My brother and I chose Ralphland Care Home for mum after an initial visit. The friendly staff and homely atmosphere "sold it to us". This was well before mum required 24 hour care, but once it was evident that mum could not remain safely at home, Ralphland was our 1st choice. Fortunately they had space,
and mum has settled really well and is very happy. Care has been first class and mums needs which have developed are catered for by caring, friendly staff, at all levels. Thank you x

For one of the hardest periods of my life the staff were supportive and kind. They reassured me, made me feel that mum was ok.
Its lovely to see how many activities they organise for the residents.
I am truly grateful and appreciate you all. Just one development would be having somewhere to with
with mum now that the music room has changed. Its hard to pop in for a visit as mum isn't her room.

My husband went into Ralphland Care Home for one week respite care at the end of October 2025. He immediately felt at home there. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was good. He was very happy there and very well cared for.

My Dad has been a resident of Ralphlands Care Home since the 1st June 2025, and from Day One, all of the staff have been fantastic, always very kind and caring, and nothing is too much trouble for the well being of our Dad.
Dad settled in straight away, and although he can be challenging & stubborn
at times, the staff are always positive, and it is a pleasure going in to visit him and chatting to everyone at the same time. Please keep up the amazing work.

My brother appears happy in his environment and all the staff relate to him very well and I am very grateful to all the kind staff members that take care of him during this very difficult time ......especially since I am so far away.

My mother was a resident for just over 2 1/2 years. She received excellent care throughout her stay. The home is very tidy & clean. The carers are always friendly and willing to assist with every need. I highly recommend Ralphland Carehome to anyone who has a relation / friend who requires care. Thank
you to all who also supported me when my Mum sadly passed away on 11th August 2025. RIP

The team here are amazing!!
They go over and above to ensure my Dad is engaging with the world and having the small things we all take for granted, like a coffee, McDonald's, even a visit to the pub for a pint.
They are fantastic with understanding his mental capacity, ensuring he is happy, well-fed
fed and safe. Couldn't ask any more from any of you. All we can say is thank you!!!

The care given to my Mum during her stay of almost 10 months was excellent. The staff are very caring and lovely and did their best to always make Mum happy. They were also lovely and friendly to us and we got to know them quite well as we visited every day. The management team was friendly, helpful,
and responsive to Mum's needs and was quick to inform us of any medical issues or concerns. They cared for Mum with love and dignity in her final days.

My mother entered the home 4th Sept 2023. In the time that my mother was there my wife and I visited on average three to four times per week. My observation in that time, was that I found everyone, manager, deputy manager, nurses, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners, entertainment person, polite, caring,
attentive and very professional.
I couldn't fault their commitment and attitude towards the job in hand. My mother was treated with dignity and respect, for which we are eternally grateful for.

Your facility made a stressful time so much easier for all of us. We will be forever grateful for the love and care you showed my husband, our dad and my grandad.
He still talks often and friendly of you all which means the world to us. You made us all feel welcome and part of the bigger family. And
you did it all with the biggest smiles ever. You should all be very proud of yourselves. Words cannot express how thankful we found such an ideal facility for respite care, and when the time comes for full-time care we won't hesitate to ask you to be that lifeline. Thank you again.

It was a heartbreaking time when my husband had to go into a home.
But he is being looked after by the most happy, caring people I have ever met. There is always friendly, smiling faces when I visit.
It's now our extended family.
A big thank you to every one of the staff.

I cannot recommend this care home enough. The staff go above and beyond, the care and safety of the residents are a priority which puts us at ease knowing our loved one is being looked after to a high standard! The manager is fantastic. All the staff are so pleasant and welcoming. Nothing is ever too
much, the staff have always got a smile on their faces and are so friendly. You wouldn’t find a better care home for your loved one. 5 Stars.

Our mum was in the home for approximately four years, and during this time, our mum was very happy and loved the staff.
We had minor gripes and luckily nothing major. Sadly Mum passed away in January, Mum passed suddenly and from receiving the call to leaving the home, it was handled with such care,
love and dignity. It was so traumatic for us but made easier by how it was handled and dealt with. I cannot thank the home enough for this; we had privacy and were all able to stay with Mum till she left the home. The management and staff were truly amazing. For that, we are eternally grateful.

My mother has lived at Ralphland since September 2017. She has always been treated with great respect, kindness and lots of love. Her room and shower room are always very clean and her personal care needs are well looked after. If she is unwell or the staff have noticed a change in her appearance or
manner medical services are called upon to investigate and I am informed and kept up to date.
Her dietary needs are well catered for and she is kept well hydrated with a jug of juice in her room, which is refreshed twice a day and plenty of tea.
She continues to thrive at Ralphland as she can join in activities in the lounge or retire to her room if she wants some private time. If she is in her room the staff check on her regularly and the emergency call system has been replaced in the last two years.

My father has been in Ralphlands since January 2023. He came for respite after a month in the hospital, unfortunately, he was unable to care for himself sufficiently to be able to go home
The staff at Ralphland have given him excellent care throughout and were very patient and caring as Dad found
it quite difficult to settle in his new place, to begin with.
All the staff are very friendly, caring and approachable and the manager always makes herself available if I need to discuss anything about Dad's care.
My dad enjoys being there now and has enjoyed the activities that the new activities co-coordinator has been doing.
I'm very pleased with the care he is receiving.

The resident said that it was the best Christmas she had ever had. She loved it in Glyn Thomas House and she is so happy. She has started to communicate again after living on her own for 14 years when her mother died.
The manager and staff are excellent.

Our sister has been a resident of Glyn Thomas House for about three/four months. She is usually settled within herself but has sometimes looked a bit dishevelled. The last couple of visits last week and today (24/10/23) she looked absolutely lovely. Whoever has been helping her get dressed in the morning
has taken that extra time to ensure she looks so nice, her clothes have been colour coordinated and her hair done beautifully, personal care at its best. Thank you.

I am always quick to complain, my mother's quality of life is the most important thing in mine. But it's only fair to give praise where praise is due.
My mother was recently assessed by Social Services for reasons of capacity. The assessor later told me how uplifting and positive an experience it
was. She was happy to see Glyn Thomas House making a positive effort to improve the lives of the residents. My mother is always enthused about the staff (kind and caring) and how happy she is there. They have employed someone to carry out activities with the residents and this makes such a difference.

Mum has been at Ralphland Care Home since February 2022 when she left hospital after having a hip replacement. Mum suffers with vascular dementia and is incapable of taking care of herself.
The warmth, kindness, care and professionalism shown to Mum has been nothing but first class throughout, even
during the early stages when she struggled to accept her new surroundings.
Now mum doesn't want to be anywhere else and keeps telling me all her friends should be here too because it is so good!
She celebrated her 95 birthday this month and received cards from the team as well as a beautiful birthday cake. She had the biggest grin on her face and I am so grateful to the Ralphland team because I know they give her all the care she needs and more.
