I'm very satisfied with all the staff and the help they have provided over the past year.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review and sharing your experience with others which may be beneficial to them when looking for a home for their loved one. At Sweyne Court, we aim to provide a safe, caring and happy home for all those that live here and continue to offer support for families and friends during their loved one's stay.
I wouldn't recommend this care home for respite. My dad was placed there as an emergency as his needs were changing due to his Alzheimer's progressing. I visited almost every day and found him wet or smelling of faeces. On two occasions his slippers were full of urine so his feet were wet. He's a mild-mannered gentleman and has never liked conflict so wouldn't have said anything but would have tried to rectify the situation himself. He was accused of going into other people's rooms and taking their clothes, probably because he was wet and cold and there was no name or photo on his door so he wouldn't have known where his own room was. He caught covid and was isolated for 10 days so I wasn't allowed to visit. He ended up in the hospital because he was so dehydrated that he couldn't speak or swallow. I raised concerns every time I visited but there were different carers and seniors at every visit who all said that they weren't told information at handovers. Very disappointing service.
I hope that our conversation has brought some comfort to you during the difficult time you are going through, and please be assured that should you need anything in the future, be it advice or just a conversation, our doors are open to you and your family.
The care home is a very nice home as all the staff are so kind and helpful, making sure the residents are safe, well and happy, but also they take time to give family support and feedback about your loved ones. The home is so clean, the food is very nice, and there are always things going on for the residents. The music is always on or the TV, which is lovely to see them joining in. Thank you to all the staff.

Mum is very happy and comfortable in your care home! Staff are all very friendly and attentive and show Mum great respect and care. Her room is airy and light and is kept very clean and homely. Overall, we are very happy with Mum's care, and the staff are wonderful.

We appreciate all feedback to help us continue to provide a safe and happy home for all our residents and maintain a high level of care and support. We hope your review can help support others when choosing a home for their loved ones.
Mum came to live in Sweyne Court last September. She felt very much at home from the start with all her bits and personal belongings around her. The carers and all the support staff/managers have always been very warm and welcoming, and nothing is ever too much trouble. We can FaceTime regularly, which is so very comforting when I live so far away. A big thank you to everyone for giving Mum such lovely care and affection in her new home.
Thank you for your review and for taking the time to share your and your mum's experience of living and visiting Sweyne Court care home. Special thanks to the manager and her staff for the love and care provided to my sister-in-law, who came to your home as a safeguarding measure. Her life had been miserable and without hope for a brighter future. You and your supporting colleagues have shown her great care and compassion over the last eight months enabling her to return to independent living. You are all perfect examples of professional carers. The most important attributes each of you and your colleagues possess are ‘big hearts and kind words! You should all be very proud of yourselves for representing the care industry in such an outstanding way. My sister-in-law is eternally grateful for your friendship, and I cannot express my appreciation enough to you all for taking the pressure off me. I sensed she was in good hands from our first meeting, and you did not disappoint me. Well done, all at Sweyne Court.

I am very happy with Sweyne Court. I feel my mum has settled in well with not only the other residents but with the care staff too, who I think are amazing. My mum seems happy and says she does like it here.
That's so lovely to hear that mum has settled well into the home and likes her new home. Thank you for the kind comments, which the staff appreciate. We are always aiming to deliver the best service we possibly can to ensure a happy home for all our residents.
My mother-in-law came into the care home in October 2021, and she is really happy here. The staff are so helpful and caring.

