I visit my wife several times a week. When the weather was warmer I sometimes took her into the park. At other times, I would read to her, in the conservatory or her room, or sit looking into the park watching the birds and the occasional squirrel, or the children in the playground. We would be offered tea or coffee, and biscuits. Or we would just sit and talk, and reminisce.

Park View is an excellent place. The staff and management treat residents with care, respect and dignity. They are so patient and engage my mother even when she is having a difficult period. They encourage and never give up and are always happy and cheerful. I can turn up at any time and always find a cheerful atmosphere. I am happy to know that my mother is well cared for and in a good place.

My wife has been in Park View for 9 months and naturally it took some time to settle. She has been well cared for by ever cheerful staff. She now stays in her room mainly, I think, due to the lack of communication with other residents with most having dementia. Her main complaint often mentioned is how bland the food is. She loves spicy food whereas most elderly do not and the chef has to cook for the majority. The main thing is she is in a safe environment.

Initially chosen for the friendly, welcoming atmosphere when we brought our mother here in 2014, we are pleased that this has remained so over time and that my mother is so well cared for.

I have always found Park View to be a first class residential home. The staff are always kind and caring towards the residents. The home itself is very well run and the hygiene and care are excellent. My mother has been in care for a number of years and I feel that she would not be with us if not for the care that she has received. Well done to Park View and all of its staff.

It has been a very difficult and upsetting time putting mum into a care home- but Park View has been very patient with mum and she now appears to have accepted the change and is content. This has put our minds at rest and feel the best decision was made and we have nothing but praise for the home and most importantly the staff.

I've been very pleased with the way Park View have cared for my mother and she is very happy there. I looked at a number of other care homes and found this one was the best for my mother. The staff are all very caring and always have time to chat with the residents.

I have been treated so kindly since coming to Park View. Being diabetic, there have been a few problems trying to sort a diet which suits me but every care is taken to assist with this. There is truthfully not one member of staff who has ever upset me in any way. It helps when everyone is so friendly and helpful. If I could not spend Xmas with family, I'm sure here would be fine.

Hello, my name is Diane, and I am the Lifestyle Coordinator here at Park View Care Home.

I have had the pleasure of working at Park View for 18 years, and during that time, I’ve built such strong, meaningful relationships with both our residents and their families. My role is all about making sure that every day is enjoyable, engaging, and tailored to each individual.

I organise and lead a wide range of activities within the home, from group sessions like games, music, and arts and crafts, to more personal one-to-one time for residents who prefer a quieter approach. For me, it’s not just about keeping people busy; it’s about helping residents feel happy, valued, and connected. Whether that’s through laughter, reminiscing, or trying something new, I aim to create a warm and positive environment where everyone feels included.

I’m very proud to be part of the Park View family and to play a role in making each day special for our residents.
