Belmont Castle Care Home

The care Mum has been given in Belmont Castle has been wonderful. They are a lovely team who all do their best for the residents. The food is wonderful too - all homemade. The activities have given Mum so much enjoyment - baking cakes, singing, balloon tennis. Seeing the therapy dog and having regular visits from the local children's nursery. A lot of thought and care goes into making the resident's lives happy and comfortable.

We had been searching for the perfect new home for Nan. Belmont made us feel so welcome, supported and showed general care and interest. We knew this had to be Nan's new 'castle' fit for the queen she should be! Thank you for making her so happy and supported, the care and love from everyone is brilliant! We love visiting and seeing Nan so happy! Thank you.

My dad settled in really quickly and is enjoying his stay. The staff are very friendly and easy to speak to.

My father has been in the home for just over two years and I feel he has been very well cared for. The facilities are dated but recent refurb has improved things. The staff have been very considerate in looking after my dad's needs in every way.

A very homely feel when you arrive. The staff are welcoming and chatty. Always kept informed of any issues regarding Mum. Activities are excellent and Mum really enjoys joining in when able.

Very good. The staff are very helpful. Lots of things going on for the residents and families were included and kept updated.

Since then she's had a number of water infections due to lack of fluids, and missed medication for 5 day's then 9 days. If I could get an emergency prescription why couldn't they after one day? We feel this has set her back in her health. She had a number of falls and resistance had to call out for help, one fall resulting in fracturing her elbow. This resulted in her losing the mobility of her leg because she relied on a frame for walking. We've since moved her and she's improving.

This was my first visit and I was impressed by the warmth and cleanliness of the rooms I went in. The staff members were very welcoming and one lady, in particular, was very informative about the home and procedures and activities. Overall for a first visit, very good.

My father has only been a resident for four weeks, but from the first show around to my father's admission, he and all the family have been made welcome. It was his birthday within the second week and the party food that was prepared surprised us all. The staff are approachable and always find time to listen to any concerns. Very pleased with the facilities and the activities coordinator, a credit to the company.

My father has been a resident in Belmont Castle for approximately 18 months, the care is above and beyond the staff are always so helpful. My dad has a lovely rapport with the staff, and his belongings are looked after, Covid had a huge impact on everyone and since restrictions have lifted its so lovely to interact with everyone again, the activities are having a big impact on the residents, can't thank everyone at Belmont for everything they do.

My grandad has only been at Belmont for a short while but he has settled in extremely well. All the staff are friendly. The activity coordinator is fab and encourages Grandad to join in with activities, which he enjoys.

I feel he is now being looked after well. At times over the last few years, this hasn't been the case, at times. Covid rules and poor management has caused me great anxiety about my relative's care, but now I feel much more at ease, that my relative is as comfortable as can be expected.

Management/assistant manager excellent. Area management visiting - poor. Had a bad experience talking in her office. No understanding of my husband's needs. No privacy - staff in and out. Condescending to speak to me on my own when I was distressed. Not happy at all with the outcome.

Having arranged a time to visit my friends, on arrival, I was told she was out (I was pleased as it was her birthday), so I waited about half an hour to see her. However, the staff were very kind in inviting me to join my friends for afternoon tea. Staff are generally very pleasant, but I would say there are one or two issues in communication.

Absolutely amazing home! Staff are genuine and professional and uphold the most respect and quality when delivering care. The care they give to residents is absolutely amazing. They make everyone feel as though they are part of a family! They give residents a safe home to be able to feel like themselves and give their all to help give them the right care that they need. I would highly recommend this home, it’s absolutely brilliant what they do.

Have reviewed our experience outdoors as we have only been allowed to look at the bedroom due to covid-19. From our initial contact with the manage and deputy to all the staff we have met on our visits; care and dignity to our Mum have been excellent. She cannot speak highly enough of her care, attention and dignified way she is treated - also she says the food is wonderful.

Caring staff. Clean most areas. Staff very good with residents and relatives. Food is very good. Communications need improving. Please pay more attention to car parking and surrounding area asap.

The food is varied and well presented and a great choice. Snacks and drinks are available at all times. The staff always have time for the residents and their families. The place is spotless, safe and secure and managed very well.

My father has been at Belmont for the past six months and he has settled in extremely well and he loves the surroundings. He thinks the food is fantastic and joins in in all the activities which are very well organised. The team have been brilliant in decorating his room in a theme he chose, which he absolutely loves. We can not thank the team enough for all their hard work, support and effort to have enabled my father to fit in so well, to what is such a wonderful and well looked after home.
