Visiting Redbond lodge over the last 10 years on a regular basis. I have always been impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the pristine cleanliness and fresh smelling atmosphere. At present I visit much more regularly to a close friend, also to take her out. The food is excellent and enjoyed by all.

Had a lovely visit with my mum. All the staff are very friendly. The home is looking very festive with Xmas trees in all the lounges and entry. Mum enjoyed looking at all the Xmas trees and lights.

Our Mum was a resident here from March 15 till November when she passed away. We found Redbond staff to be caring and professional and the Home was always clean and tidy and didn't smell. Mum was wheelchair bound and very frail, but Redbond told us that they would be able to look after her till end of life, which they did.

Redbond Lodge has proved to be a blessing with my Dad's dementia worsening over the four years he has been in the care home.
It is a warm, clean, friendly and safe environment for all the residents. Food is always home cooked with a varied menu every day.
The staff keep me informed of any issues regarding my Dad. It is managed extremely well by the Manager and her dedicated staff.

I can't thank them enough for their continued support to me as well.

Mum has been in here for over four years and in that time her dementia has worsened. The care she receives is second to none, and is adapted to suit her deteriorating condition. Redbond Lodge is a friendly, warm home and Mum is very happy here, with her room and most of all with the people who are here to look after her. It is a complete blessing that we found this home for her. Thank you all so much.

Overall Experience

Redbond Lodge is the best care home that I have visited.

The staff all seem caring and gentle with the residents and allow them the maximum of personal dignity in difficult circumstances. Management is excellent.

I'm regularly contacted with progress reports about my mother's health and care as she is now unable to communicate her wishes to staff.

I would particularly like to remark on the speed and effectiveness of clearing up any "accidents" leading to a fresh and clean environment at all times.

Racquel Cruz
Racquel CruzJob Title:Home Manager

Welcome to Redbond Lodge! My name is Raquel and I am the Home Manager of our lovely home. I moved to the UK in 2008 and started my career in the United Kingdom. I joined Runwood Homes in November 2008 in different roles from Healthcare Assistant, Care Team Leader, and Deputy Manager from 2012 until I decided to take a big responsibility as a Home Manager at Redbond Lodge. I strongly believe that Customer Service is a key priority, as is building up the home’s residents, families, relatives, and friends and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of the care home. Redbond Lodge is such a lovely home with a good reputation in the community. I want to continue to build on that for more people to see it as the place to be. Furthermore, I want to ensure that the team feel valued and that they all have the training and support needed to do their very best. I love my team and deeply appreciate their hardworking commitment to their role. I feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful, caring team who are dedicated to maintaining the safety well-being and the best quality of life of all our residents. Thank you for considering Redbond Lodge and we hope to see you soon!

I’m Patricia, and I’ve been a Care Team Leader for nearly 10 years. I am also now currently Acting Deputy Manager. I love seeing the positive impact our home has on someone’s life. The efforts made by all staff members—from the care team to the domestics—are truly rewarding, and seeing the outcome of everyone’s hard work in our residents’ smiles makes it all worthwhile.

I hold an NVQ Level 3 and take great pride in my role. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and, of course, irritating my husband—something I’m quite excellent at!

My name is Marie. I have proudly served as Head Housekeeper at Redbond Lodge for 12 years. My role goes beyond maintaining a clean and welcoming environment—I am deeply committed to supporting our residents and staff whenever they need me.

I am a certified Dementia Champion, and completing the course was both enlightening and rewarding. I especially enjoy participating in musical activities at the Redbond Lodge, where I love getting everyone up and dancing, creating moments of joy and connection.

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family and grandchildren, who bring so much happiness to my life.

Lisa Morgan
Lisa MorganJob Title:Home AdministratorJoined: 2021

Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am the Home Administrator at Redbond Lodge, a position I have proudly held for the past three years. My journey in care began over 30 years ago as a healthcare assistant. Over the years, I progressed to a team leader role, always feeling a strong pullback to the care sector. Supporting residents, relatives, and staff brings immense fulfilment, and I am passionate about creating a nurturing and supportive environment.

Redbond Lodge is often complimented on its warm and friendly atmosphere, a quality I deeply value and take pride in contributing to every day.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors walking our dog, travelling to new places, getting lost in a good book, and immersing myself in music.

Hi, I’m Sarah, and I’ve had the pleasure of working as a Receptionist at Redbond Lodge for 1 year and 8 months. I truly enjoy interacting with our residents and their families, making sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. My role gives me the opportunity to build strong connections, and I take great pride in providing excellent service.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about staying active. I hold a green belt in karate and love staying fit through various physical activities. When I'm not working, you’ll often find me enjoying a good movie at the cinema or taking peaceful walks in the countryside.

Karen Briggs
Karen BriggsJob Title:Lifestyle CoordinatorJoined: 2022

Hi, I’m Karen, and I’ve been the Lifestyle Coordinator at Redbond Lodge for two and a half years. My passion lies in making our residents feel valued by organising meaningful activities that bring purpose and joy to their day.

I’m fortunate to work with amazing colleagues who make every day rewarding. While Christmas isn’t my favourite time of year, I do bring my own fun and quirky energy to the job—some might say I’m as mad as a hatter!

In my spare time, I love indulging in DIY projects and crafts, letting my creativity shine outside of work.
