Welcome to Warren Lodge Care Centre in Wokingham, Berkshire. Set amid the stunning Royal Berkshire countryside, the recently renovated home offers 24-hour care for those over the age of 65, and the team particularly cater for those living with Dementia. The home is blessed with a long-serving team that provides high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. They offer long-term, palliative, respite and post-operative care.

Warren Lodge comprises 51 bedrooms which are all equipped with an en-suite. The bedrooms, which boast views of the Berkshire countryside, provide a tranquil area to rest and relax. Residents are encouraged to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. The bright and attractive communal day rooms offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.

At Warren Lodge, residents are encouraged to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of these activities take place within the home environment and include garden parties, barbecues, arts/crafts and quiz nights. The team empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available.

My mother had the pleasure of staying at Warren Lodge for the last 6 months of her life. As soon as you come in the front door you can feel the love. The place is spotless and everyone you meet are also very clean. The staff are amazing and so loving and caring. I cannot praise Warren Lodge enough.
If I ever need care in my later years I hope I can stay in a home such as this. My mother had severe dementia. Her stay here made the family's lives so much easier and the care and love shown made it easier for us to know she was in such loving and capable hands.

My 95 year old mother has been at Warren Lodge since the end of June after 3 previous respite stays. She's very happy with the care she receives here as the staff are all so kind and caring. She has already made a couple of friends and regularly joins them for a tea and natter. She also joins in with
some of the varied activities despite being in a wheelchair. I visit regularly and take her into the lovely garden where she can sit under a gazebo overlooking the grounds surrounded by open countryside. Her room also overlooks this lovely view should she just like to relax in front of her TV if the weather is bad. The manager is extremely kind, and understanding of people's needs, he goes over and above to make sure the residents are happy and well. I have also worked in a care home myself and had a good look around other homes in the area, but Warren Lodge came out on top in all areas. I can now feel more relaxed knowing that Mum is happy and well cared for.

Warren Lodge has helped me with respite care in the past, so when I was unable to care for my partner anymore, Warren Lodge was the obvious choice.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and attention they give to my partner with all his health problems, it is a great relief to know he is being
looked after 24/7.

My dear friend moved into Warren Lodge in March 2024. From the very beginning she was made to feel so welcome and 'at home'. Nothing, seemingly, is too much trouble for any of the staff. Right from the start everyone at Warren Lodge took time and care to find out what interested my friend and what
they could do to make her life easier and as enjoyable and interesting as possible. Warren Lodge is clean, bright and every week when I go I am also welcomed by all the staff with warm smiles and a friendly chat. Warren Lodge exudes a sense of comfort, contentment and homeliness. A place of tranquillity with a beautiful garden which my friend particularly appreciates as she was a keen gardener up until she moved to Warren Lodge.

My husband's grandmother moved to Warren Lodge around 3 years ago. She had previously spent some respite time there and knew it was the home that she would wish to move to should she need further care. She moved in during COVID and despite the restrictions that were in place we were immediately made
to feel welcome as a family. The welcoming atmosphere has continued throughout her time there - we have felt loved, cared for as a family and part of WL as our Grandmother was. I have always been impressed that WL maintains a permanent staff team - this meant our Grandmother, as well as we, felt like we really got to know the staff who were caring for her, all of whom take great pride in their work. Events are held at the home (such as garden parties) where staff bring their own families to join in the celebrations and fun - this for me can be considered as a summary as the investment of staff members in the work that they do. I cannot rate Value for money as I have not had sight of this.

Mum lived her final three years at Warren Lodge, and she chose here having visited other care homes. From the day she moved in, Mum (and us) were welcomed into the Warren Lodge family and they gave her a 'home' which was so important to us. All the staff have shown so much respect, care and compassion
to Mum and always included her in the activities (which there are many) or just popped in her room for a chat. During her final days/hours, the staff were amazing and they gave her so much care and attention and us so much support with hugs and kind words. The manager and staff have an open communication policy, always available to discuss any care, health or wellbeing concerns. They were a huge support when navigating the Adult social and medical care system.
The setting and the home itself are just beautiful. The garden, lawns and flower beds are always looked after. The home is constantly being maintained and all areas are clean, fresh and bright. Truly a wonderful place.

