Sweetcroft Care Home is a boutique care home set in the heart of Hillingdon and Uxbridge and offers dementia care, residential care, respite and day care.

Leaving home can be a challenging time, so to ensure the smoothest transition, Sweetcroft Care Home boasts an authentic ‘home from home’ experience to help new residents settle. Offering care for only a maximum of 21, the select group of residents can comfortably interact and form new bonds.

The bedroom suites are designed to give residents luxury, privacy and independence. All rooms are spacious, comfortable and equipped with beautiful oak furniture and the majority of the bedrooms have an en-suite. All bedrooms and en-suites have a nurse call point system which offers residents rapid access to a carer 24 hours a day.

There are two separate lounges in which to socialise and enjoy the company of fellow residents. One of which is a quiet lounge, so there is plenty of opportunity for private moments by yourself or with your loved ones too.

At Sweetcroft, they recognise the importance of activities and invest a lot of time in making sure you're loved ones enjoy every day. With dedicated activities co-ordinators, there is a full programme of events on a daily basis, many of which actively encourage participation from family, friends and the local community.

In beautiful surroundings, with a team of carers who are passionate about what they do each day and by aiming for excellence in every area, the care home makes the experience of living in a care home a fantastic life experience, as well as the best place to receive exceptional care.

Sweetcroft has provided excellent care for my mother since she arrived here. The staff are pleasant, enthusiastic and caring. Being a small care home, it provides a more domestic, less institutional atmosphere than other care homes we inspected. Management has adequate overviews and focuses on the operation,
contributing greatly to the overall performance.

Wonderful in every way. Having to put a loved one in a care home is tough, but Sweetcroft supported my family through the transition and settled my father in the loveliest way. The staff are truly amazing, kind, caring, fun and welcoming. My family feel blessed to have found this gem of a place. As
the residents themselves say, it is not a care home, it is a five-star hotel they are lucky enough to live in.
Reply from Jennifer Somauroo, Director at Sweetcroft Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful review. I will pass on your lovely comments to our team, who will be over the moon. Caring is a job done because of a passion to care and look after people, and the staff are always overwhelmed when their hard work and commitment are recognised. Thank you once again for taking the time to write this.

I'm really impressed with Sweetcroft Care Home for the care and support given to my mother since she came into the home. She is in a lovely room, overlooking the garden with her own ensuite facilities. The activities that are offered to the residents are excellent. In all the time I have been visiting
Mum, I'm very appreciative of their caring nature to all the residents from all of the staff - they are so cheerful and friendly to us visitors and in such lovely surroundings throughout the home. Mum was impressed with the food from the first week of her stay, and I've never heard her complain since.
Reply from Jennifer Somauroo, Director at Sweetcroft Care HomeThank you so much for such an incredible review. We are delighted with how mum has settled in. She is truly part of the Sweetcroft family. Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough and glowing review. I will be sure to pass on your comments to all of the staff.

It was a worrying time trying to find a suitable setting for my uncle. We were so glad to have found Sweetcroft and its lovely residents and caring staff. What a relief! I speak with my uncle daily, and he has nothing but praise for the staff, the food and the atmosphere. It is truly a home from home.
How care homes should be. Extremely thankful to have found the manager and his team.

Sweetcroft is a very special care home and largely because the staff are remarkable: they are highly professional, very caring and patient beyond measure. My mum and now my dad have resided in Sweetcroft for almost two years. Over this period, I have been impressed with the way in which the Sweetcroft
team help to ensure good communication between the residents and their families. The facilities are clean, cheerful and bright.
Reply from Jennifer Somauroo, Director at Sweetcroft Care HomeThank you for your glowing review. Our staff are exemplary and truly find their caring roles a calling, so it is amazing for their hard word to be acknowledged by relatives and residents. They will be delighted by your kind words and I will be sure to pass them onto the entire team. Many thanks

I came to Sweetcroft after a spell in hospital. The caring and kind staff helped me regain my strength - to rest when I wanted to, encouragement to walk - albeit slowly. I feel I am amongst kind and friendly staff. I am very content. I have no complaints.

My mum has been at Sweetcroft for two months. She arrived following a lengthy and traumatic stay in hospital. She arrived bedbound and very weak and unwell. Two months on, she is now thriving, putting on weight and walking again. She is always extremely complimentary and happy with the care she receives.
We visit her regularly and are made to feel most welcome by the staff. From our experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending Sweetcrofy.

Excellent care home with incredible facilities. We couldn’t be happier with the care our grandmother is getting. She’s come out of her shell, eating more and generally thriving. The activities are out of this world. Food is wonderful, with a great variety. All staff are warm and kind and take a great
deal of care with the residents, which is wonderful to see.

I moved to this home in January this year (2021) following a fall at home. I was unable to walk when I came here, but the staff were excellent and helped me with exercises every day, and now I am walking unassisted. I love all the staff; they are all so kind and patient. My room is large and very nice
and expensively decorated. The food is very nice and tasty. I am very happy here and feel secure.

My dad is very, very happy. He settled far better than we expected. We looked at many, many homes before selecting this one, and this is far superior to any others. Activities are wonderful and still much cheaper than alternative care homes we looked at that offer far less. He has a better quality of
life now than he ever had.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.958)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.958) out of 10 for Sweetcroft Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.958 for Sweetcroft Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (322 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 336 Ratings = 4.958
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Sweetcroft Care Home is based on 28 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 21 registered maximum number of service users is 4.2, which has been reached with 28 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
