Corner Lodge

Each time I have visited Mum all staff have been friendly and professional. Mum is well cared for. Corner Lodge Care Home is always clean, tidy and fresh smelling.

Six months into my father's care here and I have nothing but praise for all the staff I have encountered at the setting. My father's advanced dementia along with very limited eyes meant that all our family, in particular, my mother (87) were full of anxiety and concern when the decision was made for him to go into a home. We worry no more.

Very happy with the care my father is receiving since he has been a resident here. Always notified of any actions or treatments he has had or more may need. Cannot fault staff in any way.

My father was admitted to Corner Lodge Care Home in December 2020. All the staff have been very kind and supportive of him. They have kept me informed of any issues with his care. They have been very supportive of my mother on her visits to see my dad, even helping her to create a small garden for him. They have been really caring of him and my family.

Unfortunately, I am unable to comment on his room and facilities as because of Covid no one has been able to enter the home but I cannot praise the wonderful staff enough.

My friend is a resident at Corner Lodge, who I take out for outings and activities, supported by her family. Blue, my bichon dog, comes in to visit the residents who like dogs and put a smile on their faces. Staff are always very welcoming, and I cannot find any issues with the home, always spotless.

A very relaxed and pleasant visit in the conservatory, which is looking lovely, with flowers and new soft armchairs.

My cousin has been with Corner Lodge for a long time and always received the best care and attention and was very happy with everyone.

Her room is pleasant and kept tidy and clean.

Excellent attention and much effort has been offered to my husband during his stay here.

Total care towards my father-in-law disgraceful. Told on numerous occasions that he should be in a nursing home and not here - we had to source this ourselves through the local authorities and thankfully he has now been moved. The manageress was annoyed that he was being moved, told that we had to give a month's notice and referred to themselves as a business, no statement that they are a care home. Totally not impressed with the care attitude that I witnessed when visiting. My father in law's personal effects including a hearing aid now only left with one, went missing, no one could give us a reason, only that there is a resident that goes into other residents rooms and takes things! My father in law's room was disgusting, wallpaper peeling, dado rail loose, indentations and marks on the painted part of the walls. Told that the month's notice would pay for the redecoration. Well, it certainly was not decorated when he moved in.

My mother became a resident of Corner Lodge the only way I can describe the facilities is fantastic never have I seen my mother smile so much the staff are incredible and go the extra mile every day, it is a pleasure to visit.

I feel the entire staff do their best for the residents and their families and I can not fault them.

It is clear my husband is looked after very well. He is always clean and tidy when we visit and the carers are always upbeat.

Excellent Covid procedures. Makes visiting harder but understand it's necessary. Having not been into the care home itself makes judging difficult, but from what I see and hear everything is good.

Corner Lodge is a very good care home considering all the challenges they face at this time. I try to visit my mum once a week, and the staff are helpful with regard to this. This is a very busy home but the staff do their very best with most residents having dementia of some sort. I would recommend this care home to others.

I am very impressed with the warmth and care that my mum received when she moved here. Everyone has been so attentive and kind and the place has a lovely atmosphere. I would highly recommend to others.

This is an excellent care home, my wife has been here for 2 and a half years. I visit every day.

All the carers are amazing and nothing is too much. Phone calls are accepted with correct information straight away. Mum is calmer and happier since starting Corner Lodge. We are very happy with the care mum is receiving. Everyone is happy and a joy to be around.
