Redbond Lodge

My mother has been living with you at Redbond Lodge for the last 3 years. Each time we visit the home we are extremely impressed with the pleasant atmosphere. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and the home itself is very clean and nicely presented. My mother recently celebrated a very big birthday and the staff at Redbond made sure to make her feel special on her big day.

My mother arrived at Redbond Lodge in December. She has mixed dementia and was no longer able to live at home. From the day she arrived, she has been made to feel welcome, comfortable and respected. The staff are wonderful and the manager's leadership is outstanding. Mummy adores the activities and variety of things to do. She is engaged and I am confident she is safe. I am kept informed and special thanks to the office staff for making the process so smooth.

I am happy here. I don't rate the food. Small amounts. Not like where I was. It is presented nicely. We are cared for well. Rooms are clean.

I've been living in Redbond Lodge for nearly 2 years. I have found the service to be good.

This review is to show our appreciation for the home when we all plus Mum wanted some private space/room to celebrate Mum's birthday in December. We were allocated a communal room to allow us to do this.

Mum was only at Redbond for 7 weeks but during that time she was so happy. She made friends and the staff were so lovely to her. The manager was really supportive when Mum passed away as were all the staff.

The team also supported us, as her family. We can't thank the manager enough for her communication with us and for her gently guiding us through Mum's final months, helping us to access services to ensure Mum's final care plan was in place for when she needed it. They were with us, together with her, on her final day. We will be forever grateful to them. Truly amazing people doing a phenomenal job.

When we brought our mum in for the first time at Redbond Lodge in December 2022, the staff were very friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble, which has continued. Mum has settled in well. The family are all happy with Redbond Lodge, knowing she is cared for in the best possible way.

Since Nan arrived here, she has been very content and at ease. Her health has improved, and the care given to her is excellent. The activities are wonderful and varied with lots of thought. We are delighted with Redbond and the staff here and feel fortunate that she is so comfortable spending her days here.

Mum has improved dramatically since she came from the hospital six weeks ago. She seems to be very happy every time we visit. The carers are extremely helpful and caring, as are all staff. We are, as a family, so relieved that Mum is able to spend the rest of her time here at Redbond Lodge. We are so thankful for all the help and support from everyone.

The staff are always interactive and want to get to know my grandad and what makes him happy. We can't thank you all enough.

He loves walking and being outside which the staff are accommodating when possible. We feel good in the knowledge that Dad is safe and well cared for.

All I can say is a massive thank you.

Mother is not really into any activities, so hard to judge them.

My aunt was sent to Redbond Lodge for intermediate care after numerous falls leading to a hospital visit. We have found the staff throughout the home, from the manager to the office staff to the carers and cleaners to be friendly, kind and very helpful. Everyone, without exception, has made us and our aunt feel welcome. The home is kept very clean in both communal and residents' own rooms, and the gardens are well looked after and have been enjoyed over the summer. We've also been given guidance and support when dealing with social services, which has been a massive help. Thank you all.

I am so pleased and grateful for the fantastic way that my mother is cared for. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they always look out for my mum. She has formed a strong attachment to some of the staff, which makes her more settled. They know that I like her to still look nice, and they always dress her as she still looks like she used to. I would hate it if she ever had to move elsewhere.

We are happy with the care provided at Redbond Lodge Care Home. If any issues occur they are dealt with promptly and actions agreed for a way forward. Certain staff have acted above and beyond their duty which I have always advised management so they can give them the praise required.

I have nothing but good words for the staff and everyone who works here.
