Sweyne Court is a very good care home. The residents are looked after very well. All the staff are very kind.
Good Afternoon Thank you for your kind words. We aim to continue to provide a individuality and an excellent care service for all.
My mother attended the day centre in the last few weeks of her life (she was not a resident). The staff were fantastic and made her feel so welcome, they put on lots of different activities to stimulate her.
She really enjoyed her days at the centre, and I wish I had known about it earlier! Thank you Sweyne Court.
Thank you for your review, we are sorry for the sad news of your mother and send you our best wishes.
Could not wish for better care all round for my wife by the staff. She loves them and they love her. Very happy.
Thank you, Roger, for your kind words.
When she has been poorly a doctor or nurse has been called and medication is given. We cannot fault the facility everything is catered for all very good.
Thank you Glen for your kind words. All feed back is important so it enables us to continue to provide good care to all. Look forward to seeing you at the relatives meeting.
Being as I only use this facility once a week (daycare) I find it meets my needs at the moment. The staff are very friendly.
Thank you for your feed back, all feed back is important to us so that we can continue to provide the best care.
Managers, supervisors and all care and kitchen staff are always kind, helpful and supportive to Mum and us.
I have recommended this home to a friend who needed to find care for her father in law. I cannot rate Sweyne Court highly enough. I have always been very happy with Mum's care.
Thank you Maria for your kind words and feed back. All feed back is important to enable us to continue to provide the best care for all our residents.
I visit Mum (96) on a regular basis and always find the management, senior carers, carers, cleaners and catering all very open and informative. The day to day care is excellent. The home is clean with very little smells you sometimes associate with care homes. Any medical problems with Mum the care home will telephone me and inform me so I can visit quickly if necessary. Mum has been in the home since July 2016 and seems happy and safe. Any concerns I may have from time to time I discuss with the carers who always respond positively.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. We welcome all feedback so that we can continue to strive to provide the best for all our residents. As you know my door is always open and your input at the relative's meetings is always valuable. Thank you. :)
People always cleaning and room, always clean and tidy.
My mum always looks well cared for and happy.
Thank you, Karen, for your kind words. It is an honour to be trusted to look after anyone's loved one. We welcome all feedback to continue to provide excellence within our service.
After reviewing other care homes, we chose Sweyne Court as we immediately felt the warmth, care and cleanliness of the home. We continue to be than happy with the love that is shown to the residents and the cleanliness is superb. Well done to all concerned.
Thank you very much for your kind words, all comments and suggestions are welcome so that we can continue to provide and better our services.
I came to visit my friend at Sweyne Court recently and was overwhelmed with the care and attention my friend receives. The staff are very attentive and great with the service users. There were lots of activities going on and I was so happy and relieved to see my friend smiling. I also stayed for lunch and could not believe how delicious and freshly made the food was. Thank you to all staff at Sweyne Court!
Thank you so much for your kind words. All feedback is important to us so that we can continue to improve the service.
Sweyne Court has a friendly welcoming atmosphere with attentive professional care staff always on hand. Dad is very happy.
Thank you for taking the time to review us, your thoughts matter and help us improve the service we provide.
Apart from this, I believe they are well cared for by professional and caring staff.
Thank you for your review, your comments and suggestions are important to us so that we can always improve the service we provide. We hope to see you at the relatives' meetings, and please raise all comments and suggestions at our monthly care reviews.
My mum's room is a bit small with wardrobe space not deep enough.
Overall I am happy with mum's care.
Thank you we will take your comments and we can discuss at a review.
Either the home is able to recruit exactly the sort of people for the staff or they receive excellent training. My husband has dementia and does not really know where he is or what day it is but most days he tells me he is happy. The staff know him and his idiosyncrasies and deal with him in a good-humoured way. I have nothing but praise for Sweyne Court.
Thank you Val, for your kind words. I will share this with the staff and we will always continue to strive to make this home family environment for everybody to feel welcome.
I appreciate everything the carers do for my husband, I have a very good relationship with them and they always take into account any suggestions I have regarding his care. I feel they respect my feelings as sometimes it can be upsetting seeing my husband in a distressed mood which affects me greatly. Sweyne Court is now my husbands home and the carers are like another family to him and when I leave him I trust them with his care and well being.
Thank you Jan :) for your kind words. We like to make everyone feel at home.
Mum moved into Sweyne Court in March when we realised that due to her dementia it was not safe for her to live on her own. My sisters and I visited the home unannounced and we were immediately impressed with the way the carers put the resident's needs first, even when showing round a prospective new client. This was very important to us. The carers are respectful of Mum's personal needs, she likes to shower every day and they help her dress so she still looks nice. She was able to bring her own clothes and familiar belongings with her. Mum's room is cleaned every day and her clothes and bedding are all cleaned on site. Mum loves the outdoor courtyard and enjoys the regular BBQ's and activities. She enjoys visiting the on-site hair salon each week. Mum sometimes gets confused but all the staff handle her and the others with dignity. The doctor visits regularly and Mum's medication is being closely monitored rather than just being repeat prescribed. When we go home after visiting, we feel secure in the knowledge that mum is being well cared for and is safe. We would have no hesitation in recommending Sweyne Court.
Thank you! :) We aim to provide the highest quality of care all comments and suggestions are always helpful on what we do well or what we can do better.
Care staff are caring and kind. Food is good. Drinks are not forthcoming, limited fluids to hand.
Kind Regards
For those who are unable to dress themselves perhaps more attention could be paid to dressing them in suitable clothing for the temperature (Winter/Summer) but obviously this would mean either more staff (extra cost) or staff with more time available.
I do not know if more funds could be available to " beautify" the ladies, skin cream etc, (who seem to be in the majority) to maybe help them feel better about themselves. This review is from a male so the above sentence can ONLY be truly evaluated as regards it's validity by a female!!
Thank you Mr B, the ladies and gents are offered to spend time every Monday with the visiting hairdresser who is very accommodating and also attends on Bank Holidays, we also have a lady who visits the home every other week and offers a range of relaxation therapy, hand massages and other...
Home well, staff excellent. Room does need updating. Food excellent. More care needed with personal clothing, was in home for a week but lost quite a few items, even when I said I would wash her own clothes. Day care cannot fault, excellent.
