Welcome to Redbond Lodge! My name is Raquel and I am the Home Manager of our lovely home. I moved to the UK in 2008 and started my career in the United Kingdom. I joined Runwood Homes in November 2008 in different roles from Healthcare Assistant, Care Team Leader, and Deputy Manager from 2012 until I decided to take a big responsibility as a Home Manager at Redbond Lodge. I strongly believe that Customer Service is a key priority, as is building up the home’s residents, families, relatives, and friends and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of the care home. Redbond Lodge is such a lovely home with a good reputation in the community. I want to continue to build on that for more people to see it as the place to be. Furthermore, I want to ensure that the team feel valued and that they all have the training and support needed to do their very best. I love my team and deeply appreciate their hardworking commitment to their role. I feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful, caring team who are dedicated to maintaining the safety well-being and the best quality of life of all our residents. Thank you for considering Redbond Lodge and we hope to see you soon!
I’m Patricia, and I’ve been a Care Team Leader for nearly 10 years. I love seeing the positive impact our home has on someone’s life. The efforts made by all staff members—from the care team to the domestics—are truly rewarding, and seeing the outcome of everyone’s hard work in our residents’ smiles makes it all worthwhile.
I hold an NVQ Level 3 and take great pride in my role. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and, of course, irritating my husband—something I’m quite excellent at!
My name is Marie. I have proudly served as Head Housekeeper at Redbond Lodge for 12 years. My role goes beyond maintaining a clean and welcoming environment—I am deeply committed to supporting our residents and staff whenever they need me.
I am a certified Dementia Champion, and completing the course was both enlightening and rewarding. I especially enjoy participating in musical activities at the Redbond Lodge, where I love getting everyone up and dancing, creating moments of joy and connection.
Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family and grandchildren, who bring so much happiness to my life.
Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am the Home Administrator at Redbond Lodge, a position I have proudly held for the past three years. My journey in care began over 30 years ago as a healthcare assistant. Over the years, I progressed to a team leader role, always feeling a strong pullback to the care sector. Supporting residents, relatives, and staff brings immense fulfilment, and I am passionate about creating a nurturing and supportive environment.
Redbond Lodge is often complimented on its warm and friendly atmosphere, a quality I deeply value and take pride in contributing to every day.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors walking our dog, travelling to new places, getting lost in a good book, and immersing myself in music.
Hi, I’m Sarah, and I’ve had the pleasure of working as a Receptionist at Redbond Lodge for 1 year and 8 months. I truly enjoy interacting with our residents and their families, making sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. My role gives me the opportunity to build strong connections, and I take great pride in providing excellent service.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about staying active. I hold a green belt in karate and love staying fit through various physical activities. When I'm not working, you’ll often find me enjoying a good movie at the cinema or taking peaceful walks in the countryside.
Hi, I’m Karen, and I’ve been the Lifestyle Coordinator at Redbond Lodge for two and a half years. My passion lies in making our residents feel valued by organising meaningful activities that bring purpose and joy to their day.
I’m fortunate to work with amazing colleagues who make every day rewarding. While Christmas isn’t my favourite time of year, I do bring my own fun and quirky energy to the job—some might say I’m as mad as a hatter!
In my spare time, I love indulging in DIY projects and crafts, letting my creativity shine outside of work.
My name is Alina, and I began my journey with Runwood Homes in 2016, starting as a Care Assistant. From the very beginning, I knew that working in elderly care was more than just a job—it was something I was deeply passionate about.
Before joining Runwood, I had already gained early experience in elderly care, which gave me a strong foundation in supporting older individuals with compassion, patience, and respect. This early exposure helped me build the skills and confidence needed to understand the complex and unique needs of every resident.
Since joining the team, I have worked hard, shown dedication, and always strived to go above and beyond to ensure residents feel safe, valued, and cared for. Over time, I progressed to the role of Care Team Leader, where I took on more responsibility in leading shifts, supporting my colleagues, and ensuring high standards of care were maintained throughout the home.
Recently, I was proud to step into my new role as Deputy Manager. This position allows me to continue my hands-on involvement with residents while also helping to guide and support the wider team. I take great pride in leading by example and creating a positive, person-centred environment where staff feel supported and residents feel truly at home.
What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Whether it’s through providing personal care, emotional support, or simply sharing a smile, I believe that every act of kindness matters.
I look forward to continuing my journey with Runwood Homes, growing professionally, and always working hard to meet the needs of those we care for.
