Thanks so much for your feedback. We are delighted when mum takes part in activities and trips out so, please be assured we will remain committed to giving her some encouragement when needed to ensure she is able to continue to enjoy everything we have going on here at Honey Lane.
We’re so saddened to read your thoughts and would urge you to come and speak to us. We understand the past couple of years have been difficult for our family members due to government changes to visiting guidance which has led to less opportunity to see how we care for your loved one. I would hope you’re now able to get to better know our manager who has worked for our group for many years supporting residents living with dementia, and our deputy, again a long-standing member of our wider team. All our team are committed to spending quality time with our treasured residents, to truly understand each person and their needs. They do all they can to ensure our residents remain happy and fully supported and we always ensure we have enough team members to meet their complex needs. Our dedicated lifestyles team have and continue to create meaningful opportunities every day for our residents to take part in existing hobbies and interests, as well as support them to try new things.

Our Home Manager Angie joined the Carebase family at Honey Lane in 2013. Showing a natural flair for care, she quickly progressed to the role of Senior before moving in 2015 to our sister home, 1 Sewardstone Close, which cares for adults with an acquired brain injury. Over the course of the next three years, she was promoted from a Team Leader to the home’s Head of Care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams including speech and language therapists and psychologists. Angie returned to Honey Lane in February 2022 as Deputy Manager.
Angie is a Qualified Dementia Interpreter and brings a wealth of experience supporting residents, their families and our teams. She is passionate about truly understanding the differing needs of residents to deliver personalised care that enables them to live well with dementia.
Speaking about her role at Honey Lane, Angie said: “We support residents to live a life which is meaningful to them and one where they are able to spend their time doing the things they love. It’s a privilege to get to know our residents and nothing makes me happier than seeing them content and well looked-after.”
In her spare time, Angie enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, music, and going to the theatre.
