My wife and I are both in our 80s. My wife had a chronic lower back pain condition, but following a fall in the kitchen fracturing a bone in her right elbow made her feel considerably unwell. In the circumstances, I held the view that I was unable to provide the nursing and care my wife deserved. Having approached the home on a Saturday evening, I was grateful the home manager visited us in our home the next day, Sunday, and my wife was safely admitted to the home on the following day Monday. Apart from expressing my sincere thanks to the home manager I also thank the staff at the home who showed compassion and provided excellent care during my wife's two week stay at the home.

Warren Lodge can only be described as outstanding from the time we met the team, tasted the food and experienced the many parts of the home. We felt our father was treated like a member of a large family with love, compassion and care. The whole family felt reassured and were always warmly welcomed at any time. If you are considering care for a loved one wthn we would highly recommend a visit to Warren Lodge.

The most important is the manager, who is professional, caring, compassionate and a great team leader.
His team is very special, well trained, stable, sympathetic to their individual residents' needs, flexible, thoughtful and full of empathy to their residents, but also, to the families involved in this journey.
At 90, sadly my dad passed away recently. The care that they gave Dad and our family during this time was exemplary, so gentle, thoughtful and caring.
I can highly recommend Warren Lodge, it is always kept very clean, my dad was extremely well looked after there, the wonderful chef cooks excellent, home-prepared and nourishing food.
Dad was treated by everyone as a member of this family, it has been an honour and a pleasure to be part of the extended Warren Lodge family.

As a daughter of a resident who lives half way around the world from the home the level they go to in keeping me connected to my mother, who is in the late stages of dementia, has been second to none.
I Facetime weekly sometimes successful on first attempt, sometimes it takes 3 tries as she often knocks the screen over, turns it off or sadly isn't in the right "mood" but they patiently reconnect us or we try another day.
Mum always looks clean, well dressed and well looked after whether it's over the line or on the couple of times I have been back to visit. When I have been back there is a real warmth to the Home and nothing ever seems too much. I couldn't ask for anything more so thank you all for all you do.

The staff are caring always kind and very patient, even when he has not been easy to manage.
My husband is always cleanly shaven, and washed, hair brushed with clean clothes on daily. I visit on different days and the staff don’t always know when I am visiting, so this is not just for my benefit. The dignity the carers show is exceptional.
Another really important aspect of good care is that I have never turned up to find my husband sat in soiled clothes or wet.
In fact, I have never walked into the care home and smelled the unpleasant odour of residents who are sat in soiled clothing.
Finally, my husband is very much in the last stage of dementia and the care and patience taken in feeding him with liquid food is outstanding- if it takes an hour -it takes an hour there is no rushing they are courageous and wait until he is ready to drink.

Mum has been in Warren Lodge for over a year now. Although she managed in her own flat for many years, after the Covid pandemic it became apparent that she needed more support. Initially, it did take Mum a few weeks to settle in, but the manager and staff made her feel welcome and were very patient and supportive. Having some familiar furniture, photos and paintings in her room helped. If I phone Warren Lodge the staff always know about Mum and can help with my questions. Mum enjoys the various activities and sometimes remembers them when chatting with me. Mum had a lovely birthday party in the garden with members of her family. The staff had decorated an area for her and the chef made a lovely cake. I was very touched that a member of staff came in on her day off to check that everything went well. I think that this shows that the staff do really care about their residents. The environment and grounds of Warren Lodge seem almost timeless and provide a sense of peace.

