Based in Stepney Green, East London, Westport plays an active part of the local community. The beautiful 41-bed home provides respite care and long-term care for people who require residential, residential dementia and end of life care.

The dedicated team, many of whom live locally, work in partnership with each person who lives at the home, and their loved ones, to encourage residents to keep active and plan their own daily routines; making their own choices and supporting people to remain as independent as possible. The home is a place of freedom and respect, where people are supported to have a life well lived, each and every day.

Known for the home-from-home environment, high quality care and a fun and friendly atmosphere, Westport has been rated 'GOOD' by CQC (April 2022). Excellent care and compassion in every respect, very dedicated staff who became like family members. I think my mother was very happy in the 12 years she was a resident here.

Our great-aunt has been a resident at Westport Care Home for the last 12 years. We have always experienced excellent care and compassion from the staff. It is a beautiful and friendly place to visit. Our great-aunt would not have lived to the great old age of 98 without the care and support of Westport.

My great-aunt was at Westport Care Home for 12 wonderful years. It was so comforting to know how well she was looked after. The proof of that was that she lived until she was 98. I don't think she would have lived that long if it wasn't at this home. The staff have always been so helpful, friendly and

Staff very helpful and caring. They made an effort to respond to my dad's particular needs and treated him with respect and dignity. Very grateful as this was our first experience of a care home and we did not know what to expect.

I like the staff, they are always friendly and make sure my grandfather gets the care he needs. I will definitely recommend it to other friends and family. The management is always caring and ensures that all visitors are well-settled when visiting.

After looking for care for my friend, I would suggest Westport Care Home is a good place to send our near ones for care. They are treated like a family and look after their basic needs. Very friendly staff works there, especially the manager makes you feel welcome, am very impressed. I would recommend to my friends, it’s a great atmosphere. Westport staff are really compassionate in what they do and kind. I was glad about my visit to this care home. I was offered tea/coffee and they greeted me with a smile. My friend was looked after very well and seemed to be happy.

The staff at Westport Care Home are warm and compassionate and provide a very soothing and safe environment for my aunt. It is clean and bright. I don’t have any concerns for her when I leave. It would be nice to see books, magazines and papers on every table that residents can just flick through when

I was welcomed to the party and offered nicely cooked barbequed food, salads and drinks. My brother looked well-groomed and happy. I left after this but the party continued with music and singing.

Rajiv

Rajiv Mungur

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2023

Originally from Mauritius, Rajiv came to the UK and did a Diploma in Hospitality Management and Guest Relationships in 2004. I joined Excel Care as a Unit Manager in 2015 and managed one whole floor which consisted of people living with Dementia. Rajiv was well-positioned to meet the challenging needs of people living with Dementia and built empathetic relationships with the patients. In 2019, Rajiv was promoted to Support Operation Manager for the same company which required a high level of delegation and people management. In June 2023 I was promoted to be a home manager for Westport Care Home.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

Lekshmi was a nurse in a native place in Kerala India. Lekshmi came to the UK in 2008 and completed her NVQ level 4 in Health and Social care. Lekshmi started her career with Excel Care Holdings in 2008. First, I worked as a team leader and progressed to senior, and now, I am a deputy.
