Under Government guidance, we have been kept informed and help with visits according to the regulations.
Hopefully, this situation is coming to an end, and we can all get back to caring for our parents along with the wonderful staff.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review with your kind comments. It has been a difficult year for us all, but we are so pleased to see the 1-1 visits going ahead and how much this means to you all and your loved ones.
Thank you for all your hard work.
We are so pleased that your Grandad is happy with us at Sweyne Court and has settled into the home. Thank you for your review and for taking the time to write it and share it with others.
Lovely staff, so caring and kind. Visited my mum today, and she was happy and alert; she looked immaculately clean and smart, nails clean as well. Interacting with the staff in a kind and caring way. I cannot thank the staff enough for keeping us informed and reassuring us in this difficult time. The staff are all amazing; they go above and beyond what they need to do, and it is very much appreciated - they deserve a medal!
Thank you for your kind and endearing review. We are so pleased you are happy with your mum's care and being with us at Sweyne Court. I hope your review will help others, who are unsure or anxious about placing a loved one in residential care, during these difficult times.
When my nana was transferred to Sweynwe Court following the sudden death of her husband, we could never have expected how incredible her care would be here. Thoroughly personalised care which focuses on the need of the person. When she has become unwell, it has been dealt with so quickly and with such love and care. They have gone above and beyond to ensure all family feel included through photos and gifts, even when lockdown has stopped us from being able to see her. And ultimately, she has thrived, gaining weight and receiving fantastic care in a homely and friendly environment - we couldn't ask for more.
We are so please that you feel that your nana is receiving incredible care and personalised. We recognise that everyone has different needs and promote person-centred care within the home. Thank you for your kind comments and for sharing them with everyone, which we hope will help others.
My dad moved to Sweyne Court from Bedfordshire. The team at Sweyne Court have been amazing. I now can sleep at night knowing how well he is cared for. I speak to Dad every day, and he can't believe how kind people are.
Hello, and thank you for your review. We are glad you feel rest assured that your father is being well cared for. The team at Sweyne Court aim to ensure everyone is treated as a unique individual and that their personal preferences are met where ever we can.
There was a health concern in February with mum (not COVID), and the doctor was called the same day, and I was kept informed by the home all the time.
Mum has been in Sweyne Court since January 2020 as her dementia deteriorated to the extent that we could no longer look after her at home. Thankfully, Sweyne Court is so homely, and Mum is very well cared for. Thank you all so much.
We are delighted you are happy with mum's care, and we will do our utmost to keep relatives informed of any changes with their loved one's health and well being. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and share your experience.
Caregivers really made him welcome.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We aim to provide the best care possible and ensure everyone's stay is as comfortable and happy as can be.
I have found the staff very caring and empathetic. The home is very clean, and the food is of an excellent standard. You could not wish for a better place to have relatives cared for. A great care home in a nice setting close to town.
Thank you for your review and for taking the time to express your experience of Sweyne Court care home. We strive and aim to make each resident feel safe and supported while living at the home and making it their home.
Wonderful home. I was worried about my father having to move into a care home as was concerned he would not be happy, but I need not have worried as the care at Sweyne Court is fantastic. My father is the happiest and healthiest he has been in a long time, and the carers are great at keeping me updated despite not being able to visit as normal at present due to the pandemic.
Hi and thank you for your review; it's wonderful to know that you feel the transition period went well for your dad and you; and that you feel the home is fantastic. We will endeavour to keep relatives up to date with any changes in their loved ones.
Mum was transferred to Sweyne Court from the hospital for respite care after falling and breaking her hip. The care she has received is first-class. They have been very patient with her as she had been in three different hospitals in three weeks. I would thoroughly recommend this home.
Thank you for your review, and your recommendation. We are encouraged to hear you are happy with your mum's care and support.
It was so lovely to be able to visit our friend again last week. Since being in Sweyne Court, she looks happier, healthier and enjoys the company she now has with the other residents and the carers. The carers always do so much to keep the residents occupied and happy. Thank you to you all for everything you do; it’s really appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review; we are pleased that your friend is doing so well and is happier staying at Sweyne Court.
