My dad moved into Dawson Lodge over two years ago, and the support he has had from all the staff has been exemplary. Dad always tells us he is happy and comfortable. He enjoys the brilliant food provided by experienced and jolly kitchen staff alongside musical activities and visits from family. We all appreciate the evolving care that dad receives as his condition progresses. Thank you to all at Dawson Lodge.

My husband was always well cared for, it was clear all the staff had great affection and respect for him. My husband had dementia and despite this, they ensured he was clean and respectable. With encouragement he joined in the afternoon activities which initially he was reluctant to go because of his deafness. I hope I will never need to go into a care home but if I do I hope its Dawson Lodge who I know would give good care.

I can't recommend Dawson Lodge enough. Its not just a care home - it's a place where residents are treated with kindness, respect and compassion. I'm so thankful for the care and attention my mother in law receives here. A very big thank you to all the amazing staff who go above and beyond. Dawson Lodge is an excellent choice.

Finding the right care for my mother was an emotional journey, and I am beyond grateful to have found this exceptional care home. From the very first visit, I was impressed with the warmth, compassion, and professionalism of the staff. They truly go above and beyond to create a welcoming and loving environment for residents. What stands out the most is the genuine kindness and respect shown to my mother and the other residents. I am always kept well-informed about her well-being, and I can see the deep care the team puts into every interaction. It's clear that this care home isn't just a place for my mother to live-it's a community that truly cares for her.

I feel at peace knowing my mother is in such capable, caring hands. I am eternally grateful for the support, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone looking for the best possible care for their loved ones.

Both me and my sister cannot rate Dawson Lodge high enough. Since moving mum in they have been amazing 100% better than her last home/assisted living. The staff at Dawson Lodge are a credit to the company and have shown they care for their residents.

Dawson Lodge West End took care of my mum for two weeks whilst I as her full-time carer, took a break. Before selecting Dawson Lodge I viewed several other homes. Not one came close to the level of warmth, attitude and kindness of the staff and facilities. Whilst Dawson wasn't the most 'fancy', it was spotless. The staff appeared happy and willing and demonstrated warmth and care. Food was outstanding and everyone we met couldn't do enough for us or mum. Thank you! Would 100% recommend it.

My father has recently spent six weeks respite care at Dawson Lodge and we were so impressed with the care and kindness shown to him during his stay. Nothing was too much trouble and he felt safe and looked after. It was a great relief to know he was being so well looked after while my mother was in hospital having an operation. Everyone was so friendly and took time to get to know my father and make his time as enjoyable as possible. He has nothing but high praise for all the staff, as do we, as a family. The food was amazing and all of his medication needs were taken care of. The room was lovely and we were able to make it a home from home for him. We would thoroughly recommend Dawson Lodge as a safe, happy place to be for anyone who is looking for a care home.

1st of July, my Mother was taken into respite care with no hope of ever going back to her own home. My Mother was at this point living in the Northeast of England with me being down South. I contacted Dawson Lodge Care Hoe on that day and arranged to go and see their facilities. The receptionist who welcomed us was nothing short of exceptional. She showed kindness, empathy and understanding, clearly loving her work, residents, management and facilities. We were very impressed with the facilities, especially the bedrooms as they are a reasonable size and nicely furnished. My mother moved in on the 3rd of August. From walking through the door, she was welcomed and made to feel very comfortable in the home. After less than a week, she has made friends with other residents, cannot praise the staff enough for their kindness and consideration. The dining experience has been exceptional with Mum especially enjoying all the sweet treats. Thank you everyone at Dawson Lodge for making the transition for both my Mum and our family so seamless. We would highly recommend Dawson Lodge to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.

Mum moved into Dawson Lodge in May. She is diagnosed with Alzheimer's. There were some teething problems, which was expected. She had a fall, but it was dealt with efficiently and effectively. Staff are engaged and listen. Big shout-out to the receptionist, who is unfailingly kind and compassionate, the manager, who cares passionately for residents and the maintenance man, who keep the home running so smoothly. I would say more staff are needed on shift, there were no staff to take my mother for a blood test presurgery.

The home is always welcoming and kept spotlessly clean. My friend is well cared for and we have no concerns regarding his welfare. The food is excellent and to a high standard. It is a safe home and my friend is genuinely cared about by the staff. We could not be more pleased with the decision we made to send him to this lovely home.

My relative has been living at Dawson Lodge for the last ten months. I was so impressed with the home when I came to visit for the first time, I knew that this was to be their new home. The atmosphere was so caring and homely and beautifully clean and tidy. The staff are so patient and kind and attentive and the food is restaurant standard. The activities are fun and stimulating and there is often celebrations going on for birthdays and more recently the coronation. Amazing staff.

My auntie, who is in her 90's, has settled down remarkably well and this is due entirely to the care and support of all the staff - carers, maintenance, admin, kitchen - absolutely everyone has made her feel welcome. She was very frail when she arrived but due to the excellent food and attention she is much healthier and robust. Her physical and mental health has improved remarkably. She is a much happier and contented lady now. Thank you.

Very warmly welcomed, beautiful home and confrontation decorations, happy atmosphere. My friend has a fantastic room ( I liked the door!) Immaculately clean and non-institutional. Certainly, the best resident room I have seen (and I have been to many over the years!) Lovely curtains, a beautiful garden view from her room. She could not be better cared for and all her needs met.

Clearly, Dawson Lodge is a well-managed and welcoming home. From the minute I arrived I was greeted with a smile and warmth. These qualities are evident in all the staff in whatever role. Staff are motivated and quick to provide help and support. The environment is safe and clean whilst the meals and drinks are varied and of excellent quality. I feel very comfortable to leave my mother in capable, professional and kind hands.

Mum moved to Dawson Lodge on 10th February 2023. The whole process has been seamless with excellent support at all stages from management and staff alike. At a difficult time for mum, the care and support she received have been first-class, she had particular issues with her colostomy bag she received care and understanding from the carers during the familiarisation process. In the first three weeks, our levels of expectation have been exceeded.

We are very happy and pleased to have our mother residing in Dawson Lodge, and wish we had chosen the home three years ago when Mum first required care. In just two weeks, we have seen Mum improve immensely. The staff are all wonderful and helpful, and the home provides many interesting and varied activities for their resident's enjoyment. Well done to all who are associated with Dawson Lodge; keep up the excellent work.
