We have been very lucky to find such a wonderful home for my Aunt. It's very clean and welcoming with lots to offer and supporting independence. I love it that my Aunt has her own door number with her name on it. The garden is a beautiful, peaceful environment and I love the working in partnership we
have, seeing photos and supporting each other to give her the best she deserves.

My mum has been a resident of Redbond Lodge since early 2021 and was admitted during the pandemic, so not an easy time. The standard of care is superb. The manager and staff are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond with the care and attention they provide to residents and families to make both
parties feel at home. Even during the pandemic as a new resident they arranged regular video calls etc. My mum has been unwell a few times since joining the home but has been looked after so well. Also, I have been kept really well informed by the staff. I would thoroughly recommend this home. It is clean, tidy, friendly and caring. If I ever need to go into care I would want to go to Redbond Lodge.

Mum came into the home after a three weeks stay in the hospital as she was very confused and anxious. In the short time, she has been a resident, she has made much improvement, but at 92, realised she was too frail to go home, and as she feels so safe and well cared for has decided to stay permanently.
The staff go over and above with their attention to both residents and their families and make you feel very much "at home".

My mum recently passed away peacefully at Redbond Lodge after being cared for there for nearly four years. She had Alzheimer's Vascular Dementia and type 2 Diabetes.
The staff at Redbond are an amazing team of hard-working people who genuinely care about the residents they look after. Mum lost the
ability to speak or walk but observing her interaction with her carers gave me such comfort as I could see she responded well to them. They obviously got her to know her well during her time there and knew what she would and would not like.
During mum's last few days I was able to stay with her and I can't thank the Manager and her team for looking after mum, myself and her family with such kindness.

Our mum has been a resident of Redbond lodge, since January 2020. We have been very happy with the care she has received. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday (11/11/2020) and we cannot thank the staff enough for helping to make her day so special.

I highly recommend Redbond Lodge, my mum has been here for 8 years, she is well looked after and cared for. The care staff are professional and welcoming. Although I am unable to see mum I have had garden visits. I am kept fully informed about the home and mums progress. Redbond Lodge is also undergoing
so much needed renovations and I can't wait to see it.

My Mum is always well cared for and the staff take extra time with her needs. The staff care about their residents and this is evident in their communications with me about Mum. During the pandemic, it has been hard on all of us, but the Home has ensured we can Facetime and even sent a postcard. I enjoy
looking at the posts on Facebook and keeping in touch. Looking forward to when things 'go back to normal' and we can visit not only to see Mum but to see the staff.

I find this very difficult to write as my husband joined this home towards the end of March 2020, so I have not seen him or his room, or inside the home because of Covid-19, until last Friday, when we met in the garden.
All the contacts I have had by phone have been friendly and polite, despite their
pressures to look after all the residents to the best of their ability, despite staff off sick too.

My mother was extremely well looked after over the six years that Redbond was her home. She became very fond of lots of staff working there and was treated with kindness and consideration. Many of the staff going well above and beyond their job description. My mother was given extra support and care
through several illnesses and the loss of a close family member, in an individual and personal way which showed how well the staff at Redbond knew her. My father was also made very welcome as a very frequent visitor.

My dad has been at the home for 5-years this June. The care he receives is second to none, he loves the food and treats, but most of all, he loves the carers and the manager, who always makes him laugh even when he’s having an off day! The care and dedication he received when he has been poorly; is

My mum came to Redbond Lodge in January 2020. The staff settled mum in very well. The staff are very considerate to mums needs and are very well organised. Mum is very happy and our family are happy too.
The home is very clean and there is plenty of activities to do if your parent wants to get involved.
With Covid19 we are unable to see mum at the moment. But a member of staff video calls me a few times a week so I can see my mum and talk to her. Without this interaction, I would be lost as the calls keep me going and I can see my mum. Thank you so much to the Redbond staff for caring for our mum especially at these hard times.

So pleased that Mum is at Redbond Lodge. You couldn't find a kinder, nicer group of carers, especially at this difficult time. Knowing Mum is safe, and well looked after has reduced my stress levels considerably! Her room is lovely and bright, and she loves it.

My mum has been a resident now for 3 and a half years. All of the daytime staff that I have met are very patient with her as she has dementia. They try to integrate her into activities such as bingo, and she enjoys getting her hair done in the little salon there (extra charge). Since the lock-down,
they have been keeping the residents active, sharing cards from local schools and they gave each resident an Easter Egg. I was really appreciative of the fact that they took time out to let me video chat with my mum, as I haven't been able to visit for at least a month. Many of the carers there really seem to care about the residents as they would their own family.

This is the second time my dad has stayed in Redbond Lodge, the first being back in May 2019. I can’t say anything negative about the care he is receiving whilst on long term respite. The home manager, staff and well-being are so caring. Looking after his everyday needs.

My mother has been in Redbond Lodge for 7 months. It took her a while to settle but the caring staff have encouraged her and she is now interacting with others much better and is taking part in some activities. All the staff are very kind and helpful and the home always looks clean and well cared for.

My mother was in a care home in Eastbourne which was not particular easy for me to get to on a regular basis. I had also got somewhat uneasy with how the home seemed to have changed over the years. I moved her to Redbond Lodge. I was shocked at the changes in her. She has become happy and outgoing,
the interaction with the staff is totally different from her previous home. She has started to walk again, not far but who would expect that in a 98-year-old! She has physically and mentally improved in the time that she has been there. Nothing drastic but small significant changes. Redbond Lodge does not have the frills, etc. that my mothers far more expensive home had but it does have caring concerned informative staff. I can pop in and visit whenever I wish to, that was not the case with her previous home, they wished to know when you would be visiting.
I'm not saying Redbond Lodge is perfect but its almost as good as it gets.

My mother was nervous and confused on arrival but the carers were friendly, helpful, welcoming and have great communication skills and continue to show all of these abilities. Their kindness and patience with dementia are fabulous giving dignity and respect at all times. Mum is relaxed and happy now
and they monitor mum's medical condition well.

Welcome to Redbond Lodge! My name is Raquel and I am the Home Manager of our lovely home. I moved to the UK in 2008 and started my career in the United Kingdom. I joined Runwood Homes in November 2008 in different roles from Healthcare Assistant, Care Team Leader, and Deputy Manager from 2012 until I decided to take a big responsibility as a Home Manager at Redbond Lodge. I strongly believe that Customer Service is a key priority, as is building up the home’s residents, families, relatives, and friends and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of the care home. Redbond Lodge is such a lovely home with a good reputation in the community. I want to continue to build on that for more people to see it as the place to be. Furthermore, I want to ensure that the team feel valued and that they all have the training and support needed to do their very best. I love my team and deeply appreciate their hardworking commitment to their role. I feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful, caring team who are dedicated to maintaining the safety well-being and the best quality of life of all our residents. I’m Patricia, and I’ve been a Care Team Leader for nearly 10 years. I am also now currently Acting Deputy Manager. I love seeing the positive impact our home has on someone’s life. The efforts made by all staff members—from the care team to the domestics—are truly rewarding, and seeing the outcome of everyone’s hard work in our residents’ smiles makes it all worthwhile.
