Having visited my relative at least once a week she has been here since Dec 2016. I have found most of the staff caring and helpful most of the time. I have attended some of the relative meetings held each month and found them useful, general problems are missing laundry/clothes etc the major problem
I had, the carers did try to rectify but when I met with management the problem was dealt with on the day!!
A happy atmosphere is always met with a smile or hello from all workers. The best room is the tea room called "Sweet Memories" for visitors to chat with residents lovely!

We don't think that there is a perfect care home at the moment in England.
Madelayne Court, we think, is as good as it gets. The staff are, on the whole, excellent and very caring.
Unfortunately, as is with care homes, staff turnover is high but the new recruits seem to come in and do their best.
The food is pretty reasonable and the menus are posted weekly, so we can monitor what is being eaten by our relative. When we have had any problems they have been sorted out fairly quickly.

My mother was admitted into Madelayne Court in Chelmsford nearly 19 months ago after suffering from a major stroke. She was also getting dementia.
The affection, love and care that mum was given was absolutely brilliant. Lovely, kind, caring staff. The homes standard for cleanliness is absolutely brilliant.
Come to the end of her life, she was treated with absolute dignity. Mum liked it there. Gret all round.

I would like to commend the staff of Madelayne Court for the standard of care they showed my husband until he sadly passed away at the end of January. The staff were so attentive and went above and beyond their duty of care. They were always welcoming to myself and my family. I would like to say
a big thank you for making his last few weeks comfortable.

My mother has been cared for at Madalayne Court for the past eight months, during that time she has had wonderful care and attention. The staff have paid attention to her own particular likes and needs. The whole property is clean, well maintained and always open for visits whenever we wish to see mum.
The staff are fantastic all of them cheerfully acknowledge mum as they pass by. This has made such a possibly difficult time for the family so much easier to bear and we are truly grateful and thank them whole heartedly.

I started at Madelayne Court as a carer in 2012, and now I’m the Administrator of the home.


The best thing about my job is that I get to meet new families as they come in, and my door is always open for staff and families to have a chat with.


The award I have won is Employee of the Month for December 2023, and I was very overwhelmed by this award.


A fun fact about me is that growing up, I used to live in Papua New Guinea, which is just above Australia.


In my spare time, I enjoy meeting up with my family, going on the back of my husband's motorbike, and watching movies.

The thing I like most about my job is being a part of the team and making a difference to not only the residents but the families, too.


Fun fact about me: the first time I went on a plane was in my 30s.
