After taking my brother into Sweyne Court as an emergency admission, I was apprehensive at first due to the stigma of placing a loved one into a care home. But after speaking with the staff and a virtual tour of the home, myself and my family feel relieved and pleased that he is there. We feel very relaxed that he will be cared for safely with dignity and respect. There appears to be a great team there and they all appear to treat the residents as family. They have a Facebook page that has regular posts for families to see what their loved ones are doing as well as facetime calls that can be arranged. Thank you Sweyne Court.
Thank you for your review. We understand that when it comes to the stage of a loved one going into a care setting it can be a very anxious time for all. We aim to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone and communication is a big part of this. We hope that your brother will be happy and enjoys his time with us.
Sweyne Court has been amazing in the care of my sister-in-law, keeping me informed constantly as I am in Australia. The manager is amazing. Being a retired Administrator of a large Care facility in Australia, I am extremely happy my sister-in-law is there. Thank you to all the staff.
Thank you Jean for your feedback and kind words. It is always important to us to keep us improving everyone's experience.
We are unable to visit her at all as we live in another country, but friends and family have visited and sent very positive feedback about the care Mum receives and her positive presentation.
Aware that we are not able to visit, the team at Sweyne Court, print out photos and family updates I send every month and place these in a book for her and talk to her about them. It's special touches like this that we really appreciate.
Living so far away, we have always loved the social media updates and photos of Mum and the activities happening there, and even more so during the current pandemic, especially all the extra photos, including Mum doing fun things and having fun during this difficult time.
Keep up the great work and stay safe!
Thank you, Lynn, for your feedback. We love keeping mum updated on all the goings-on abroad and watching her beautiful great-grandchild grow. Definitely puts a smile on Mums face.
The staff are very welcoming either on entry or over the telephone.
In this extremely difficult time with the covid-19, staff could not be more helpful whilst doing a difficult job.
The last thing you want to do is put your loved one in a care home, however, we could not have picked a more caring and loving home and environment. It certainly gives us as a family peace of mind to know he is being so well cared for.
Good Afternoon Jacquelyn, thank you for your feedback and kind uplifting words. It is important to us that everyone has a good experience. Dad is doing well, and I think he's becoming a pro at the video chats.
Upon entering the home I was offered a drink and shown to a lovely little lounge so I could spend some time there with my friend. The staff was so welcoming and kind during my visit. We were made sure by the staff we had everything we needed and was offered a box of games (we played scrabble!). When I was leaving around lunchtime there was someone playing the piano and it was a very nice atmosphere. I can see that my friend has settled in very well. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind feedback Elizabeth, I am pleased you had a wonderful experience with your friend. We are using video calls for people to stay in contact, so please give us a ring and arrange a time.
Lovely atmosphere showing dignity and respect to all residents and visitors, with lots of patience in a role that can be challenging. Nothing ever seems too much trouble. The cat and the dog were the main reason we chose the home and the cats played a huge part in my Auntie staying in the home. The food is great and she always wants more!
Good Afternoon Corinna, Thank you very much for your review all reviews are very important to us to enable us to always improve the service we provide.
I love coming to the care home to visit as the staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s like a big family, there is always activity going on and all the residents are together which is really lovely to see. The care for the residents goes above and beyond. Excellent care home.
Thank you for your valuable feedback Claire. It's always important to us so that we can keep on improving the individual experience.
A friendly atmosphere in a home with people who you can see really do care. The entertainment is good, some great singers.
Thank you very much for your feedback, this is very important to us to continue to improve our service for everyone.
I find this care home to be very homely and comfortable for all residents. The staff are very helpful and do all they can to ensure everyone is happy and well cared for. It has a very warm atmosphere and nothing seems too much trouble. It is always clean and smells fresh throughout. All the staff make a great effort to celebrate special occasions.
Thank you for your feedback, all feedback is important to us and we hope to continue the excellent individual experience.
Dignity is given to all patients, love and care shown to everyone.
Thank you for your feedback Jeanette, it is important to us to continue to provide an excellent individual experience.
I am very happy with the home.
Thank you for having taken your time to share your experience with us. Your valuable feedback is important to help us continue to provide all our customers with an excellent experience.
I was very satisfied with the care and attention, my mother received, during her one week's respite. The staff has endless patience and treated my mum with the utmost dignity. Mum enjoyed her meals, which was a bonus as I sometimes struggle with her eating. I was most surprised on returning home when my mum said she would be quiet happy to go back another time. Considering she was a bit reluctant to go for respite so I could have a break.
The staff who work at Sweyne Court really care. They don't just provide the necessities such as nutritious food and personal care but their affection for residents is evident - little squeezes, hugs, encouragement and infinite patience. My mum's been here for 4 years and she couldn't be in better hands. So reassuring.
Thank you for your feed back it is always important to us.
Since mums been at Sweyne Court she has received a high standard of care. When she first arrived she was very apprehensive. The last few months mother is more relaxed and more often than not she has a smile on her face, has a laugh and seems content.
Thank you for your feedback it is always very important to us.
My mum initially entered Sweyne Court as a respite patient in April 2019. She had been living in our Annexe, and we had been struggling with not only her dementia and behaviour but also regular carers. Mum had a bad fall, and we felt respite was a good solution. For various reasons, respite became permanent. All of the staff have always treated mum with care, respect and dignity. I visit, unannounced, at different times and have never found the staff to be any different. I was recently in mum's room and overheard a really moving exchange between a staff member and an elderly gentleman, the level of empathy and respect shown, really moved me and reassured me that mum is in the right place. Mum has changed beyond belief since being with Sweyne. She is no longer irrational, emotional and distressed, she has settled better than any of us could have expected or hoped and we are truly grateful to the staff for the compassionate care and patience they show in all of their dealings.
Thank you very much for your feedback this is very important to us to help us grow and develop. It is an honour looking after a loved one.
My mum has been in here for respite followed by rehabilitation and has always been treated with respect and dignity. I go in unannounced at all different times and the staff are always caring. They constantly come round with drinks and you cannot fault the food. I have struggled with Mum's illness and the staff have been a shoulder to cry on as they understand. As they say, it will never be like their own home but it comes close.
Your feedback is extremely important to help us to continue to improve and grow, to make daily living as meaningful as possible we pride ourselves in making it as home from home as possible.
The staff at Sweyne Court have been so welcoming and reassuring since Dad was admitted at Easter. They have done all they can to ensure he is safe and well cared for. Dad seems to love interacting with everyone. The home is kept very clean and staff are skilled and friendly. He couldn’t be in better hands, thank you to Sweyne Court.
Thank you so much for your feedback it is very welcomed and important for us to help grow and improve.
I have found the staff to be friendly lovely and caring, especially when I have had a few tears. My dad seems very happy and settled. He is always dressed in clean, ironed clothes. The food looks good too.
Thank you for your review it is an honour to look after your Dad with his wonderful sense of humour and jokes with all the staff and residents.
I always come away very melancholy with regard to the situation itself but happy in the knowledge that my sister is being well looked after and is in the best place possible.
As I live a long way from the home and cannot visit very often, it is good to know that my sister is safe and being treated with respect and dignity.
