The Corner House is a family run Care Home (since 1999), situated close to the Sea Front. They welcome you to come and visit the home which boasts beautifully decorated en suite rooms, and spacious landscaped gardens. The Corner House received an 'Outstanding' CQC rating in the 'Well-led' category (July 2018).

During lockdown times, the gardens have been used by families and friends to have much-needed meetups. The weather has enabled precious moments between loved ones.
The home has a Gazebo which provides shelter and creates an outside room. The garden also has a cafe and ice cream booth for long, hot summer days.

The highly trained staff offer warm and friendly care, whilst supported by CCTV for the comfort of family and residents alike.

A lovely cinema lounge with internet facilities aims to maximise choice and independence. Film afternoons with popcorn are a favourite!

Bedrooms are tastefully decorated each with telephone & television points and state of the art call bells.

In 2019/20, the care home was refurbished to include a bar (Temple Bar), retro lounge and a shop for the wellbeing of residents.

Meals are carefully designed with nutrition and variety in mind including special menus.

They are a family run home, which encourages relatives and friends of residents to be partners in care, to be as involved as much as they or their loved one choose. The team actively encourage relatives to join residents at mealtimes and attend activities. If residents are unwell, if relatives wish to stay with their loved one, the team can provide refreshments and support during these difficult times.

I do not understand why my aunt does not have hearing aids - these are free under the National Health for OAPs.
Also, her lower legs were bare and looked cold.
In general, all seemed fine and she is wonderful for her age.

Your Aunt has lived with us at The Corner House for over 6 Years making it her home.
We purchased special socks on the recommendation from a Healthcare Professional. Her legs have since improved dramatically so they are no longer a requirement. The Carers in the morning respect your aunt's choice as to whether she would like to wear the socks. Fortunately, the temperature is always very warm within the Home and she chooses not to at times.
We understand your sentiments about the hearing aids. Now the District Nurses have finished an investigation and treating a health problem relating to her ears, we have requested the audiologist to revisit regarding her hearing aid.
Aunty is very happy and content with living at The Corner House and we hope this continues, as per our recent conversation. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

What a lovely home. My dad has been a resident for three years and this year celebrated his 100th birthday. The staff couldn't do enough for him to make his birthday special. Even having a special cake made. There is always a lovely atmosphere when I visit and the food offered is amazing. Everyone goes
above and beyond to make the residents' stay so pleasurable and comfortable with lots of activities.

Mum is here for an initial 6 weeks respite care with a view to it being permanent. So far everything is going well due mainly to the staff being caring, offering excellent support and words of encouragement. Overall an excellent care home in all respects.

My sister asked me to visit her friend in this care home. I met very friendly staff, my friend said there are plenty of activities every day and very good entertainment. We sat in the garden and enjoyed the sun with a cup of tea. My friend looks happy there.

My friend, she's living at Corner House now. From the entrance I start to feel my friend is safe here, she's very happy to be in the Corner House. I see all the staff are very nice and polite, they offer me a drink and they make me feel comfortable.

What a wonderful experience visiting my nan at The Corner House was.
Staff were so welcoming and decor is warm and welcoming.