My father as been in Swyene Court since January now. We feel so lucky as a family that he was placed here. His care meets such a high standard; he is always on the Facebook page doing something. When you call, the staff always goes the extra mile to help, and nothing is too much. I visited him in the pod last week, and he appeared happy and calm. My mum went to do her first face to face visit, and she could not be anymore thankful of the care my father receives. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and caring for people with dementia, as a nurse, I know how extremely hard it is to do.
Thank you for your review; we are grateful for your kind comments and continue to aim to provide the best support and care for all the residents at Sweyne Court.
Last month was dad's 90th Birthday, and although the family could only have a window visit, they had made it very special with banners and balloons and a large bottle of scotch (much to Dad's delight).
It is very reassuring to know Dad is being well looked after and seems very happy being a resident at Sweyne Court.
Thank you for your review and lovely comments; we are so happy your dad enjoyed celebrating his 90th birthday party, and you were able to see him at the window. Hopefully, as things get better, you will be able to spend time together for his next birthday.
The staff have been professional and helpful at every opportunity.
The deputy manager and senior that helped accommodate Mum and Dad at extremely short notice have not only been supportive but proactive, helping us with difficult and stressful decisions that needed to be made. They really have gone above and beyond.
Mum is recovering well and has had her numerous medication needs assessed and managed. Dad is settled and is doing well. The staff are fantastic and always so helpful and welcoming. A very big thank you to everyone at Sweyne Court.
Thank you for your time in writing a review for the home and with such kind comments. We aim to make every transition into the home as smooth as possible. We are very pleased that your parents have settled well into the home and are both doing so well.
My husband has been in Sweyne Court since July 2018. They are looking after him very well; he has his own room with en-suite. They deal with his needs, which can be very difficult at times. Residents have their set meals and afternoon tea. I notice they are having more activities of late, which the residents seem to participate in.
Thank you for your review. We aim to post lots of photographs of activities that are going on for families and friends to see and enjoy during this difficult time.
I would like to thank all staff at Sweyne Court for their excellent and professional care they provide to my Grandad. The staff are friendly and professional and are always happy to help.
In February 2021, the staff put a 90th birthday party for my grandad, which was very kind of them; he enjoyed it very much.
Thank you to Sweyne Court and all their staff for their continued outstanding care.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of the home. We are happy that your grandad was able to enjoy a happy 90th birthday party.
We would like to thank all the staff at Sweyne Court for the professional and attentive care our Dad received in the last year of his life. From the first time I visited Sweyne Court, I had a very strong feeling that it was a place where we would be happy for our Father to reside, and in particular, that they would make him welcome following the recent loss of his wife. Those strong feelings were not misplaced.
When there were issues with our Dad’s health and behaviour, the staff always kept us fully informed and explained the problems and actions being taken in a balanced and caring manner.
The last year has not been normal, however, despite the lack of physical contact with family and friends, the care home managed to facilitate regular Facetime/phone calls and pod visits with him, which made a big difference to his quality of life. The regular updates and photographs posted on their Facebook page also kept us in touch with his daily life.
Hi Paul, thank you very much for your comments and for taking the time to write this review during what must be a difficult time for you all. Sending our thoughts and condolences to you all.
My dad recently passed away, having lived at Sweyne Court for over 2 1/2 years. He was contented in himself while he was there and always extremely well cared for. I could turn up at any time during the day to visit, so I felt really confident that there was never anything hidden from view. His care was always really good, and the staff were always cheery and friendly. There were often fun activities and celebrations going on, on a small and grander scale. The building is not very modern or attractive, but if you can look beyond that, I am confident that your loved one would be really well looked after.
Hello Sara, we are sorry for your loss; your dad will be missed by all. Thank you for your time in writing a review and your kind comments about the home and staff.
Highly recommended.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We are so pleased that your nan's well being has improved since being with us.
Mum came into Sweyne Court one month ago as an emergency placement straight from the hospital due to her dementia. I cannot believe the change in her. She looks so much better in herself. She looks happy too which was captured forever in her Christmas card photo I recently received. The staff are always friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to keep me and Mum in touch. I have already recommended Sweyne Court to my friend for a relative.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the review. I am glad to know that your mum is settling well at the home, that you have been kept up to date and that you have received a photo christmas card of her to enjoy. Thank you for the recommendation.
