Lime Court is a 44-bed care home, including four double rooms, spread over two floors, with lift access and five separate themed lounges. The home specialises in dementia and care for elderly people, situated near the seafront and within easy reach of local shops and amenities of Dovercourt.

The home has a six bed private wing with en-suites which was opened in October 2012. The purpose-built care home offers a superb lifestyle for its residents with a reputation in the community for the warmth of the staff and the care provided.

Lime Court are very proud that it was the pilot for the Food First programme, which alleviates the need of medicated supplements. Residents enjoy their meals in a well-lit, spacious central dining room, and menus are tailored to residents requests. Feedback is sought from residents about any changes.

A central recreational courtyard area (accessible by wheelchair users), with raised beds, is enjoyed by residents and families, along with a side garden and large patio area. Together, staff, family and friends have created a reminiscence lounge with items from the early 1900's to present day.

The care home receives regular visits from hairdressers, opticians, chiropodists and a therapist who offers massages in a sensory room. A full time activity coordinator arranges activities which include regular outings to local attractions, live entertainment, knitting clubs, card clubs, bingo, pet therapy, plus many more. If there are specific requests for activities these are accommodated.

I can not praise Lime Court strongly enough. My mum was only there for a short time before she passed away but they treated her like family (and myself). My mum was at end of life and all I can say is they treated her with compassion, dignity and love right up to the very end. For the last three days,
I was at her side constantly. They not only took care of my mum but of me too. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum was never left alone, even for my toilet breaks, someone would sit with her, holding her hand and talking to her. They made sure she wasn't in pain and that she was positioned comfy in the bed. One of the senior carers spent two and a half hours on hold, on the telephone to get her the pain relief/doctor required!
My mum was so happy there and even in death, they treated her with love and compassion. No better way could I wish for my mum to pass than in her own bed, at Lime Court, being looked after by people who really care. All the staff are angels!

My mum has been in Lime Court for a few months now, but this is now her home.
The carers and admin are absolutely amazing and always happy to help.
They always make time for my dad when he goes to visit my mum which is so nice.

I would like to thank Lime Court for the wonderful care they provided for my mother. Thank you for keeping her safe and making her final days comfortable and dignified. You are a great team. Your facilities are excellent providing a spectrum of activities to suit all. The Care Home is spotless and the
carers will always go that extra mile. You treat your patients with the dignity they deserve. The food always looks good and inviting. Although mum was reluctant to move to Lime Court almost a year ago, she accepted that she needed extra help. The staff at the care home couldn't have done more to make her feel welcome, their attention to all the little details that make her life more comfortable is excellent.
I always find the staff
available at any time to discuss mum's care and appreciate their updates.

Lime Court always goes above and beyond my expectations. I was so surprised when I found out my mum had been invited to a Platinum Jubilee Party in the village she used to live. Lime Court made sure she attended and had a carer go with her to look after her. I tell my friends Lime Court is like being
on holiday, there are so many activities throughout the week and the staff are always smiling.

I was reluctant to put my husband into care due to bad stories I had heard, I asked about and was recommended to Lime Court, I took the chance and had my husband put into their care, it was the best decision I had made, they really look after my husband taking a lot of stress off of myself, every time
I go I ask my husband if he's happy and he says yes and does not want to leave. The staff have been fantastic catering to my husband's needs, I can't thank them enough.

I am the external link for a resident at Lime Court for some 4 years. Prior to his admittance, he had lost the ability to take proper care of himself but since being in Lime Court he has established a good relationship with the staff and management and enjoys his surroundings and the level of care given
and has had his confidence level lifted. From my viewpoint, I have always found the staff to be welcoming and the management are always willing to discuss any needs and will always advise you on any health concerns that may occur. The home is always kept clean and he enjoys all his meals and support.

My dad has dementia and as a family, we struggled with the concept of a home for him. He loves everything about Lime Court and is socialising in a way he never has before. His whole demeanor is amazing and he loves all of the care staff. I have no doubt my dad is well cared for.

Mum was in Lime Court Care Home for nearly 2 years. At first, I thought the bedrooms were basic but they were clean and tidy and I soon realised that the excellent standard of care was far more important.
There was always a full programme of activities going on around her to stimulate her plus 1-1
sessions. This continued during lockdowns via Zoom/tablets etc.
Lockdowns were hard for all of us but we managed with phone calls, letters, and Facetime then window visits, pod visits then outside visits in the summers. It was good to be able to visit inside last month within the guidelines. The staff were always on hand to help with all the visiting requirements. Thank you for keeping everyone safe.
If I ever had any queries/problems the Managers had an open-door policy.
Mum passed away this month. She died peacefully with dignity in her own bed. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They supported all mum's family too.
Thank you all for giving mum the best end of life care possible.

My mum stayed here for a few months during the summer due to a flood making her living conditions at home temporarily unsuitable. I can’t fault the care she received during her time at Lime Court. All of the staff made a real fuss of her and every time we called up the office staff were so personable
and helpful. Unfortunately government guidelines in place at the time meant mum had to isolate for 2 weeks with no visitors to begin with. During this time the staff went above and beyond to ensure we could still have as much contact as possible. FaceTime calls were set up daily and we were welcomed to call just to check in as often as we liked, nothing was too much trouble. I really do feel that every member of staff genuinely cares about each resident as an individual.

Lime Court is the most amazing, caring place. They looked after my dad, which should have been a transition to coming home. They fought for his care, gave him his dignity, sat with him and cared for him in a way we would have. The care and compassion they showed to my dad were above and beyond what
I expected.
Unfortunately, he ended up on palliative care and died at Lime Court surrounded by his family and the most caring and nurturing staff you could ever ask for.
This was a very difficult time for us, but they were always there for all of us.
I would not have wished for him to die, but this was the perfect place for it to happen.
I want to thank Lime Court and its amazing staff; I will never forget the care and support you gave to us all.

Lime court staff were incredibly caring and supportive of both ourselves and more importantly our relative. We live some distance away and all the staff were brilliant with our telephone calls and keeping us updated. Lime Court has a very warm, friendly atmosphere. Even with COVID restrictions, we were
made welcome. Our relatives stay may have been short, but she couldn't have been in better hands.

My dad was looked after extremely well in the short time that he was there. All staff were so caring and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. It was so nice to know you could phone at anytime just to have updates on Dad, and to be able to visit Dad when he became extremely poorly due to his illness
- was just excellent. I would definitely recommend Lime Court.

Following an excellent stay here by my mum a couple of years ago (which she really enjoyed) my dad has now been here for about a month having some respite care.
I can't praise Lime Court enough - the staff here are all absolutely lovely and really pleasant to deal with. They do a ton of things to
keep residents entertained (which I know my dad is loving after a long time of living alone with minimal contact with the outside world) and their care and attention to residents are very genuine.
They treat residents with utmost respect and dignity and take any challenges (e.g. resident needs) in their stride, and as well as being lovely; they're also all incredibly professional and experts in their field.
Thank you to all the staff at Lime Court, thanks to you, I know my dad is being cared for and looked after by great people in a great environment.