The home although not the most modern I have seen makes up for that with the cheerful atmosphere, the carers and residents are often seen having a dance and a singalong. My Mother was a resident of Warren Lodge for only 5 months before her sudden and unexpected passing. We were faced with the difficult decision of placing her into care due to signs of the onset of dementia. I viewed many local care homes and Warren Lodge easily stood head and shoulders above the others. 'Mum' found it quite difficult to adapt to her new surroundings at first but, through the love, care and compassionate support shown by the Manager and his wonderful team, she quickly became settled and happy in the home with her new found friends. It was very reassuring to us that Mum was being looked after so well and it was clear that we had made a good decision in Warren Lodge. Throughout, we were always made to feel so genuinely welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble. If you are facing a difficult decision to place a loved one in care then look no further than Warren Lodge. The Manager, his lovely staff and the home are outstanding. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
My Mother has been a resident for almost 2 years and throughout that time the manager and his team have been fantastic. They managed through the difficult initial period of my Mother settling in and soon after that, they had to deal with Covid and all that it entailed. IPads were made available for...
If you are looking for a care home for yourself or a relative then visit Warren Lodge, you will struggle to find somewhere better.
I cannot praise this care home and all the staff enough; it is exceptional. I cannot praise this care home and all the staff enough; it is exceptional. We had tried Dad, who has dementia, in another care home last year, but it didn't go well, so he has had a live-in carer since then, but now this was no longer an option. As soon as my sister and I were greeted at the door and met the wonderful manager, we knew it was the right place for Dad. I visited the home four or five times with Dad to meet the staff, have lunch and join in the activities so he would be prepared when a room became available. When it did, it was difficult to drop Dad off and walk away, but the staff have been there for me as much as Dad with hugs, daily updates, photos and reassurance that all would be well despite a very difficult start as Dad is not an easy resident. The guilt is immense, but with every passing day and Dad's increasing happiness, the relief slowly comes. Warren Lodge is amazing. I cannot recommend this care home enough. Thank you to the manager and team!

Mum has been at Warren Lodge for 18 months now and I am so relieved that we chose the Care Centre as she has been looked after 24/7 in the most caring way possible. All the team are friendly and very professional. Mum's welfare is the most important thing to them and us as a family so we can all relax in the knowledge that she is being well looked after and her medication needs are dealt with efficiently. Every member of staff welcomes you and always has enough time to chat or discuss anything going on with Mum and they are never impatient. The residents are encouraged in activities and socialising but also given their own space when they want or need it. I never wanted Mum to have to leave her own home but when the decision had to be made we were reassured by the whole setup at Warren Lodge.

Out of the 3 homes we selected Mum chose Warren Lodge. The combination of age, dementia and Covid meant she was lonely and without any stimulation was getting more and more confused on her own. She moved in and we knew she was safe, but I felt so guilty. As window visits started it was so hard to see a stranger comforting Mum, holding her hand and gently explaining things to her, it was an emotional rollercoaster. It all changed as we came out of lockdown and we were finally allowed into Warren Lodge, meeting the wonderful team that is the Warren Lodge Family who not only care for the residents but for the wider family as well. When Mum recently died at the age of 92, I was humbled by the outpouring of genuine emotion and love from the team as they said their goodbyes and opened up telling us lovely stories of times they had with Mum as they cared for her. I would not hesitate to recommend Warren Lodge and the wonderful team that makes it such a special home for those that live there.
I selected three care homes when Mum was in the early stages of dementia and took her to visit them. The first two were super-modern which was very impressive. But sitting comfortably on the sofa with cups of tea and goodies, chatting and laughing with the manager, made Warren Lodge the obvious...
She chose this home without hesitation. We are so glad because it's not just Mum that is being cared for with such great affection and consideration. This fabulous team of good people has guided and nurtured all my family so kindly, throughout this hard and distressing time in our lives.

My father moved into Warren Lodge in August 2020, the year Covid started spreading in the UK. Throughout the staff have done an exceptional job making my father as comfortable as possible while also providing his family with as much access as possible. At all times, the staff have been professional but also kind and caring, to both my father and my family, despite my father's reluctance to stay at the home initially. He is now settled and happy living in the home, with frequent visits out to local tea shops, which helps jog memories, despite the rapid deterioration in his memory. Not sure what else anyone could have done to help with a very difficult time for both my father and the wider family.
Well-run care home. My wife has settled in well and is looked after by the very professional staff.

This stay was for rehabilitation after a hip operation and fulfilled all our expectations. Everyone was very kind and caring.
