As you enter into Woodbury Court it seems very quiet and peaceful but as you move along the corridors and meet the residents and staff the home comes alive. Staff pride themselves on activity-based care and involve residents in all that they do. Promoting independence and choice is paramount.

The home has warm, welcoming and cosy dining rooms and lounges. But if a quiet place is needed that can also be found, choice is so important.

My dad has been at Woodbury Court for 6 months now and the whole process of settling my dad in was made so much easier by the wonderful management and staff. There is always a happy atmosphere whenever I visit. The home is kept clean and is maintained very well. All the staff work hard to care and to look after everyone, but also to entertain them with a daily calendar of activities and entertainment.

I visited many other care homes before deciding on Woodbury court as it most definitely the best of them all.

I really cant fault woodbury court in any way.
The staff are all so friendly, polite, smiley and nothing is ever a problem. They all go out of their way to help in any way.
Especially in this heatwave recently, they all work so hard.
Communication is excellent.

Really chuffed that mum is in woodbury court. I couldn't ask for better.

Mum's been at this home on many occasions now. Firstly as part of her bed to home route after a long spell in hospital. The staff have never been anything less than amazingly compassionate and kind to her. And to myself. When caring has been getting on top of me they've listened. They have looked after mum as if she were part of their own family. Everyone is helpful. From reception to care team to catering to cleaning even the maintenance guys and management. If ever she has to go into a home Woodbury would be my first choice bar none.

My mother has been here for over five years and we continue to be very happy with the home. The staff are always helpful and the management team approachable. The manager Mel knows every one of the 90 residents well and is passionate about their well being and providing a range of activities for the residents. My mother is well cared for and happy.

My Dad lives at Woodbury court and he has blossomed, he is well cared for, entertained and in better health than he was before he went there, and he is now 97. He is really happy, he participates in so many things and especially loves to dance! The staff are amazing and so caring, the management of Woodbury Court is marvellous. It gives me peace of mind to know that he is safe and in expert hands being cared for by people who understand dementia and know how to make his life enjoyable and comfortable. Thank you Woodbury Court you are a fantastic team.

I could not have chosen a better care home than Woodbury Court Care Home for my sister who has been there a long time now and very happy there. My thanks goes to all staff who care, interact, entertain and look after my sister and the residents there. They all go beyond their role and are always happy and cheerful with a smile. Woodbury has a pleasant environment and atmosphere; a pleasant home to visit; a home from home for residents. There are plenty of activities and days out and interactions between residents and staff. They have resident and relative meetings every month to give everyone a voice to improve or adjust care. They recently did a survey for residents on food preferences and dislikes and have amended and improved their menus accordingly but are always happy to provide an alternative if someone is unhappy with what is on the menu that day.

Mel the Manager and Lorraine Deputy Manager, are always available to talk at their door opposite reception always open.

My Brother has been in Woodbury court for nearly two years and we find that he is well cared for and encouraged to take part in activities. Mel found out that my Brother likes Tom and sat and listened to Green Green Grass which he liked. Please to see that staff has sat with my Brother and gone through his memory album which stimulates him and gets him talking re past events.

My mother has now been at Woodbury Court for almost 9 months. My sister and I moved her from another home, where there were not enough suitable activities to occupy her.

Woodbury Court is modern and well maintained. Residents' rooms are a good size and very comfortable. The food is of a very good quality and is appropriate to residents' needs and preferences. The dedicated staff team do everything they can to give the residents the best experience possible and are endlessly patient and very caring.

The Management Team at Woodbury Court are very helpful with any query or problem that arises, and come up with some excellent ideas and solutions to issues that arise. They are always ready to listen to relatives and to residents.

There is a comprehensive range of activities to suit most people and they are always ready to add new activities that may be requested. These are meaningful and varied.

I would recommend Woodbury Court to anyone looking for a placement for a loved one.

My Mum has been part of the Woodbury Court Family since mid March 2025. I can honestly say that the care, respect & "looking after" Mum receives is excellent. They have taken time to get to know Mum and how she likes things done without being intrusive - just caring, Mum's care, dignity and respect is the number one priority everyday. The management team are approachable and always make time to listen and address any issue / worry you may have - nothing is too much trouble, especially in relation to Mum.
I'm so grateful to all the team for all they do for Mum everyday - one of the hardest decisions Mum had to make has been made so much easier and very much the right one for Mum.

