I had a chat with a member of staff tonight and she was excellent. She went above and beyond to help me regarding something and I could not be happier. Thank you so much so easygoing and a delight to chat with made me feel so comfortable with the service, all the best to you.

The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful. My relative is very settled and happy living there and is extremely well looked after. It is a great comfort to myself and the rest of the family that we know that she is so well cared for.

Thank you for your kind review. Your relative is a pleasure to have been with, and we are glad to have her at Sands. As a family, your regular visits, involvement in the care and support are equally valuable. Many thanks

Overall Experience
My lovely brother resided at Sands Lodge for many years until he passed away on 11th November 2021. He loved living there and was a huge character in the Lodge and will be missed terribly.
The staff have been excellent, and my brother enjoyed his time there, especially enjoying the meals that were cooked; he always looked forward to the meals.

The staff are also very caring.

Thank you, Irene, for your positive review. As you mentioned, your brother was a wonderful person who was loved by all at the Sands Lodge family. His jokes and the scrabble will always be missed.

When my brother entered Sands Lodge, it became his home. The care he has received in the years of residence has been first-class. Staff and residents are family. I can truthfully say the quality and standard of care given is excellent.

Review from Tracy F (Resident / Service User) published on 29 May 2019 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Sands Lodge is a very nice home. I have made a good improvement since I came to live here 4 years ago. Staff are very good and understanding. I have a good relation with most of the other residents. We go out together a lot for walks, trips, sightseeing, parks, town, shopping, pub lunches and even to the nail bar, theatre and cinemas. The food is lovely and healthy. The garden is large but needs a bit of improvement which will be looked at during this summer. I wanted to personalise my room with the paint and furniture that I wanted which was done last year but some other rooms can do with a redecoration as they look a bit dull in the magnolia colour. Staff accompany me for appointments and blood tests and sometimes we go out in the people carrier. The manager is very friendly that I could talk to him about anything and I can reach them through mobile and text messages even when the management is away. I would recommend this home to anyone who needed support.
