My dad has been here since October 2018. He came in on respite care and stayed permanently. The staff here are caring, respectful and clearly happy in their work. They have built an excellent relationship with both my dad and us as a family. My dad is now receiving end of life care and we could not have asked for more for them with regards to Dad's care and their compassion towards us. Management, carers, cleaners and all staff are wonderful.

I visit my husband quite often, most times accompanied by one of our children and the care home is always welcoming. The staff are very pleasant and kind and my husband is very well cared for.

I'm confident he is safe and well looked after.

Today we had a Mother's day lunch. First time since mum has been here (Jan 2014) It was very nice, room/tables laid out very well. Menu and drinks very good. Excellent idea for residents who are unable to go out.

Services since the housekeeper/service managers arrival have much improved. Today was a good example of initiatives she has included.

My mother was a resident of this care home for 5 1/2 years. I think that says it all but would like to say a thank you to all staff that looked after my mum. Unfortunately, I lost my mum in March after a long and hard battle with dementia.

My father has been a resident for 2 years at Northbourne Court at Sidcup within a dementia ward. During his stay, he has been supported and cared for to a very high standard.

As a family, we are consulted and informed of any events and changes in regards to my father and we all feel reassured that he is in good hands. The staff within the Chaucer ward are very kind, professional and incredibly;ly compassionate.

Very good.

If mum could be encouraged to take part in activities it would help to keep her mind active.

A celebration of Mother's Day - Sunday 31st March 2019. My wife, brother and I had a wonderful day yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day in the Piazza, Northbourne Court Sidcup. They had laid out the tables beautifully. The entertainer provided brilliant music before lunch for all the residents and some even got up and danced. The food was excellent. In all, we had a good time thanks to the hotel services manager, the activity coordinators, and the cafe bar assistant. Also the receptionist, who was on duty - what a wonderful team!

Northbourne Court organised a lunch to celebrate Mother's Day. I ate with my friend, a most enjoyable meal. The dining area looked pretty with pink napkins, each table was decorated with beautiful little teacups and saucer containing fresh flowers. The meal included wine and liqueurs. It was such a lovely idea to eat together on this special day. Once again, Northbourne has shown what a thoughtful and caring place this is. I congratulate the staff for producing an excellent meal.

Mum did not settle on arrival and was very agitated. The staff were very good and settled her, after telling us to wait in the Piazza. She is now happy here and eating and drinking well and joining in with activities.

My nan has been here for 2 years and it is the best thing my mum has done for her. Northbourne Court is a lovely place always clean and the staff are so nice and friendly. My son has been going up there since he was a week old he is now one and a half and we go there every Wednesday to see nan. He knows all the staff and it makes the residents day. The person who does the entertainment arranges everything from singers and animals which is great he puts a lot of work into this and everyone has a great time. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Very clean residence with extremely nice and helpful staff, who work in a very difficult and I imagine a stressful environment. Mum is well cared for and I do not think that I could have found a better care home. The rooms, although small, are kept clean and Mum appears to be benefitting through being here. As discussed with the staff, the security of her room needs to be improved, as other residents do wander in.

The care staff were dedicated, especially in 2018/19.
At this current time, the caring team and managers are probably the best I have seen since my mother entered the home in April 2014. When there had been problems in the past, they have been resolved well.

My mother died on 18/01/19 and for the previous week, my sister and I were at the home most of the time. The carers and team leaders were fantastic to us. The support we received was way beyond anything we ever expected. They made a traumatic experience more bearable. The assistant general manager was also great.

The care given by this home is excellent.
The staff are very caring and friendly and the management should be so proud of the whole team from the kitchen staff, receptionists, cleaners, carers through to the activities team and cafe staff.

The activities and entertainment provided are varied, fun and memorable and residents are always encouraged to join in. For those unable to leave their rooms the activities are brought to them.

I cannot praise this home more highly.

Thank you to everyone.

My mother was a resident at Northbourne Court from April 2014 until January 2019 when she passed away. Most carers were wonderful, they treated her with respect and the standard of care was excellent. They called my mum grandma and treated her as if she was their own grandma. They were so kind and loving towards her. Her end of life care was so wonderful and the support towards the family was so outstanding. All carers and management involved in the end of life care were amazing.