All team members of Warren Lodge were extremely accommodating with a short notice move-in for our father. We were very unsure about how he would accept a move to a residential home after 40+ years of living on his own, but our father was made to feel welcome from the outset, with each team member taking
the time to get to know him. He has settled in extremely quickly and is more than happy with his new home, a testament to the level of care and support he receives.

Mum decided to move into Warren Lodge. Her room was set up with her own furniture, etc. The staff are the best and the manager is an asset. He has created a wonderful, caring team. He took me into the dementia unit and I was impressed with how he dealt with an anxious resident. One day, the Maint. Manager
was Mum's carer. After that surprise, she said he was so gentle and kind. All are carers there. Mum raved about the food. When she couldn't feed herself, the way they cajoled her was perfect. Mum was of sound mind, and they talked with her in a dignified manner; always listening. As Mum deteriorated further, I felt like we were their family members! During Mum's final days, they were so kind. The caring and compassion are without comparison. I could not have wished for a better way for Mum to 'go'. It was peaceful, in her room with her own belongings. Once Mum had passed, they could not have handled it any better. 'Thank you; to ALL of you at Warren Lodge' is not enough, but I truly mean those words.

My mum spent 2 years in the dementia unit and from the first to last moment we knew it was the right place for her. It is warm and friendly with beautiful grounds (often used for events), a homely feel, secure single story dementia unit and staff who genuinely enjoy their work and stay for many years.
All the staff (from the Manager to carers, night team, cook and cleaners) were exceptional - so often going well beyond both for Mum and our family. Even when she lost her ability to speak, her face would light up with so many of the carers. We also got to know many on a personal level and without exception were always warmly welcomed - Warren Lodge really did become a 2nd home.
Dementia is a tough illness and yet the staff gently guided us through as Mum declined and ensured she always received the right medical and care and equipment to maintain maximum quality of life. The compassion they showed in the final days will stay with us forever.

I had to make the heartbreaking decision to move Mum and Dad to Warren Lodge, as they were no longer able to manage safely at home. I cannot thank all the staff enough for their kindness and compassion, both with looking after my parents... and looking after me as well! The dignity and respect shown
to my parents is of an outstanding level. Their personal hygiene, even down to including haircuts and wet shaving my Dad, is to such a high standard of care. The amount and quality of food means that my parents are eating better than they have done in years. And the activities provided are so varied, to stimulate their social and physical well-being. The building and grounds are lovely and the place is spotless and smells very clean and fresh. But it is the staff who make Warren Lodge a place I'm proud to say that my dear Mum and Dad now live in - thank you to everyone who makes a difference.

My mum is 91 and had never envisaged having to leave her own, very beautiful home. She has a number of health issues and was becoming increasingly frail. She made the decision she could no longer cope with living at home, even with the support of her family. Finding the right care home for her was a
huge responsibility.
Together with my sister, we chose Warren Lodge after visiting a number of other highly-rated homes in the surrounding area. From our very first visit, Warren Lodge stood out. The manager and his fantastic team spent so much invaluable time with us getting to know our mum, understanding her individual needs and working with us towards providing her with a real 'home' within Warren Lodge.
Mum moved in on 4th March. After only three months we cannot believe how well she has settled in, and how much better she looks.
The manager and his staff are amazing. We cannot recommend Warren Lodge highly enough.

After moving into the area to be nearer to family in early 2023 we started looking for a care home that would eventually be home to my wife who has both dementia and mobility issues. Right from our first visit Warren Lodge stood out as the very place we were looking for. Everything about Warren Lodge
exceeded our expectations, the staff were friendly and happy and there was a homely, welcoming atmosphere.
Prior to moving in we were both given outstanding support by the manager. On several occasions, my wife was invited to spend a day at Warren Lodge and she always enjoyed her time there. I too was given excellent support with a sympathetic and understanding ear and no pressure when the time came to make a decision. My wife has now been a permanent resident for eight weeks and everything is just as we expected, she is looked after by the wonderful team and is happy and comfortable in her new home. What an excellent decision we made!

