Sweetcroft Care Home

My mother has only been in the care home for a month. She is settling in and is already looking much better and gaining weight. She is getting wonderful care from all the efficient staff. They treat her with kindness and dignity. The activities she takes part in daily are beyond amazing. Thank you, everyone.

Sweetcroft has provided excellent care for my mother since she arrived here. The staff are pleasant, enthusiastic and caring. Being a small care home, it provides a more domestic, less institutional atmosphere than other care homes we inspected. Management has adequate overviews and focuses on the operation, contributing greatly to the overall performance.

My mum found the care home extremely welcoming, and the carers were exceptional in their support. She loves most of the activities.

Wonderful in every way. Having to put a loved one in a care home is tough, but Sweetcroft supported my family through the transition and settled my father in the loveliest way. The staff are truly amazing, kind, caring, fun and welcoming. My family feel blessed to have found this gem of a place. As the residents themselves say, it is not a care home, it is a five-star hotel they are lucky enough to live in.

I'm really impressed with Sweetcroft Care Home for the care and support given to my mother since she came into the home. She is in a lovely room, overlooking the garden with her own ensuite facilities. The activities that are offered to the residents are excellent. In all the time I have been visiting Mum, I'm very appreciative of their caring nature to all the residents from all of the staff - they are so cheerful and friendly to us visitors and in such lovely surroundings throughout the home. Mum was impressed with the food from the first week of her stay, and I've never heard her complain since.

It was a worrying time trying to find a suitable setting for my uncle. We were so glad to have found Sweetcroft and its lovely residents and caring staff. What a relief! I speak with my uncle daily, and he has nothing but praise for the staff, the food and the atmosphere. It is truly a home from home. How care homes should be. Extremely thankful to have found the manager and his team.

All the staff seem very friendly and welcoming. The residents seem to be happy and enjoying their activities and music. The premises are always clean and tidy.

Sweetcroft is a very special care home and largely because the staff are remarkable: they are highly professional, very caring and patient beyond measure. My mum and now my dad have resided in Sweetcroft for almost two years. Over this period, I have been impressed with the way in which the Sweetcroft team help to ensure good communication between the residents and their families. The facilities are clean, cheerful and bright.

I came to Sweetcroft after a spell in hospital. The caring and kind staff helped me regain my strength - to rest when I wanted to, encouragement to walk - albeit slowly. I feel I am amongst kind and friendly staff. I am very content. I have no complaints.

My mum has been at Sweetcroft for two months. She arrived following a lengthy and traumatic stay in hospital. She arrived bedbound and very weak and unwell. Two months on, she is now thriving, putting on weight and walking again. She is always extremely complimentary and happy with the care she receives. We visit her regularly and are made to feel most welcome by the staff. From our experience, I would have no hesitation in recommending Sweetcrofy.

Excellent care home with incredible facilities. We couldn’t be happier with the care our grandmother is getting. She’s come out of her shell, eating more and generally thriving. The activities are out of this world. Food is wonderful, with a great variety. All staff are warm and kind and take a great deal of care with the residents, which is wonderful to see.

A welcoming environment. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are on the go all the time ensuring everyone is happy.

My family are so happy with Sweetcroft. The care and attention that they give our mother are outstanding, eg, activities and welfare. She enjoys the exercise sessions (her favourite). We couldn't be happier.

I moved to this home in January this year (2021) following a fall at home. I was unable to walk when I came here, but the staff were excellent and helped me with exercises every day, and now I am walking unassisted. I love all the staff; they are all so kind and patient. My room is large and very nice and expensively decorated. The food is very nice and tasty. I am very happy here and feel secure.

My dad is very, very happy. He settled far better than we expected. We looked at many, many homes before selecting this one, and this is far superior to any others. Activities are wonderful and still much cheaper than alternative care homes we looked at that offer far less. He has a better quality of life now than he ever had.

I am very happy here. Food is very good. Activities are plentiful and wide-range. Always something to do and watch what's going on. Bedroom is nice, bright, good quality furniture and very clean. I have many friends here.
