Mum was a resident at Redbond Lodge from April 16 to August 16 when she sadly passed away. During her time in residence there she received fantastic care from all the staff. They made her feel at home and took care of all her needs. She wanted for nothing. When she passed, they made sure it was with
dignity and I was able to be with her. They looked after me as well - tea, lunch etc so that all I had to do was be with Mum. I cannot thank them enough and will forever be grateful that Mums last months were spent in the care of such wonderful people.

My father spent 4 months at Redbond Lodge prior to passing away. He was extremely well cared for throughout his time there and the staff treated him with a great deal of compassion. My father needed a high level of care and all of the staff made a significant effort to make him as comfortable as possible.
The staff were very kind to all our family and allowed us to visit at all times of day and night. I really can't find enough words to describe how at home everyone made my dad feel and how they made his last weeks so peaceful.

When my Dad first arrived at Redbond he was apprehensive and anxious. All of the staff went out of their way to make him feel relaxed, comfortable and at home. They took the time to get to know him and nothing was ever too much trouble. We visited regularly and were always warmly welcomed. We were always
kept informed of any changes to his condition and felt that the staff always monitored him closely. I genuinely feel that he couldn't have been looked after any better and would like to thank all of the staff at Redbond for their care and compassion at this difficult time.

All the staff are very caring and nothing is too much. Very helpful and informed all the time about mum's care. When she was asleep the cleaner managed to clean quietly and efficiently without disturbing her. Not only do the staff care about the residents they also look after the relatives and this
is especially true when looking after mum as an end of life resident. They are so gentle when helping someone. I cannot praise or recommend Redbond Lodge enough. It was the best care home for my mum to be in right to the end of her life.

Visiting Redbond lodge over the last 10 years on a regular basis. I have always been impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the pristine cleanliness and fresh smelling atmosphere. At present I visit much more regularly to a close friend, also to take her out. The food is excellent and enjoyed
by all.

Had a lovely visit with my mum. All the staff are very friendly. The home is looking very festive with Xmas trees in all the lounges and entry. Mum enjoyed looking at all the Xmas trees and lights.

Our Mum was a resident here from March 15 till November when she passed away. We found Redbond staff to be caring and professional and the Home was always clean and tidy and didn't smell. Mum was wheelchair bound and very frail, but Redbond told us that they would be able to look after her till end
of life, which they did.

Redbond Lodge has proved to be a blessing with my Dad's dementia worsening over the four years he has been in the care home.
It is a warm, clean, friendly and safe environment for all the residents. Food is always home cooked with a varied menu every day.
The staff keep me informed of any issues
regarding my Dad. It is managed extremely well by the Manager and her dedicated staff.
I can't thank them enough for their continued support to me as well.

Mum has been in here for over four years and in that time her dementia has worsened. The care she receives is second to none, and is adapted to suit her deteriorating condition. Redbond Lodge is a friendly, warm home and Mum is very happy here, with her room and most of all with the people who are

Redbond Lodge is the best care home that I have visited.


The staff all seem caring and gentle with the residents and allow them the maximum of personal dignity in difficult circumstances. Management is excellent.


I'm regularly contacted with progress reports about my mother's health and care

as she is now unable to communicate her wishes to staff.


I would particularly like to remark on the speed and effectiveness of clearing up any "accidents" leading to a fresh and clean environment at all times.

Welcome to Redbond Lodge! My name is Raquel and I am the Home Manager of our lovely home. I moved to the UK in 2008 and started my career in the United Kingdom. I joined Runwood Homes in November 2008 in different roles from Healthcare Assistant, Care Team Leader, and Deputy Manager from 2012 until I decided to take a big responsibility as a Home Manager at Redbond Lodge. I strongly believe that Customer Service is a key priority, as is building up the home’s residents, families, relatives, and friends and understand the important contribution that these relationships make to the successful running of the care home. Redbond Lodge is such a lovely home with a good reputation in the community. I want to continue to build on that for more people to see it as the place to be. Furthermore, I want to ensure that the team feel valued and that they all have the training and support needed to do their very best. I love my team and deeply appreciate their hardworking commitment to their role. I feel privileged to be part of such a wonderful, caring team who are dedicated to maintaining the safety well-being and the best quality of life of all our residents. My name is Alina, and I began my journey with Runwood Homes in 2016, starting as a Care Assistant. From the very beginning, I knew that working in elderly care was more than just a job—it was something I was deeply passionate about.


Before joining Runwood, I had already gained early experience in elderly care, which gave me a strong foundation in supporting older individuals with compassion, patience, and respect. This early exposure helped me build the skills and confidence needed to understand the complex and unique needs of every resident.


Since joining the team, I have worked hard, shown dedication, and always strived to go above and beyond to ensure residents feel safe, valued, and cared for. Over time, I progressed to the role of Care Team Leader, where I took on more responsibility in leading shifts, supporting my colleagues, and ensuring high standards of care were maintained throughout the home.


Recently, I was proud to step into my new role as Deputy Manager. This position allows me to continue my hands-on involvement with residents while also helping to guide and support the wider team. I take great pride in leading by example and creating a positive, person-centred environment where staff feel supported and residents feel truly at home.


What I enjoy most about my role is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Whether it’s through providing personal care, emotional support, or simply sharing a smile, I believe that every act of kindness matters.