Having recently lost my Dad to Alzheimer's, I am so grateful that he got to spend his last 18 months at Warren Lodge. Before we took the decision to move Dad into care, we had lots of difficulties coming to terms with the whole situation. The manager really put our minds at ease, offering his insights,
some great advice and helped us to recognise that we were doing the right thing for Dad's wellbeing. Dad settled in better than we could have hoped for and was very content during his time there. This was down to the whole team's kind and caring attitude, always treating Dad, my family and even our dog with the best of care. In Dad's final week, the staff could see the end was near, and went above and beyond helping us be at Dad's side for his final moments, something I will be forever grateful for. I have a huge amount of respect for all the amazing things the Warren Lodge team do every day, and I really appreciate Dad (and us) got to be part of their extended family.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's, came to Warren Lodge last year. He had not been easy to care for, and I was nervous about bringing him to a care home, but the manager and staff were very positive and helpful, welcoming him in and making his first visit go well. Although he was not easy and took time
to settle in, the staff got to know him and support his needs well. He is comfortable, relaxed and well cared for.
Warren Lodge is a warm and welcoming place. The staff are so kind and friendly and have been a great support to me too. They are always ready with a smile to help out with anything. The manager has been a tower of strength in helping me to look after my husband in the best way possible. I am so grateful to him and all the staff and warmly recommend Warren Lodge.

My husband moved into Warren Lodge in November 2022, suffering from dementia. We were very concerned about the care he would receive but it very quickly became obvious that we had made the right choice. Every member of staff there goes above and beyond their duty of care not only to my husband but to
the rest of the family as well, including the dog.
The staff know their residents' likes and dislikes so although there were activities happening in the lounge my husband was always taken back to his room if there was a football match on television.
There are no words I can say to express the appreciation my family and I feel towards all the staff at Warren Lodge. They are simply amazing.

Like many people, making the decision to move a family member into a care home is incredibly difficult. But what made the experience at Warren Lodge exemplary is the care and attention they gave to my father and to our family to make this as comfortable as possible. My father spent his final 1.5 years
at Warren Lodge, having battled Alzheimer's for several years. Immediately, I could see how happy he was, often commenting on the kind staff and the delicious food he encountered. I would regularly visit with my 2 young children, who referred to Warren Lodge as 'Grandad's holiday house'. They weren't far off - the staff were so welcoming, offering them ample snacks and things to keep them entertained (they especially enjoyed the vast garden area). What makes WL so special - the staff! They're incredibly caring and committed individuals, ensuring residents and their families are well cared for. Communication is brilliant and I urge anyone considering a care home to visit the WL team.

My Mum has now been at Warren Lodge for approx. 2.5 years. Initially very reluctant to leave her home, she soon adapted to her new life and is very happy - particularly enjoying the meals and attention of those caring for her.
I am relieved that she is safe and being cared for 24 hours a day and that
any issues are immediately advised to the family and are dealt with quickly.
The care she is receiving is kind and attentive.
My interactions with carers etc have been friendly, informative and explanatory when necessary.
I am very pleased that Warren Lodge was chosen for my Mother.

Mum has been at Warren Lodge since December and we feel so lucky to have found a space for Mum here. My Mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and became unable to care for herself, myself and family tried our best to home care for her needs. Unfortunately, this became increasingly difficult and we decided the best way for Mum was to go into a care home where they could meet her needs.
We were recommended
Warren Lodge so after taking Mum for a visit and meeting the staff, seeing the lovely house and gardens we knew Mum would be happy there.
Mum soon settled into her new home and got to know the staff. I must say I cannot fault the staff, my Mother could be quite a challenge at times but they cared for her with kindness, very caring, and understanding her needs.
I felt a great relief that I found Warren Lodge and I no longer had concerns about her not getting the right care she needed. I just knew the staff would look after my Mum.
Myself and family soon became friends with the staff and enjoyed our visits.
Sadly, aged 91, my Mother passed away. I will always be so grateful to Warren Lodge!

I am extremely passionate about delivering exceptional person-centred care to our residents and ensuring the highest standards of care are met. My background has been in healthcare, and the most rewarding aspect has been to lead by example in providing excellent service with quality dignity and choice. I am proud to be the Home Manager and thoroughly enjoy working with our residents, their families and the entire care team at Warren Lodge Care Centre.
