the excellent staff. The care home is always clean and today. A good choice of meals which the chef will ask all residents what they prefer. Staff consistently organising events and medical staff act promptly when required. The administrator is always happy to help as is also the caretaker. All in all, a fantastic team.

It was a big decision having to move Dad into residential care but probably one of the best we have made as a family.

I cannot give any negative feedback with regard to my experience at Hillside Care Home. This applies to day of administration through to day of discharge. The level of care received was impeccable. On arrival I was very anxious and depressed but the care and compassion I was treated with quickly put me at ease. Which in turn gave me the confidence to do what was needed to help with my rehab.

At first it was quite a shock, but I soon got over that. The staff were very helpful and kind and made it very pleasant. I just want to say thank you to you all for your kindness at this time.

Home is very caring, loving and extremely helpful, must mention staff are amazing.

I visited my relative on 14th of January 2025; I was shocked at the fact that the room wreaked of urine. My relative had a thin sheet covering his face, he was cold, deeply depressed, lonely, felt humiliated by comments made by certain members of staff, the smart tv was impossible to access as he has severe sight loss. The room is bland and very gloomy, no visual or sensory stimulation. Social care is very limited. Physiotherapy? Occupational therapy? I saw no evidence.

Immaculate care, excellent staff.

Hillside Care Home staff are amazing, they have continuously provided a high level of care for my mum and allow her to have dignity despite her condition. We know our mum is safe and feels secure. All members of staff are always approachable and have made the time to get to know my mum which means a lot to us. Thank you.
