Lime Court is a 44-bed care home, including four double rooms, spread over two floors, with lift access and five separate themed lounges. The home specialises in dementia and care for elderly people, situated near the seafront and within easy reach of local shops and amenities of Dovercourt.

The home has a six bed private wing with en-suites which was opened in October 2012. The purpose-built care home offers a superb lifestyle for its residents with a reputation in the community for the warmth of the staff and the care provided.

Lime Court are very proud that it was the pilot for the Food First programme, which alleviates the need of medicated supplements. Residents enjoy their meals in a well-lit, spacious central dining room, and menus are tailored to residents requests. Feedback is sought from residents about any changes.

A central recreational courtyard area (accessible by wheelchair users), with raised beds, is enjoyed by residents and families, along with a side garden and large patio area. Together, staff, family and friends have created a reminiscence lounge with items from the early 1900's to present day.

The care home receives regular visits from hairdressers, opticians, chiropodists and a therapist who offers massages in a sensory room. A full time activity coordinator arranges activities which include regular outings to local attractions, live entertainment, knitting clubs, card clubs, bingo, pet therapy, plus many more. If there are specific requests for activities these are accommodated.

My husband had a stroke 2022 since he had trouble with speech and has had heart problems. Recently he had an accident and at 86 decided life was just too difficult. He came in for terminally care. The staff were all dedicated from nurses to laundry staff, all I had contact with were so helpful. The
day he died when I came in their were 3 staff settling him comfortably - all gently tucking him in with care and love. I would recommend anyone needing care to use Lime Court, it could not have given better care.

"The staff at this care home are absolutely wonderful. They always treat my nan with such kindness, patience, and respect, which gives us great peace of mind knowing she is so well looked after. The home has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and good home cooked food is served plentiful. One of the things
we love most are the daily events and activities they provide - from games and music to crafts and social gatherings - there's always something to keep her engaged and smiling. My brothers & I had our Stepmother, who had advanced dementia & was bedbound, moved to Lime Court Care Home near myself, in Dovercourt, almost 3 years ago, after being very concerned about her care in a previous home, local to where she had resided. It was the best decision we could have made. She
was so well looked after by the amazing, caring staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was always clean & we didn't have to make appointments to visit, just turned up, & with so many activities available for the residents.
A lot of the staff have been there for many years. A testament to the management & level of care.
I would highly recommend Lime Court to anyone who is trying to find the best place to have their loved ones in a comfortable, caring environment, and to be looked after so brilliantly. Thank you to you all Lime Court.

Lime Court is a wonderful care home. The staff are professional, kind, caring, friendly and always welcoming. Visiting is straightforward - flexible with dates, never a problem parking, and a staff member available to welcome us. Our dog was welcome, too! The entry and exit process demonstrated a
keen attention to security and safety. The rooms and common areas are spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The care they provided to my step-mother in her final years was simply outstanding. Thank you Lime Court.

We celebrated our mum's 80th Birthday in Lime Court this last weekend. Staff had decorated a meeting room with balloons and a lovely Birthday poster with just a lovely photo of Mum. All the grandchildren were made welcome too. Celebrating this landmark Birthday well had been a worry for me so it is

My experience with the care home is of a high standard. My father is treated with respect and dignity from the well looked after regarding cleanliness, food available and entertainment-wise.
This is a safe environment and any issues are notified quickly. Would definitely recommend.

All staff are very friendly and happy and very nice place, the only thing that is wrong is the room is not clean well at all. My mum loves it there and it is very secure there, that is a good thing. The food there is nice and fresh made by staff.

I was worried about going to Lime Court it was a big step. I had no reason for this as it is lovely. The staff are very helpful nothing is too much trouble no matter what time assistance is needed. The food is always freshly cooked and tasty. Washing is done daily so you never run short of clothes.
Medication is given when due. It is one big family and very happy as can be.

The home is super welcoming and friendly. The staff are so attentive to the needs of my father. They are kind and caring and the whole home and team make you so welcome when I am visiting. I know my father is safe and well looked after in there. I cannot praise the home and management team enough for

My father moved into Lime Court in February, he has dementia and struggled to adapt to his new environment. All staff were extremely kind and understanding, which has assisted him to adapt to his new home. I was kept fully in the loop with information and changes to his behaviour and felt reassured
by staff that they would find a way to manage and support him with his transition into full-time care. The manager is present and available to talk to when required. I feel a weight has been lifted from my shoulders as I know he is being cared for.

Lime court staff make this care home a safe and friendly environment. I was reluctant at first as you can hear some terrible things about the stigmata of care homes but my fears were soon put to rest. My father is happier now than he has been since the passing of my mother. Lime Court is truly a diamond
in the rough there are newer homes out there but you would be very hard-pressed to find one with such excellent care.

My dad has recently moved into Lime Court and settled in very well. The staff are friendly, and the home is very clean. Management is very approachable and my dad is taking part in activities I never thought he would. My dad is very happy.
