Professional Heartfelt Care for a loved one.
The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely caring, always treating residents with dignity and respect.
The home itself is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for residents and visitors alike. Communication with families is excellent, and the team always goes above and beyond to ensure residents are safe, happy, and well cared for.
I love the fact that the environment is Culturally diverse, accommodating the needs of the residents in regards to dietary choices, and recognizing certain Faith Festivals and Celebrations throughout the year which all the residents enjoy,as they have a lot of fun with many dancing and singing.
It is reassuring to know that the residents receive not only high-quality medical and personal care, but also emotional support and companionship.

Thank you to all the staff for the dedication and hard work you show every day.

Fieldside Care Home looked after my dad who had vascular dementia and sadly passed away in October 2022. Throughout his stay, he was extremely well looked after, always clean and well groomed. As a family, we cannot thank the staff at the home enough for all their help, support and care not only for dad but also for our mum too. We were always made very welcome by the care staff and kept updated on how dad was doing. The staff are genuine, kind and thoughtful and make all the residents stay as comfortable and homely as possible. Thank you.

A very welcoming care home. There were lovely facilities outside to enable a meeting to take place with my friend. The staff there were friendly and accommodating and brought us coffee and biscuits.

Mum was admitted to Fieldside in April 2020, direct from hospital having recovered from covid and suffering from dementia. She was very well looked after, and during an incredibly hard time for everybody, the manager and staff did their best to reassure me that she was fine and really helped her to settle quickly. It is difficult to answer the questions below because it was during covid, so the usual activities were unavailable, and I could not go inside but despite this, they got to know her and encouraged her to do the things she enjoyed doing despite everything. The staff are caring and upbeat, and always ready to help both mum and myself and organised safe garden visits as soon as they could, which really helped too.

My mother moved here a year ago and what I love the most about Fieldside is how responsive they are to resolve any problems and they would do whatever needs to be done to keep my mother clean, safe and happy. The best thing that happened to us since my mother got dementia is finding Fieldside.

I am generally satisfied with the care which is provided to my husband.
However, I do believe that washing and bathing needs to happen more often. I often see my husband with dirty hair.
He is also sometimes dressed in someone else's clothes which is NOT acceptable.
Staff are often seen on their mobile phones.

But generally, he is well taken care of.

My uncle has been in Fieldside care home for many years now and I always admire the way that this home looks after the residents and my uncle. They all pay attention to their needs. The management is very good and they pay attention to the fullest. I cannot expect any better.

The management are all very helpful and supportive. The carers take care of my nan and are very keen to fill me in on how my nan has been. She has a structured day and the home arrange activities to keep herself and other residents stimulated.

Overall Experience
My mother, who suffered from dementia, received wonderful care during her stay at Fieldside from the day she arrived until her death almost 3 years later. The home was extremely well managed but also very homely and welcoming. Staff are caring, compassionate and very professional. My mother’s needs changed considerably during her stay and the staff were always responsive and knowledgeable about the requirements of people with dementia. They really understood her, comforting her when she was anxious, facilitating her interests. There were trips to parks and shops, music, dancing, exercise sessions, parties for families and reminiscence sessions and providing all the comfort, care, understanding and affection that could be hoped for, as her health declined.

Staff were friendly approachable and always able to answer all questions about my mother’s health, mood and activities. I also felt very supported by the staff and can only wish that all care homes were as good as Fieldside!

What can I say? Amazing Staff, well run, really looked after my father who sadly died in December 2015. He had dementia and was placed here after the death of my mother, confused and grieving the staff really comforted him and reassured him constantly. The food was something my father always looked forward to very much. He had a lovely room at the front over looking the playing fields with a comfortable single bed.

The staff encouraged us to make his room homely. My father was always clean, hair cut and clean shaven. I felt extremely welcome and could visit any time unannounced to visit him, although my father passed away in December I continue to return to the care home weekly visiting other residents and staff, that's how welcoming they make you feel!
