Mum lived her final three years at Warren Lodge, and she chose here having visited other care homes. From the day she moved in, Mum (and us) were welcomed into the Warren Lodge family and they gave her a 'home' which was so important to us. All the staff have shown so much respect, care and compassion to Mum and always included her in the activities (which there are many) or just popped in her room for a chat. During her final days/hours, the staff were amazing and they gave her so much care and attention and us so much support with hugs and kind words. The manager and staff have an open communication policy, always available to discuss any care, health or wellbeing concerns. They were a huge support when navigating the Adult social and medical care system.

The setting and the home itself are just beautiful. The garden, lawns and flower beds are always looked after. The home is constantly being maintained and all areas are clean, fresh and bright. Truly a wonderful place.

All team members of Warren Lodge were extremely accommodating with a short notice move-in for our father. We were very unsure about how he would accept a move to a residential home after 40+ years of living on his own, but our father was made to feel welcome from the outset, with each team member taking the time to get to know him. He has settled in extremely quickly and is more than happy with his new home, a testament to the level of care and support he receives.

Mum decided to move into Warren Lodge. Her room was set up with her own furniture, etc. The staff are the best and the manager is an asset. He has created a wonderful, caring team. He took me into the dementia unit and I was impressed with how he dealt with an anxious resident. One day, the Maint. Manager was Mum's carer. After that surprise, she said he was so gentle and kind. All are carers there. Mum raved about the food. When she couldn't feed herself, the way they cajoled her was perfect. Mum was of sound mind, and they talked with her in a dignified manner; always listening. As Mum deteriorated further, I felt like we were their family members! During Mum's final days, they were so kind. The caring and compassion are without comparison. I could not have wished for a better way for Mum to 'go'. It was peaceful, in her room with her own belongings. Once Mum had passed, they could not have handled it any better. 'Thank you; to ALL of you at Warren Lodge' is not enough, but I truly mean those words.

My mum spent 2 years in the dementia unit and from the first to last moment we knew it was the right place for her. It is warm and friendly with beautiful grounds (often used for events), a homely feel, secure single story dementia unit and staff who genuinely enjoy their work and stay for many years.
All the staff (from the Manager to carers, night team, cook and cleaners) were exceptional - so often going well beyond both for Mum and our family. Even when she lost her ability to speak, her face would light up with so many of the carers. We also got to know many on a personal level and without exception were always warmly welcomed - Warren Lodge really did become a 2nd home.

Dementia is a tough illness and yet the staff gently guided us through as Mum declined and ensured she always received the right medical and care and equipment to maintain maximum quality of life. The compassion they showed in the final days will stay with us forever.

I had to make the heartbreaking decision to move Mum and Dad to Warren Lodge, as they were no longer able to manage safely at home. I cannot thank all the staff enough for their kindness and compassion, both with looking after my parents... and looking after me as well! The dignity and respect shown to my parents is of an outstanding level. Their personal hygiene, even down to including haircuts and wet shaving my Dad, is to such a high standard of care. The amount and quality of food means that my parents are eating better than they have done in years. And the activities provided are so varied, to stimulate their social and physical well-being. The building and grounds are lovely and the place is spotless and smells very clean and fresh. But it is the staff who make Warren Lodge a place I'm proud to say that my dear Mum and Dad now live in - thank you to everyone who makes a difference.

My mum is 91 and had never envisaged having to leave her own, very beautiful home. She has a number of health issues and was becoming increasingly frail. She made the decision she could no longer cope with living at home, even with the support of her family. Finding the right care home for her was a huge responsibility.
Together with my sister, we chose Warren Lodge after visiting a number of other highly-rated homes in the surrounding area. From our very first visit, Warren Lodge stood out. The manager and his fantastic team spent so much invaluable time with us getting to know our mum, understanding her individual needs and working with us towards providing her with a real 'home' within Warren Lodge.
Mum moved in on 4th March. After only three months we cannot believe how well she has settled in, and how much better she looks.

The manager and his staff are amazing. We cannot recommend Warren Lodge highly enough.

After moving into the area to be nearer to family in early 2023 we started looking for a care home that would eventually be home to my wife who has both dementia and mobility issues. Right from our first visit Warren Lodge stood out as the very place we were looking for. Everything about Warren Lodge exceeded our expectations, the staff were friendly and happy and there was a homely, welcoming atmosphere.

Prior to moving in we were both given outstanding support by the manager. On several occasions, my wife was invited to spend a day at Warren Lodge and she always enjoyed her time there. I too was given excellent support with a sympathetic and understanding ear and no pressure when the time came to make a decision. My wife has now been a permanent resident for eight weeks and everything is just as we expected, she is looked after by the wonderful team and is happy and comfortable in her new home. What an excellent decision we made!

Having recently lost my Dad to Alzheimer's, I am so grateful that he got to spend his last 18 months at Warren Lodge. Before we took the decision to move Dad into care, we had lots of difficulties coming to terms with the whole situation. The manager really put our minds at ease, offering his insights, some great advice and helped us to recognise that we were doing the right thing for Dad's wellbeing. Dad settled in better than we could have hoped for and was very content during his time there. This was down to the whole team's kind and caring attitude, always treating Dad, my family and even our dog with the best of care. In Dad's final week, the staff could see the end was near, and went above and beyond helping us be at Dad's side for his final moments, something I will be forever grateful for. I have a huge amount of respect for all the amazing things the Warren Lodge team do every day, and I really appreciate Dad (and us) got to be part of their extended family.