Thank you all - caring, respectful & dignified 5 star plus every day.

Our Mum has been a resident at Woodbury Court for nearly 3 months now. Mum is extremely happy here and it has given her a new lease of life. All of the staff are so attentive and really care about the residents. All of Mum's personal, health and medical needs are addressed with genuine care, which is so important to us as her children. It has alleviated these pressures from us, we can visit and enjoy our time with Mum. Mum has been on several trips to places such as Southend and Maldon, which is having such a positive impact on her wellbeing. The communication from Neil regarding Mum's health is proactive and so helpful. Paul is such a motivated member of the team and his interactions are contagious. We highly recommend this home. Mel, Lorraine and their team are incredible people who we believe care for the residents as if they were their family. Review from Michelle and Gary (daughter and son)

My Father, is in the best care home, Mel, Lorraine and the team are very attentive, caring and above all are just lovely people. Dad has been here nearly a year now, and he is not wanting for anything. The food they have is fresh and really nice, dad does not leave a morsel on his plate or bowl. The cleaners are very friendly, and dad is so happy here. I dread to think how he would have been, if he was still in his flat, as he has so much interaction with everyone. Thank you so much for making my dad a happy man.

My Dad was a resident at Woodbury Court for just over 3 months and sadly passed away on 6th October. I cannot praise the staff at Woodbury Court enough. During his stay they were attentive to his every need, in a very loving and caring way. In the days up to his passing, they were always available to support Dad and myself. They took away my worries about the practical side of things, liaising with St Luke's Hospice, and all came to pay their respects. I would highly recommend Woodbury Court and a big heartfelt thank you to everyone there.

My mother has been there since January 2021. My family are very pleased that mum is there and she is well looked after. The staff are very caring and polite. The food is very good there as well. I took mum to the dining room the other Sunday and the roast dinner smelt lovely. The staff even put the TV on for mum so she doesn't miss her favourite programme. We know mum is safe there and well looked after. Thank you to all the staff at Woodbury for looking after mum. You are all superstars.

My mother has been resident at Woodbury Court for the last 18 months. She had been diagnosed with dementia a few months prior to arriving at Woodbury Court and life was very confusing and distressing for her. And while her move to the home was not easy, staff and other residents made her very welcome and spent a lot of time reassuring her. Sooner than I had dared hope she was beginning to regard it as her home. I can't thank the wonderful staff enough. My mother is always treated with kindness and dignity and the overall atmosphere of the place is one of warmth and fun. There's a full programme of activities every week and relatives like me are always made welcome.

My brother came to Woodbury Court for a one month stay back in Dec 2021 and he loved it from day one. Fortunately he was able to stay and he still loves it to this day. All of the staff are wonderful and are so friendly it's always a pleasure to visit. If there are any concerns with my brother Mel will contact me to let me know and I'll be updated constantly. My brother has had to be admitted to hospital on a few occasions and the updates, reassurance and help offered by the team at Woodbury Court was exceptional each time.

It was a big birthday for my brother last year and Mel made it possible for us to use one of the lounges for the celebration. They decorated the room and kept coming in to check how my brother was doing and if he needed anything. We weren't sure how we were going to hold a party for him due to his physical condition so this was really appreciated and he had a lovely party. If anyone is considering Woodbury Court I 100% recommend it!

We chose Woodbury Court for our mother for a number of reasons including location, decor (interior and exterior), room size and facilities, but the overarching reason was the quality and experience of the team. Both the manager and assistant manager are long served leaders at this care home. Their knowledge of the team and the residents is truly amazing. Our 97 year old mother has been a resident for over 9 months and during that period she has suffered from a range of illnesses each of which have been addressed with speed, care and compassion.

We would not hesitate to recommend Woodbury Court.

Woodbury Court has put on so many events over the summer with BBQs, Elvis impersonators and many outings for the residents. I would say they go above and beyond to fulfill the happiness of all who lives there. The entertainment crew do a great job with sing alongs, knitting and natter Tuesdays, gardening club and the Woodbury ramblers. The carers are all easy to talk to with any worries or concerns you may have. The management team are always approachable and happy to help and keep us updated via email plus family meetings. I know my mum is happy and well looked after at Woodbury.
