Excelcare Goldenley

Having both parents with different needs I see all the sides of care. No one that works at Goldenley lacks in their care and dedication to their job. My mother's dementia and my father's mobility issues give all the staff challenges. Goldenley staff are always professional and give 100% to what they are doing.

My mother has been a resident at Goldenly for the last 7 years. I visited several other homes when deciding which would be best for her needs. I was worried that I would not make the right choice. I had no need to worry she has been very happy living there. I am very confident she is being well looked after. The staff always contact me if there is need to and I feel assured she is being well looked after. I would have no problem recommending this home to potential residents or there relatives.

Very clean, caring and most importantly warm, which other care homes seem to neglect.

Mum went into Goldenley in October 2016 she took a while to settle but now is ok. We have no complaints about mums care, the staff are great and very caring.

If I ever end up in a care home I would like to think it would be a happy, safe, caring establishment such as Goldenley.

What a wonderful care home this is. All the family loved coming here to see their mum (in my case wife). The staff were excellent and the way they cared for the varying needs of the residents was exceptional. We felt that our loved one was in really good hands and we were sorry when doctors decided she needed to be 'reassessed' in hospital.

The staff at Goldenley are incredible. Their dedication and hard work are exemplary. Every resident is given time care and attention.

Staff work well as a team and put Mum's needs first. Cheerful, approachable, happy, considerate, caring. Mum finds Christmas difficult and the staff recognise this and help her.

Very good care home, the residents and visitors are very well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble for the very friendly and caring staff.

My Dad has been at Goldenley for nearly four years, he's looked after very well. The staff are fantastic and treat all residents with compassion.

My husband uses the facilities for respite. I have no complaints and he seems quite happy. He always looks well groomed and clean.

Goldenley is a friendly and welcoming care home. The staff are extremely efficient and caring towards their residents. They are very aware of the individual needs of everyone. All residents are treated with dignity, respect and friendliness. As a family, we all are made to feel welcome and can visit my mum whenever we want to and at any time of the day. We are always kept informed about the needs and requirements of my mum and are always invited to any meetings or care plan discussions.

Staff go out of their way to entertain and stimulate the residents - from keep fit, to craft activities to sing a longs (if the resident wants to participate of course!) Goldenley is a lovely place and we feel very lucky that Mum is cared for, cherished and kept safe in this warm and happy environment.

My aunt is well looked after and the facilities are excellent. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and providing my aunt with all she requires. She is always treated with dignity.

Our mum has been cared for in a very compassionate and caring way. The staff really make an effort to listen to her and have empathy with her at all times.

Since my mother was welcomed into the home some months ago it was a great relief to see how happy and content she was being there and seeing first hand how caring, approachable and professional all the staff are. On one occasions when she became very unwell the response from the care team was second to none and they looked after her immediate needs until paramedics arrived very impressive! After a visit, it is comforting to know that our parent is being looked after by a great team giving the best care, dignity and compassion in a family atmosphere.

I just wanted to register my thanks to all the staff at Goldenley. My mother was cared for there for approximately three and a half years following the death of my father. She had Alzheimer's and although it was very difficult to visit her both practically and emotionally, my family were always impressed with the care and compassion shown by the staff there. Although our mother was unable to really say how she was treated, we could always see that the staff cared for the people there with patience and dignity, in what must be a very difficult job for them. My mother recently passed away and a member of staff attended the funeral service which was very touching. Thanks again to everyone there.
