To all at Redbond Lodge who took such excellent care of my mum. Thank you. I am truly humbled at the impact my mum had on the people around her. She settled very quickly, loved her room, having her hair cut, having a laugh. She did have a wicked sense of humour! She was very happy and that is due to
all of you exceptional lovely people who gave and gave such compassion, dignity and love. The day of Mum’s passing was one of the hardest, saddest days of my life, but the support I was given and are still given by all of you got me through those first raw hours. I wish I could tell Mum of her journey leaving Redbond for the last time. I was overwhelmed by the support, compassion and emotion shown to a lady who was only with you for a very short time. I will treasure that going forward.
I know my mum was a wonderful lady, I am so pleased you all got to know her that way too.

I cannot rate the home high enough. The care that is given to Mum is outstanding. All the staff are exceptional.
The home is always clean and tidy.
All the residents seem happy, including Mum.

My mum is always very happy when we arrive and has her favourite spots to sit in. The home is bright, airy and all staff are so welcoming and happy. The gardens are lovely. We've just finished eating a very nice dinner with Mum. The staff are all so friendly, family-orientated and have a great sense

When you walk in the door at Redbond Lodge, it is so clean and welcoming. The management and staff are friendly, kind and caring. There are plenty of activities to get involved in if you want to. All the residents are extremely well cared for and there is no better place for Mum to be.

My mother has been living with you at Redbond Lodge for the last 3 years. Each time we visit the home we are extremely impressed with the pleasant atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and the home itself is very clean and nicely presented. My mother recently celebrated a very big birthday
and the staff at Redbond made sure to make her feel special on her big day.

My mother arrived at Redbond Lodge in December. She has mixed dementia and was no longer able to live at home. From the day she arrived, she has been made to feel welcome, comfortable and respected. The staff are wonderful and the manager's leadership is outstanding. Mummy adores the activities and
variety of things to do. She is engaged and I am confident she is safe. I am kept informed and special thanks to the office staff for making the process so smooth.

Redbond Lodge Care Home have always shown compassion, and understanding for Mum's needs. Nothing has been too much trouble, always keep me/us as a family informed about Mum's well-being.
This review is to show our appreciation for the home when we all plus Mum wanted some private space/room to celebrate
Mum's birthday in December. We were allocated a communal room to allow us to do this.

Mum was only at Redbond for 7 weeks but during that time she was so happy. She made friends and the staff were so lovely to her. The manager was really supportive when Mum passed away as were all the staff.

Our mum lived in Redbond Lodge Care Home for just over four years, until her death from Alzheimer's disease in October 2023. We can't thank the manager and whole staff team enough for the care, kindness and respect that they gave her over this time. It was her home in all senses of the word and they
became her extended family. They supported her on her dementia journey, enabling her to participate as much as possible. She was so happy. We visited regularly and never saw her suffer anxiety or stress during her time there. We couldn't have wished for more.
The team also supported us, as her family. We can't thank the manager enough for her communication with us and for her gently guiding us through Mum's final months, helping us to access services to ensure Mum's final care plan was in place for when she needed it. They were with us, together with her, on her final day. We will be forever grateful to them. Truly amazing people doing a phenomenal job.

When we brought our mum in for the first time at Redbond Lodge in December 2022, the staff were very friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble, which has continued. Mum has settled in well. The family are all happy with Redbond Lodge, knowing she is cared for in the best possible way.

Mum has improved dramatically since she came from the hospital six weeks ago. She seems to be very happy every time we visit. The carers are extremely helpful and caring, as are all staff. All staff members have been amazing and have gone above and beyond to meet my grandad's needs and also supported us, as a family, in the adjustment, which can be challenging emotionally.
Throughout, as a family, we have always felt welcome on arrival and throughout our visit, as though we are part

We are always having regular updates when required which is reassuring to us, as a family.

As a family, we are extremely pleased with the care my dad is receiving - everyone is interacting with him and going out of their way to get to know him as a person and what he likes doing. We, as a family, have been made to feel at home and can come and go as we please.
He loves walking and being
outside which the staff are accommodating when possible. We feel good in the knowledge that Dad is safe and well cared for.