My husband, who has Alzheimer's, came to Warren Lodge last year. He had not been easy to care for, and I was nervous about bringing him to a care home, but the manager and staff were very positive and helpful, welcoming him in and making his first visit go well. Although he was not easy and took time to settle in, the staff got to know him and support his needs well. He is comfortable, relaxed and well cared for.

Warren Lodge is a warm and welcoming place. The staff are so kind and friendly and have been a great support to me too. They are always ready with a smile to help out with anything. The manager has been a tower of strength in helping me to look after my husband in the best way possible. I am so grateful to him and all the staff and warmly recommend Warren Lodge.

My husband moved into Warren Lodge in November 2022, suffering from dementia. We were very concerned about the care he would receive but it very quickly became obvious that we had made the right choice. Every member of staff there goes above and beyond their duty of care not only to my husband but to the rest of the family as well, including the dog.
The staff know their residents' likes and dislikes so although there were activities happening in the lounge my husband was always taken back to his room if there was a football match on television.

There are no words I can say to express the appreciation my family and I feel towards all the staff at Warren Lodge. They are simply amazing.

Like many people, making the decision to move a family member into a care home is incredibly difficult. But what made the experience at Warren Lodge exemplary is the care and attention they gave to my father and to our family to make this as comfortable as possible. My father spent his final 1.5 years at Warren Lodge, having battled Alzheimer's for several years. Immediately, I could see how happy he was, often commenting on the kind staff and the delicious food he encountered. I would regularly visit with my 2 young children, who referred to Warren Lodge as 'Grandad's holiday house'. They weren't far off - the staff were so welcoming, offering them ample snacks and things to keep them entertained (they especially enjoyed the vast garden area). What makes WL so special - the staff! They're incredibly caring and committed individuals, ensuring residents and their families are well cared for. Communication is brilliant and I urge anyone considering a care home to visit the WL team.

My Mum has now been at Warren Lodge for approx. 2.5 years. Initially very reluctant to leave her home, she soon adapted to her new life and is very happy - particularly enjoying the meals and attention of those caring for her.
I am relieved that she is safe and being cared for 24 hours a day and that any issues are immediately advised to the family and are dealt with quickly.
The care she is receiving is kind and attentive.
My interactions with carers etc have been friendly, informative and explanatory when necessary.
I am very pleased that Warren Lodge was chosen for my Mother.

Mum has been at Warren Lodge since December and we feel so lucky to have found a space for Mum here. Every single member of staff has been absolutely amazing with settling in and looking after Mum and also looking after all of us during the time Mum has been there. Every time we visit we know we have made the right choice moving Mum to Warren Lodge, we cannot express how thankful we are for everyone there.

My Mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and became unable to care for herself, myself and family tried our best to home care for her needs. Unfortunately, this became increasingly difficult and we decided the best way for Mum was to go into a care home where they could meet her needs.
We were recommended Warren Lodge so after taking Mum for a visit and meeting the staff, seeing the lovely house and gardens we knew Mum would be happy there.
Mum soon settled into her new home and got to know the staff. I must say I cannot fault the staff, my Mother could be quite a challenge at times but they cared for her with kindness, very caring, and understanding her needs.
I felt a great relief that I found Warren Lodge and I no longer had concerns about her not getting the right care she needed. I just knew the staff would look after my Mum.
Myself and family soon became friends with the staff and enjoyed our visits.

Sadly, aged 91, my Mother passed away. I will always be so grateful to Warren Lodge!

My aunt has now been at this care home for 18 months since she came for respite care. We were initially visited by the home manager and I immediately warmed to his manner and ethos. My aunt could stay for just the week or as long as needed but she has not left. She has Alzheimer's and it did take a while for her to settle but we worked through this time - it is to be expected that she would ask 'to go home'. Now she just says it is lovely there and wants to be reassured that she can stay. The staff have always been so supportive to both of us. They are friendly and welcoming and there is always a cup of tea and biscuit awaiting. The food is excellent, provided by the amazing chef. She spends the day with others in the lounge/dining area so there is plenty of conversation, care and also activities from the wonderful life enrichment team, including events to which we are all invited. To conclude, I and, more importantly, my aunt, are very happy with this 'home from home'.

Following a fall in the kitchen, fracturing a bone in my white elbow and being right-handed, my ability to carry out the usual household chores was severely restricted. Whilst my husband endeavoured to assist in every aspect clearly it was an impossible task. The home manager visited me at very short notice, making arrangements for me to enter the home the next day. His kindness and wanting to assist in every way possible can only be described as perfection. Apart from the home manager the staff at the home also showed me compassion and provided excellent care during my two-week stay at the home.

My wife and I are both in our 80s. My wife had a chronic lower back pain condition, but following a fall in the kitchen fracturing a bone in her right elbow made her feel considerably unwell. In the circumstances, I held the view that I was unable to provide the nursing and care my wife deserved. Having approached the home on a Saturday evening, I was grateful the home manager visited us in our home the next day, Sunday, and my wife was safely admitted to the home on the following day Monday. Apart from expressing my sincere thanks to the home manager I also thank the staff at the home who showed compassion and provided excellent care during my wife's two week stay at the home.
