Brooklands nursing home is a nice place some staff are bullying visitors and harassing patients but aside from that it's great and they won't let you make a written complaint if you try the social services barring you but it's a great place.
My sister was in Parkdean Nursing home in Fort William Park. Belfast for 2 weeks respite, and the care she received was excellent. She was content and I had the greatest peace of mind. Every member of staff was dedicated to every resident and I commend the manager and her team for their unwavering care - such a difference from a previous uncaring experience!! Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Parkdean!!
we came back to england knowing that my brother is in safe and professional hands.
My mum was very well cared for by all staff in the dementia nursing unit. In my mum's final days the staff showed great professionalism, kindness and compassion to my mum, my sister and myself. The nurse manager and her staff are a credit to the Conway group.
This is an excellent care home, run and staffed by caring professionals. A cheery, friendly atmosphere, despite the awkward times we have been going through with the pandemic. I could not ask for a better final home for my mother's care. Especially through the final weeks of her life. The staff and manager go above and beyond their roles, to provide a happy and caring environment and were always welcoming.
A really great team ably guided by the manager. My Uncle received the most thoughtful care from a team of kind nurses and carers. Their devotion to him left me in no doubt that he was in a very clean, warm and loving environment. Thank you to all.
My darling father spent his last three weeks of life in The Cottage. We as family, cannot thank the nurse manager and the staff enough for the care and love that they showed to him. Dad was admitted in very poor health, during his time in The Cottage he was treated with dignity and respect.
Kind Regards
It is such a relief to know that my Mother is being looked after so well.
My father was a recent resident of Brooklands Edenballymore in Derry, where he passed away on 22nd February 2019. He had been in hospital and various other facilities with a range of health issues for 14 months. He spent his final month in Brooklands Edenballymore and from the moment he entered the doors, he was treated with the utmost care and dignity. As a family, Brooklands Edenballymore really restored our faith in the care system. The staff are incredible people who go beyond the call of duty to provide the highest standards of care I have ever witnessed. I cannot praise them enough and would recommend this home (and it really is like home!) to anyone considering care. Thank you for your care and compassion Brooklands Edenballymore!
I was on a short holiday back to Belfast and this was my first visit to Brooklands Healthcare. I live in the south of England and work in the domiciliary care sector, so have some knowledge of what good care provision should be. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were extremely helpful as I wasn't sure where to go. My husband's aunt was in a really positive, happy mood. Her room (she referred to it as her little flat!) was spacious and clean and very "homely". She very proudly showed me around and was particularly proud of her ensuite bathroom. Although the staff were busy carrying out their duties they thoughtfully stopped and took the time to make sure another service user who was a little anxious, was reassured. I would certainly recommend Brooklands. The staff were professional, caring, calm and very patient - just the attributes I would look for when employing staff for our small care company.
My dad was a resident here for about eight weeks and during that time he received exemplary care and respect from all staff. The medical and pastoral care were both excellent. I can’t thank the staff enough for their sensitivity to both dad and the whole family. We will be forever grateful.
Unfortunately mum passed away at the end of June, all her family were with her during her last hours. I can not praise the staff enough in all aspects of their care towards both mum and the family.
Mum has been in the care home for two years. Since going there she was in very poor health. With good medical and staff support, she is still with us at 99. The beds, clothes, and facilities are always clean. The home smells fresh, no urine smells when entering. They encourage residents to be up washed and dressed. They have a nice day room with a separate dining room where they are treated with dignity.
Manager, nurses and all staff are approachable and if it is within their power they will fix any problems relatives may have. The activity manager works hard at everything, from running entertainment, games, singing, exercises and raising funding days. We like it. Hope if you ever need the facilities. I would certainly recommend it.
She was very frail after the move from hospital however from the moment she arrived at Brooklands on 18th April 2018, the caring staff were around her comforting and reassuring her in her new home.
The level of compassionate caring continued throughout her stay approx of 16 days and it was clear that the high level of nursing care was demonstrated throughout the home to all residents.
I wholeheartedly recommend Brooklands care Home and thank them for the excellent care provided.