Good entertainer.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am glad that you are finding everything good at the home and enjoying your stay with us.
What can I say; they were kind, considerate and welcoming.
He loved staying there, and it has taken care of a lot of stress, as I was not sure if he would settle when, in fact, he is looking forward to his next week of respite.
So, thank you, everyone, at Sweyne Court.
Thank you for your comments and for sharing your and your husband's experience. We are so pleased that your husband enjoyed his stay, and we look forward to his next visit.
They are extremely supportive and kind to the resident's needs and reach out to local organisations to help the residents to still feel part of the community, which helps with loneliness. The staff here always go above and beyond and are always very welcoming to visitors.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience. Your review and recommendation of the home are greatly appreciated and will help to support others.
My mother has been at Sweyne Court for 7-weeks now, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful; she seems settled and happy. The home is always spotlessly clean, including her room, and nothing is ever a problem for the staff. I would recommend this home; it is very well managed.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience with us. We are delighted that mum has settled well into the home and hope your comments may help to support other families considering care for a loved one.
My mum has been in Sweyne Court for nearly 3-years, and the care she has received has been of the highest standard. She is loved and very well looked after despite her many ailments. Since my mum has been in the care home, I have had peace of mind as she is safe, and I’m sure if it wasn’t for the hard work of these wonderful carers, she would not be here with me today. The food, entertainment and accommodation itself are fantastic, and the support we have received throughout the Covid outbreak has been amazing. Thank you so much to all the team.
Thank you for your review and kind comments. All feedback is very important to us to help us to continue to improve the home and the experience of loved ones and families. I am pleased that you and your mum have had a good experience with our services.
My mother-in-law resides at Sweyne Court, and the care she receives is outstanding. She recently became very ill, and one of the carers stayed 4-hours 30-minutes after her shift until she was taken by ambulance to hospital. She would have gone with her, but the paramedics could not allow this due to Covid restrictions. Upon her return, the deputy manager stayed past his shift to ensure she was settled. All the staff are amazing and have kept us sane and up to date with our mum’s welfare through Covid. Thank you all so much.
Thank you for your review and the recognition of the wonderful staff that work at Sweyne Court. We are very pleased that your mother-in-law has recovered well. We appreciate that during Covid it has been a difficult time for everyone, and hope that as we move forward, things will become a little easier for us all.
After a long stay in hospital during lockdown last year, we made the decision to place Dad at Sweyne Court. During his time at Sweyne, my dad was well looked after and always well presented. I was kept informed of any changes to his medical conditions, and when he wasn't well, the staff kept me informed, and it was comforting to know he had a great team looking out for him. The Facebook page is regularly updated with various activities the residents get up to, and it was always nice to see Dad pop upon them, enjoying himself. I lost my Dad recently, during his final week the staff were excellent - attentive, compassionate and maintained his dignity. They were very supportive of us too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home.
We are pleased to know that you and your father were happy with the care and service the home provided.
We are always grateful for the feedback we receive and continue to aim that every person is treated as an individual and is cared for with dignity and respect.
He took a while to settle, but the staff at Sweyne Court were so supportive and approachable. They guided us through his early days and were always at the end of the phone.
They do lots of activities there too.
All the staff are kind and caring. As I say, it was the hardest decision ever, but I really feel that he is in safe hands
Many thanks.
Thank you for your review and comments. It is wonderful when we receive feedback as we understand how reviews can help and support other families so much when they face having to make a decision of looking for a care home for a loved one to move into We aim to make transitions into the home as...
Excellent care is provided in this home. It is spotlessly clean, nothing is too much trouble for the staff; they are always polite and happy to help, always with a smile on their face. Plenty of facilities and lots to keep residents occupied. My mother-in-law is always saying how happy she is in there. If you are looking for a care home, I would thoroughly recommend this one.
Hello, and thank you for your review. Your recommendation and overall review of the home is much appreciated; we hope this can be of help to others looking for a care home.
From the outset, although Mum could not fully communicate to tell us, it was very clear she was happy and comfortable at the home, and this has only continued to be the case. She’s calm and at ease with everyone.
The team really do a fantastic job, and every time we visit, we can always see the genuine care and love they give to all residents - this was especially important during the peak of Covid when we could not visit for so many months - the home did all they could to keep us connected, coming up with ingenious ideas for interaction, which helped us, as a family, through the toughness of not being able to physically be with Mum.
Thank you doesn’t really come close to the appreciation we have.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your experience of Sweyne Court and the staff. We are very pleased that mum is settled and happy at the home. It has been a very tough 2-years with Covid having a big impact on care homes, residents and families. We were thankful that we were able...