My mum has been here since August after a fall. She has settled in so well and joins in the activities and has been on a couple of day trips, which is wonderful and also to see on social media.
Everyone I have spoken to or had dealings with has been amazing and so helpful.
When I visit, everyone
is so friendly, and all the residents seem so happy.

Welcome to Redbond Lodge! My name is Raquel and I am the Home Manager of our lovely home. I moved to the UK in 2008 and started my career in the United Kingdom. I joined Runwood Homes in November 2008 in different roles from Healthcare Assistant, Care Team Leader, and Deputy Manager from 2012 until I decided to take a big responsibility as a Home Manager at Redbond Lodge. I strongly believe that Customer Service is a key priority, as is building up the home’s residents, families, relatives, and friends and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of the care home. Redbond Lodge is such a lovely home with a good reputation in the community. I want to continue to build on that for more people to see it as the place to be. Furthermore, I want to ensure that the team feel valued and that they all have the training and support needed to do their very best. I love my team and deeply appreciate their hardworking commitment to their role. I feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful, caring team who are dedicated to maintaining the safety well-being and the best quality of life of all our residents. I hold an NVQ Level 3 and take great pride in my role. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and, of course, irritating my husband—something I’m quite excellent at!

My name is Marie. I have proudly served as Head Housekeeper at Redbond Lodge for 12 years. My role goes beyond maintaining a clean and welcoming environment—I am deeply committed to supporting our residents and staff whenever they need me.


I am a certified Dementia Champion, and completing the course was both enlightening and rewarding. I especially enjoy participating in musical activities at the Redbond Lodge, where I love getting everyone up and dancing, creating moments of joy and connection.


Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family and grandchildren, who bring so much happiness to my life.

Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am the Home Administrator at Redbond Lodge, a position I have proudly held for the past three years. My journey in care began over 30 years ago as a healthcare assistant. Over the years, I progressed to a team leader role, always feeling a strong pullback to the care sector. Supporting residents, relatives, and staff brings immense fulfilment, and I am passionate about creating a nurturing and supportive environment.


Redbond Lodge is often complimented on its warm and friendly atmosphere, a quality I deeply value and take pride in contributing to every day.


Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors walking our dog, travelling to new places, getting lost in a good book, and immersing myself in music.

I truly enjoy interacting with our residents and their families, making sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. Outside of work, I’m passionate about staying active. I hold a green belt in karate and love staying fit through various physical activities. When I'm not working, you’ll often find me enjoying a good movie at the cinema or taking peaceful walks in the countryside.

Hi, I’m Karen, and I’ve been the Lifestyle Coordinator at Redbond Lodge for two and a half years. My passion lies in making our residents feel valued by organising meaningful activities that bring purpose and joy to their day.


I’m fortunate to work with amazing colleagues who make every day rewarding. While Christmas isn’t my favourite time of year, I do bring my own fun and quirky energy to the job—some might say I’m as mad as a hatter!


In my spare time, I love indulging in DIY projects and crafts, letting my creativity shine outside of work.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

My name is Alina, and I began my journey with Runwood Homes in 2016, starting as a Care Assistant. From the very beginning, I knew that working in elderly care was more than just a job—it was something I was deeply passionate about.


Before joining Runwood, I had already gained early experience in elderly care, which gave me a strong foundation in supporting older individuals with compassion, patience, and respect. This early exposure helped me build the skills and confidence needed to understand the complex and unique needs of every resident.


Since joining the team, I have worked hard, shown dedication, and always strived to go above and beyond to ensure residents feel safe, valued, and cared for. Over time, I progressed to the role of Care Team Leader, where I took on more responsibility in leading shifts, supporting my colleagues, and ensuring high standards of care were maintained throughout the home.


Recently, I was proud to step into my new role as Deputy Manager. This position allows me to continue my hands-on involvement with residents while also helping to guide and support the wider team. I take great pride in leading by example and creating a positive, person-centred environment where staff feel supported and residents feel truly at home.


What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Whether it’s through providing personal care, emotional support, or simply sharing a smile, I believe that every act of kindness matters.


I look forward to continuing my journey with Runwood Homes, growing professionally, and always working hard to meet the needs of those we care for.
