Ir was a really hard decision to put mum into a care home but Burrows House turned out to be an excellent choice. The staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate and mum settled in quickly. Throughout the pandemic, they have kept the residents safe and well cared for allowing window visits when they can. Mum always appears happy and settled there.

Reply from Sym Jaj, Senior Marketing Executive at Burrows House

Thank you for your lovely review. Making the decision to move a loved one into a home is an incredibly tough decision to make and we always aim to be as supportive as possible throughout. It's wonderful to hear that you are pleased with the quality of care that your mum has been receiving. Wishing you and your mum well. Stay safe.

We were very nervous when Mum needed to move into care. From the moment we stepped through the door we were treated to a wonderful welcome, shown around the whole home, met the staff and residents, even the chef popped out to say hello. We cannot praise the care and respect our Mum received enough. They treated her like family and the care she received was above and beyond anything we could have wished for. Thank you.

My mother has been in Burrows House since July. Because of the Covid-19 situation, we have only been able to visit her through the window. The staff have made this a nicer experience by giving us chairs and giving mum a nice comfy chair by the window and supplying tea and biscuits. The staff are friendly and extremely caring and mum is clean and well-groomed. We feel that mum is in safe hands and is being well looked after which gives us peace of mind.

Many thanks to the staff who cared for my mother, for their professionalism, patience, kindness and understanding. A very welcoming and friendly place and very deserving of its gold standard. Under their care, my mother was the best she'd been for years - both appearance and happiness.

After an initial emergency placement, where my father settled in quickly, I had no hesitation to continue his care in Burrows House when his needs have become permanent. On visits, staff are always friendly and welcoming and most importantly my father feels at home, he is comfortable and safe.
He recently enjoyed an 86th birthday and the care home was happy to agree to host a celebration party. For the first time in many years, we could see him enjoying himself, singing along to songs from a bygone era, smiling and laughing. The other attendees also seemed at ease and were enjoying the occasion.

I am happy that he is making Burrows House his home.

Reply from Melissa Lawerence, Marketing Coordintaor at Burrows House

Incredible, it means the world to us that our residents feel at home, as we do stress - this is their home, not a hotel but a place they can 'be themselves', continue their hobbies, and design their environment. We're glad he's able to enjoy his time with us. You're review is much appreciated.

I visit my Aunt on average three to four times a year and I always notify the staff at Burrows House of my forthcoming visit. Each time I visit I am constantly impressed by the care and kindness towards my Aunt by the staff, all staff. Her physical care is excellent. She is well presented. She is treated with dignity. The staff understand her needs and appear to know her well. Her room is cosy and clean.

Quite happy with care but clothes are mixed up, even though marked. Also, things go by other patients which can't be helped I should think.

Thank you.

My mum was a resident in this care home for nearly six years until she recently passed away. In all that time I found the staff to be very caring and helpful for all my mum's needs. My mum still attended her church services and the home always had her ready to be picked up. I could not have asked for a better team of people when I was struggling myself with mum. It's very clean and tidy, you're always made to feel welcome. The food looked lovely. Well done.

Our family member has only been a resident for just over 8 weeks. During this time we have found the care received has been very good. Personal care clean and the family member is happy. The bedroom, toilets and communal areas are kept very clean. Domestic staff are first class.

There always seems to be drinks available for residents and what food we have seen looks very nice. As a family, we have found the care staff very friendly and caring. When we visit staff are always welcoming.
