Highlands Borders Care Home

My mother was at Highlands Borders for 7 years and although she had dementia, always said that the carers were lovely. I could see that for myself. She was beautifully looked after. The home always seemed a happy place. The staff were attentive to her needs and always kept me updated. They acted with
professionalism and compassion, always treating her with the greatest respect. I felt so lucky to have peace of mind and the care she received in her final days was exemplary.

My Mum was asked to leave the care home by management because I made a complaint to safeguarding regarding bad falls not being informed and them not knowing how it happened. Residents are left to soil in a bed when they don't have their two main carers to take them to the toilet.
Nails not being clean
and cut to the point it causes a fungal infection. Same evening meal every day with no choice. Staff cannot fault but cannot say the same for management. This care home should be investigated so it does not keep happening.
