I received two weeks of respite care after an operation. The first week I needed a lot of extra help. All the staff treated me with kindness and dignity, whatever problems they were facing. I was encouraged to eat again and to take some gentle exercise to start my recovery. My thanks to everyone.

I have peace of mind knowing my mother is being very well cared for; she is safe and very well looked after. The lovely, caring staff at this home are first-class. They always keep me up to date, for example, if Mum's medication changes or if there is ever a problem; they are on the phone with me straight away.

I would rate this care home very highly for the care and consideration they gave my mother whilst she was there.
Her stay although brief was during the Covid pandemic lockdown.
At this time the visits were limited to window, video or pod but were easy to arrange by simply a telephone call. Rooms were clean and Mum was able to take in some of the furniture she had when she lived in her own flat.
Staff were very caring, helpful and were available to discuss any needs the family or my mother had. When it wasn't possible to speak directly to a particular person they would take a message and normally return the call that day.

This care home gets my recommendation.

I went to see my mum today. First time since lockdown, so it's been almost 5-months since I saw Mum. Madelayne Court has done a fantastic job during that time; I have felt very confident in all they have done, my mum was very happy and content. The staff are all such wonderful, caring people. Couldn't improve on Madelayne Court Care at all. Thank you to everyone.

My mum has recently moved to Madelayne Court. I had a few forms for Mum to sign, I called beforehand to ask if I was ok to pop up to Madelayne Court and give a letter to a member of staff for Mum to sign while I waited outside due to Covid-19, the member of staff was very helpful. I have nothing but praise for all the staff at Madelayne Court, they do a wonderful job looking after my mum and all the other residents and they give me and my family peace of mind.

When I initially looked for a care home for my mother, I had a good feeling about the place. In the two and a half years that my mother was resident there, I have been given no reason to criticise the care she received. The staff have always been helpful, friendly and informative. My mother, as well as other residents I observed, were clean and relaxed and I know my mother was happy during her stay. I have already recommended Madelayne Court to people who have asked me.

I am very satisfied with the treatment Mum receives. The staff are all lovely, and Mum is very happy here. I am kept informed of any problems, and if she needs to see a Doctor, I am always informed of the outcome.
With the present problems in the Country, I receive weekly emails keeping us up to date with the situation and can speak to Mum on the telephone.
Food is satisfactory.

The main thing is Mum is very happy and loves being there.

Overall Experience
My Aunt was a resident here for 12 months. I am a retired Nursing Home manager with 15 years experience so I knew what I wanted for my Aunt. Madelayne Court met all my requirements. The home was always very clean and not once was there an unpleasant odour anywhere in the home. Most of the staff, including housekeeping and maintenance, were very polite and friendly. My Aunt was usually nicely dressed and care had gone into the choice of clothing so that is was coordinated/matching. The care staff were very kind and compassionate and very caring. The care team leaders were attentive and listened to any concerns I raised and then dealt with them quickly. Communication from the care team was excellent. I was informed when my Aunt was unwell and what the team had done about it.

My Aunt ate well and the menus were varied. Drinks were available to the residents throughout the day. Although my Aunt was unable to express herself, I knew she was happy at Madelayne Court.

My mother has been a resident at Madelayne Court Care Home for over three years and as a family, we continue to be very satisfied with the service we have received and my mother's care and well-being have been a priority for the team. We were delighted to be able to have Christmas dinner with her again (Dec 2019). The food was excellent and the atmosphere perfectly enhanced with decorations, music, table centres and the carers proved excellent waitresses! Additional Christmas activities including the visits from local school to sing carols to the residents and Christmas fete was very well organised and much appreciated.

On a more day to day basis, the home strives to give the best of care and everyone works hard to ensure all needs are met. Unexpected absences of staff are often covered by carers coming in on their days off illustrating the commitment of individuals. TCM's are highly efficient and prove to be very adaptable, taking on any role that circumstances require. The administrative staff are very approachable and welcoming and again are highly supportive of the residents and relatives. The home is always clean and a credit to the housekeeping team and the catering team achieve pleasing dishes. All in all, we feel pleased that we selected this care home for our mother.
