I loved being part of it!
The staff were all very patient with the residents, even when they repeated themselves over and over again. That's what I like most about the residential home. Also, the home itself was kept very clean and the facilities provided were excellent.
Staff are always very welcoming when I visit and there is a very calm and smiley atmosphere. My friend is well looked after, kept clean and tidy and staff come quickly when called on the bell. I was impressed with the variety of entertainment offered, such as art classes and on two occasions I was able to attend fascinating talks on early London by an archaeologist. On the afternoon when I visit, I am always offered tea/coffee and cake. Great care is taken to ensure my friend does not have a fall.
All the staff are so kind, friendly and caring. They are brilliant. I can't praise them enough.
As a family, we are all so very pleased and content with Bartlett's.
Invited to role play. On arrival, I was well received by staff to a building that was pristine in all respects. The arrangements for my presentation of gifts was slick and well thought out for quickness of distribution giving me an opportunity for short conversations with the majority of residents. All able residents were seated around a long table wearing Xmas hats and the room decorated in the festive spirit. Additionally, there was a buffet tea party, radio songs and music and later a visiting female singer and creating a family atmosphere. After my play role, I was invited to sit and enjoy the buffet and gave me the opportunity as an outsider to see how the staff carried out their duties. Their attitude indicated a very caring workforce that generated great trust of the residents with every need catered for. I left the building pleased to see that staff and residents were very much a big happy family with no resentments.
We viewed a number of residential care homes in the area. Bartlett's stood out hands down - not only in the level of accommodation (we often speak of it being akin to a hotel - in building with wonderful grounds, decor, furniture, and not to speak to of the meals!) but also in the approach and manner of the staff. My Grandfather has been resident since July 2016, and we can not be happier with how he has settled and the level of care received. From early-on he referred to Bartlett's as his new home, which said a great deal. Most importantly, though, we as a family take great comfort in knowing that he is being genuinely cared for by staff that excel in everything that they do. The staff at Bartlett's are truly excellent!
Just a lovely place to visit. It's very clean, has lovely views, comfortable rooms. Charming staff and all staff cheerful and helpful. When I visited as one of the poppy sellers for the British Legion the residents had made some poppies of felt and were decorating fir cones with paint and glitter for decorating the place for Christmas. My friend who I popped in to see while there showed me some paintings she had done and read me a poem she had been encouraged to write. I was offered a cup of tea while there too. My friend was happy there and loved watching the birds in the grounds, from a nice window seat by a big window.
Always clean and tidy (high standards) Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Entertainment for the residents. Excellent meals. Residents kept clean and tidy.
I loved my stay at Bartlett's, staff are very loving, caring and friendly.
My daughter and myself came to look around and was pleased with the obvious care that was available so I came here straight from hospital and the care and attention that I received was top quality. The food is marvellous and a very good choice. Nothing is too much trouble for all the staff.
After looking at three homes Bartlett's was miles better than the other two. The home stands in it's own grounds, with fantastic views up to the Chiltern Hills, with it's grounds in immaculate condition. The home has all rooms en-suite and they are really clean and fresh. There are activities going on most days, and finally, the staff - I cannot praise them enough on how friendly they are, and making the residents feel very happy in their latter days of life. I would have no trouble recommending Bartlett's in the future, to somebody who is looking for a 5 star home for their parent.
My grandmother has been a resident at Bartlett's Nursing Home for 3 years now. The staff are extremely friendly and very accommodating.
I visit monthly with a volunteer from the church to take a Communion Service. We are always made welcome and treated with respect and we witness the same attitude towards the residents. The environment is beautifully kept and there is a relaxed atmosphere of calm.
Very friendly reception every time we visit. Our friend is well looked after (and so are we). Always someone around to offer help and always with a smile. Don't know how much this service costs.
This is a very pleasant home, large Victorian house with a modern addition. It has some large rooms facing south with excellent views, the north facing rooms are a bit dark. The grounds are extensive with trees and facilities for residents to sit outside and enjoy the view. dining rooms are pleasant, and civilised, particularly in the new wing. The staff are caring and always helpful and events are organised, the home being particularly anxious to involve the local community.
The home is in a lovely old house and feels quite homely. It is light, clean, well organised and has friendly staff. The food is varied and drinks too are frequent and good. I particularly appreciate the afternoon and mornings tea/coffee breaks with biscuits and cake. The rooms are warm and well appointed. The dining room is a little small but adequate. The lounge has a large TV and books and games. The security is reassuring and the views outside the home are very nice and the social activities are appreciated.
Bartlett's was a real find, perfect for mum, as it was just like her home. Period features, large grounds etc. When ever we visit, there are always staff present. A family member said it is more like a hotel than a care home. We are all delighted.
Bartlett's is always bright and fresh. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and attentive to visitors and residents a like. Sterling efforts are made to keep residents entertained and stimulated. All of my mother's key personal needs are well catered for and documented. In an ideal world, where carers are not pushed for time, secondary issues such as dealing with facial hair, and soup/gravy stains could be covered. Overall, I never have a single qualm about leaving mum in Bartlett's care. When/if the time comes, I'll be putting my own name down for a place at Bartlett's.
Bartlett's is a lovely, well cared for home. The staff always treat the residents and family visitors with great respect. The staff are well trained and very knowledgeable about the care that they give. Great attention is given to keeping the residents well looked after and happy. The staff are always happy and cheerful and nothing is too much trouble. A good programme of activities is provided every day of the week. I am so glad that I chose Bartlett's for my mother's care.
My father has been at Bartletts for just or 10 months. It took 3-6 months for him to settle and feel 'at home' but the staff played a big part in helping him. He has always been treated with respect, understanding, patience and kindness. He has had several falls so the staff know to keep an eye on him and offer support, whilst trying not to restrict him or take away his independence. He prefers not to spend too much time downstairs so spends a lot of time in his room doing his jigsaws - often with the help of the staff who pop in and out. Visitors are always made welcome and offered refreshments.
