I can only say good things about The Medows. The staff are so friendly not just to the patients but also to family members, they really care. The place is spotlessly clean always with beautiful gardens. They also have been so helpful throughout the whole COVID thing.
In my bok, 10/10.

My husband has been spending two weeks at The Mellows in respite care. I have found all the members of staff that I have spoken to very helpful and friendly. It was very difficult leaving my husband in a care home, he is only 69 but I feel now more confident that he will be receiving the best care
and would be happy to use their respite facilities again. They are also very safety conscious regarding covid 19 regulations.

My mother was here for two years and the family was very happy with the standard of care.
Everyone did their best to keep her happy and well looked after.
Mother often commented on the care given by all staff.

My mother went to live at The Mellows in December 2019 when she became unable to care for herself at the age of 100. She took a while to settle in, but the staff were invariably kind and caring, even though she could be difficult. Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, the family were not able to visit as
much as we wanted to, despite every effort from the staff to make visits safe.
She received high-quality care the whole time she was there, eventually passing away on 3rd January 2021, just after her 102nd birthday.

My dad had dementia and had reached the point where he was not able to care for himself, even with home visits four times a day.
I reluctantly decided that the time had come where he needed full-time care, and put my dad in full-time residential care at the same care home he had stayed in for a couple
of weeks while we adapted his home.
The reason for choosing The Mellows was the excellent care he had received during his previous time there.
My dad spent his final year in The Mellows and I could not be happier with the care he received. The carers really do care about the residents and treat them as individuals with dignity, respect, tenderness and patience.
The Mellows is clean, friendly and efficiently run. They are very happy for friends and family to visit and spend time with their loved ones.
I am sad that my dad's dementia stopped him from staying in his own home, but am so glad that he spent his final days being cared for, and treated with dignity and respect.

The building is kept spotless, the rooms are cleaned, bedding changed, residents are washed, dressed (shaved), and have bright rooms to spend their time in. Furniture replaced before it needed to be, and the carers really care for the residents. I have seen many nursing/care/sheltered facilities previously
and this one is an example of how it should be in all of the ones I have visited previously, in my opinion.

My mother spent the last 4 years of her life at The Mellows. She was very happy and found the staff very caring. She also enjoyed the meals.
As she became frailer she became more dependent on the staff who cared for her very well. I was very relieved that she was able to stay in her familiar surroundings
until she died. I understand this is the homes' policy if at all possible. As I lived over 100 miles away, it was a great relief that she was so well cared for.

My mum recently passed but was in The Mellows for 3 years. Her health and general wellbeing were transformed during this time, she had been very unwell and not coping on her own. The staff were wonderful and she had a great relationship with them. I am extremely grateful for the care and affection she
was given during her last days.

My father was in The Mellows for 5 months prior to his death and from the date my
mother died - they were very accommodating taking him the day of my mother’s death (he was already known to them as had spent time there in respite).

I live in Kent so visited fortnightly - the accommodation was

spotlessly clean and the food always looked very good. Plenty of care staff on hand at all times - especially in the communal area - keeping a watch on people needing toilet facilities or making sure those with mobility issues were always helped.

My dad had dementia but I was happy in the knowledge that he was being well looked after by such caring staff.

I would recommend The Mellows without hesitation.

I find the staff at The Mellows very kind and caring.
They try very hard with circumstances why the residents are in the home.
I would like to see more resident activities with the dementia residents but do totally understand how difficult this can be.

The care home staff are always friendly and accommodating. They demonstrate a good understanding of my mother's needs which can be difficult for them at times. The home is always clean and tidy. I feel very confident that my mother is receiving very good care and she tells me she is happy living in
The Mellows.
I would recommend The Mellows to anybody trying to place their loved one in a care home.

My mum has advanced Parkinsons disease and has good and bad days. Yesterday was a bad day and a member of staff noticed that she wanted to eat her lunch but was struggling to do so due to her condition. She patiently sat with her and fed her, not only did she feed her but she did it with patience, not
rushing her but calmly and with care. These little gestures mean so much to someone elderly and I as her daughter am very grateful that there are people out there who take the time when doing a difficult job.

Thanks
